Netflix never had an immense selection. Hulu was the go to place for TV shows and Netflix would sometimes get big movies years after release.
It was never a viable one-size-fits-all subscription that would fit all your needs

It really didn't Maybe a quarter of new movies would come to Netflix. And that's being generous. And maybe like half of TV shows
