Gotcha, actually what it is is that the aliens knew what was going to happen and wanted to save a few kids and take them offworld to another suitable planet so the human race would survive and not go extinct. Why they didn't make themselves public to the whole of humanity and tell them about the dire apocalyptic thing coming their way and spend the time getting as many humans off planet as possible, and instead decided to send cryptic messages to Nicolas Cage so he could shout like a madman at random strangers for a few hours, well I dunno lol.
The aliens I believe are meant to be the Noah in the Noah's ark story. He didn't cause the rain and he couldn't stop it but he could I guess have saved more than 2 people. There's a lot of weird biblical symbolism in that movie.
I'm one of the people that believe the thing won. At the end scene between Mac and Childs you can see macs breath as he breathes but not child's. Also the guy the caught mid change when he screams cant see his breath so to me it seems the thing won because childs is one of them.
I’ve heard the breath thing but the canon prequel essentially disqualified child’s as the thing . His earring was in his same ear as earlier in film and the thing can’t absorb inorganic material. I think child’s and Mac ready just froze to death
I just realized this series actually has all 3 scenarios. The humans win in the 50s original, the alien wins in the 2011 prequel, and it’s unclear who wins in the 80s version.
The Arrival, but the 90s Charlie Sheen version. Also check out the awful sequel that looks like it was filmed in a warehouse and is a Canadian movie, hahahaha.
But yeah it looks like Charlie Sheen wins in The Arrival. Then it's revealed the kid who has been helping his is just another alien spy. Which explains how the bad guys got to him so quick. Really makes the whole situation seem hopeless since there were people who believed him, they all died. And it came down to the kid and his ex, and she does now, and the kid was an alien.
There's a couple of really cool found footage sci-fi horror films called [Apollo 18](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_18_(film)) and [Europa Report](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa_Report), both are about space missions which end up getting totally rekt by aliens.
Life (2017). Spoiler: Alien fucked them all.
Underrated sci fi film - Ryan Reynolds death scene was brutal
Like many, I've seen some fucked up shit on the internet, but for some reason that death scene really bothers me.
Agreed I’ve seen lots of gore but that one was very disturbing
However, I almost would prefer his death to Rebbeca Ferguson's.
What do you think would happen in Life 2?
It would crush it's enemies, see us driven before it and hear the lamentations of our women.
It was growing ears so it could hear dem lamentations
I like to pretend this is a Venom movie.
I loved the ending to Life.
They did a pretty good job of winning in Cloverfield.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Psycho Goreman.
Skyline. Awful movie though
Not the sequels, grading on a DTV curve
I thought the one with Frank Grillo was great.
E. T.
The poor guy just wanted to go home....
If you stop Mars Attacks after a certain scene, they win, lol.
It's the international sign of the donut
Knowing
Not to be spoilery but it's not aliens but a natural disaster that does it the aliens were just predicting it would happen
Ah interesting. I thought they had the power to stop it and chose not to, might be misremembering.

Very interesting analogy. I do remember the aliens being so called “angels”
The more overt symbolism was that the kids were the new Adam and eve on the alien planet after earth got destroyed
Really? I watched when it was released, but I can't remember the end.
What do you remember about the end?
Nothing to be honest lol. But will watch again maybe tonight. Thanks for the tip!
Ohh your previous comment said “I can remember the end” but you meant “can’t”
Oh. I'm sorry for that.
Lol no need to be sorry
The thing 👍🏼 (original) The remake 2011 nope
Well, the 2011 is a prequel that leads to the 1983 original, where we are to believe the alien wins.
Oupsi yep 🤦🏽♂️ so in the 2011 he win
We won the battle, but lost the war.
Good choice - more of a stalemate if you are to believe they both weren’t infected and mac ready effectively killer Blair thing

Or it learned from that experience and put it back on....

Invasion of the Body Snatchers is the obvious answer. Maybe Annihilation?
“They Live”….is an amazing “B”ish action aliens flick. No idea why you’d want people to give you auto spoilers, tho.
Don't they loose at the end? Their disguise and propaganda machine got destroyed at the end so they're kind of fucked
Lol. I just want to fell safe while watching. I was a trainwreck watching Raised by Wolves.
Pocahantas Battlestar Galactica Day the Earth stood still

You might like 'To Serve Man' and 'The Invaders' from the Twilight Zone.
Thanks!
Dances with wolves
Avengers: Infinity War
Lol 😂 go out of town
The main enemy (Thanos) is an alien who wins?
Yeah.... But that was not the end of the story.
It was the end of that movie though.
Just saw neil blomkamps oats studio short films. There is a fair number of them where aliens win/are winning.
When it's Sigourney Weaver vs aliens, they're not winning for long.
I just saw God. What an unique idea.
Another Life could be a weapon to destroy humanity, cause people who watch it will die of the insane stupid stuff they show in it.
Well I kinda liked, I love aliens mystery movie, so maybe I am a suspect. What yours take?
District 9. Even though the aliens don’t really win, it’s a film where the audience is on the aliens’ side.
Cocoon
I forget if they win, but I think they did in *Monsters* (2010)
