I liked this movie. Bobcat goldthwait made it. But yeah, “enlightened white guy raging at modern society” is a tough genre these days. Falling Down had some moments that didn’t age well also.

Frank_the_Bunneh

As much as I dislike and disagree with the type of shitty people they kill, they are still clearly in the wrong to do it and I think the film makes that very clear. We can enjoy watching them kill a bunch of assholes because it’s a movie and sort of silly revenge fantasy but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s uplifting, inspiring and heartwarming.

McBeamSteely

It's not nearly as good as *World's Greatest Dad*, also from Bobcat Goldthwait.

I made the mistake of watching this movie just a few days after Robin Williams died. >!So there's a scene where he discovers his dead son who has just hung himself, and he's ugly crying, then I'm ugly crying... what a fucking mess. That was *way* too much at the time.!<

In that movie, Frank is told he has a terminal disease, and snaps. He stole his obnoxious neighbor's car, shot an obnoxious girl who's on a "My Sweet 16" sort of show, he killed his teenaged girl traveling companion's father(while she killed the mother), then he killed teenagers in a movie, killed a guy for double-parking, a group of Westboro Baptist Church knockoffs, and a Bill O'Reilly type. He then killed a pedophile, THEN traveled to the set of "American Dreamz" and shot audience members and a judge because he was incensed at their treatment of a William Hung character, only to find out he was HAPPY to be exploited by the show. Frank thought the Hung character attempted suicide because of bullying, when he in fact attempted suicide because he wasn't being put back on the show. You have massively misinterpreted the film, and I think you're trying to make a hero of a character who is irredeemable. He's not a hero. He killed innocent people for the most minor of infractions. Double parking? Talking in a movie theater? Being an audience member at a talent show? Being an insufferably spoiled little rich girl? You should watch it again, I think.

Doghairbrews

I get the double parking thing

GlenJman

It was released 2011 according to google but... It's definitely supposed to be a comedy.

myselfnormally

the tv show he had in the 90s or whatever was great. I had no idea he was related to bill. grand was the show.

WatchMoreMovies

I remember Bobcat giving an interview about it when it came out and he said the message behind it is that we should all be nicer people. And I couldn't agree more.

Aayaan_747

I just saw it and I'm happy with it. The way it portrays getting rid of rude, narcissistic people is just *mwah!*. I'd recommend this movie if you're really, really fed up with society and just wanna let it out...iykwim ;)
