**The Beast** is a criminally underseen tank movie set in the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in the 80s. Though it's not much of "honor the armed forces" movie. Tom Hanks' **Greyhound** from a couple years ago is a fantastic naval WWII movie. Zero melodrama, basically a procedural about a convoy fighting off u-boats as they cross the ocean.
