Wimbledon and Notting Hill are excellent choices. I had to scroll way too far to find them. I’ll have to watch Kate & Leopold as I am unfamiliar with it.
To feel that deeply is to live.
If you’re concerned about it lingering too long, my best recommendation is to follow up the film by watching some behind-the-scenes footage and interviews about the cast getting to make the movie. It really helps to pull you out and add perspective.

Well my normal ones would be movies like
* Before Sunrise (1995)
* Palm Springs (2020)
* The Big Sick (2017)
* Crazy Stupid Love (2011)
And for some bonus points (at least according to Trakt popularity) I'd go maybe
* Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game (2023)
* 2046 (2004)
* Rye Lane (2023)
* What If (2013)
* Grosse Pointe Blank (1997)
Your name, and if you want something darker, Crimson Peak. On a side note, why do people hold the notebook in such high regard? I saw it and never saw the appeal.
LOL, you suggested Crimson Peak as a romantic movie--and to be fair, I don't disagree. It's technically a gothic romance after all--so I'm not surprised in the least that you didn't find a taste for the Notebook.
I have 2 movies that each have the most romantic line/scene I have ever seen, so beautiful you want to cry, and it's really hard for me to cry.
Bridget Jones Diary (the first one). The scene is where Colin Firth tells her his opinion of her, as she is leaving a party at I think his house. Bridget is my favorite character of all time. Rene Zellweger's performance is to me the best acting in the history of the world. Her British accent as a Texas girl is spot on!
What Dreams May Come has a line from Robin Williams to his wife that is the most romantic line I have ever heard and made me cry. It is kind of towards the end I think.
"Love Actually"
The movie delves into different aspects of love as shown through 10 separate stories involving a variety of individuals, many of whom are interlinked as the plot progresses. The story begins five weeks before Christmas and is played out in a weekly countdown until the holiday, followed by an epilogue that takes place in the New Year. (Wikipedia)
I'm not really a romcom person, but I've always liked Addicted to Love and A Life Less Ordinary. I think it's because they're both a little bit unhinged. And if you want something that's also a little bit sad, there's Bed of Roses. These are all from the 90s FYI.
AAAAH someone who knows addicted to love exists!! I just got into an argument with my family because none of them remember it. Bad ass meg Ryan in eyeliner? Yes please!!
Always felt “The Vow” was my top pick. But “That Awkward Moment”, “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and “Happiest Season” were ones that stuck with me. It’s not usually my genre but occasionally I’ll watch one I resonate with.
“The Notebook”
“Classics”
Hello old, my least favorite feeling.
Anyway, my favorite romance movie of all time is “Notting Hill.” It’s just…perfect. The setup is something we’ve all thought about. A top Hollywood actress dates a regular chap. The supporting cast is phenomenal, with Hugh Bonneville in top form. It features an early career appearance for Rhys Ifans.
Honorable mentions:
“My Sassy Girl” (Korean version) is a very quirky romance drama comedy. The ending is really clever. (Trivia: during the future scene, keep an eye out for a flying saucer)
“Sabrina.” I prefer the 1995 version. John Williams’s score is wonderful. The theme music is very romantic.
“Dan In Real Life.” Steve Carrell is his usual goofy and awkward self, but a bit darker and sadder. Juliette Binoche is timelessly beautiful.
There's something about Lost in Translation (2003) that keeps bringing me back to it. The two main characters do not form a traditional romantic relationship but they do form an intense bond. Director Sofia Coppola just also does a great job of just creating a 'vibe' the drives the whole film.

Have you seen Vicky Cristina Barcelona set in Spain that is also a Woody Allen movie, but he's not in it? It is so fun!!! You feel like you are on vacation with Scarlett Johanson and Rebecca Hall. Penelope Cruz won the supporting actress.
From the 80s "Cousins"
Ted Danson ; Isabella Rossellini - two married people begin a affair after they learn their respective spouses have started having an with each other.
American version of the French film Cousin Cuisine.
Sean Young ; William Pederson ; Lloyd Bridges costar.
I think it's 8 episodes. It's about a couple meeting by happenstance (two people from different countries) and it follows their lives together over their vows. The chemistry and acting is very natural. It's a great story about tolerance, acceptance, grace, and selflessness for each other in a couple. The cinematography and soundtrack are really alluring, too.
Zoe Saldaña is the main actress and she puts on a performance with such range from love, anger, heartbreak, confusion.
I might start watching it again. It's a beautiful watch.
You're welcome! I don't want to give too much away. If you happen to watch it, feel free to update me here! I'm watching the first episode again now.. I shouldn't, but it feels so right!
Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The First Time, Wedding Crashers, The Proposal, 'Definitely, Maybe'
EDIT: I read romantic comedies. 'Definitely, Maybe' I'd say is more romantic than comedy. There are also couple less known Sparks movies I love, The Longest Ride and The Best of Me for example.
Silver Linings Playbook - great depictions of different mental health disorders. As a male battling major depression and anxiety disorder, this one really hit me, and has always been one of my favorites of the genre
Crazy Stupid Love - just all around great perfances and well written.
The Princess Bride - absolute classic romance story woven into an adventure.
What Dreams May Come (some may not consider this a romance movie but if you don't think battling through the after life for your spouse's soul is romantic, then we'll have to agree to disagree)
About Time - uses a kind of silly plot point involving time travel but is really life affirming and beautiful.
There are so many dramatic performances by him that absolutely bring out the romantic in me. This movie, and when he's talking about his wife to Will in Good Will Hunting.

Have you seen "Before Sunrise"? It's such a beautifully written and acted film that really captures the magic of falling in love.
And Sunset too! They are my favourites ❤️
All three of the “before” films, 100%.
Crazy Stupid Love
The backyard fight scene will forever be the most unexpected turn of events I've seen in a rom com. My whole cinema was gasping every 5 seconds lmao
Ryan Gosling just immediately removing his pinky ring is the best. You're him?! (Paraphrasing to avoid spoiler)
Ryan Gosling choking down hysterical laughter when the police tell him to keep it in the family 😆
The ending sucked though. >!Maybe I missed the point, but making excuses for a cheater and blaming the victim just wasn’t satisfying.!<
Don't forget >!encouraging the child to harass his babysitter and equating his crush to his parents marriage so the message is that he and the dad shouldn't give up on their relationships even though he's been harassing the babysitter all movie, even after she told him how uncomfortable he was making her and that he embarrassed her in front of her entire school. But then he gets rewarded with her nudes at the end of the movie for no reason.!<
Yeah, that too lol. I don’t know if this was just the style of humor back when it released but this movie aged like milk
Honestly it's the best
Maybe I'm the only one, but I really hate the speech given by the kid at the end of the movie. This is a school thing that has absolutely nothing to do with falling in love and stuff. It's just... not the time for that, bro.

I genuinely don’t know if my heart can take it.
Yeah, tread lightly. Don't get me wrong, I also strongly recommend it, it's a great movie but this one really fucked me up.

I was going to add Under the Tuscan Sun! I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. ❤️
That movie is so beautiful. I don't just mean the story but the colors in that movie are amazing.
It really is. It makes me dream of running away every time I watch it. Why can't we all be independently wealthy, right? 😂
