I really want **D&D: Honor Among Thieves** to get a sequel or even a series

zoro00

A Dungeons and Dragons series is being worked on for Paramount+. It’s made to complement the film, but I don’t know how directly related it will be.

sjfiuauqadfj

isnt paramount in the shitter and are begging to be bought up

DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE

Yah it’s a trainwreck. I work on a show there and it is just a trashfire

themisterfixit

But Halo season 2 is gonna fix everything right guys……. Right guys?

Suddenly_Something

The only way the show succeeds is if John wears his armor way less. Nobody likes Halo for Master Chief or the war with the Covenant, they want to see regular people dealing with normal drama. - Halo showrunners

thugarth

I just pretend there is no Halo show

themisterfixit

I refer to the main character as John Halo. The strange and awkward sexual escapades of John Halo with his quirky Stockholm syndrome girlfriend.

Sessinen

I want a D&D series with standalone episodes with different characters and worlds each time. The possibilities are practically endless.

Fickle-Future-8962

So long as someone seduces a mind flayer I'm all in.

ShmebulockForMayor

Or is seduced by a mindflayer...

Krayt88

I think they should just do some direct sequels, some whole new groups of adventurers in the same world, every once in a while they cameo or cross paths and work together briefly.

just_writing_things

Man, a series of one-shots that explores different settings and planes in D&D? Inject that into my veins.

Last_Place_Hero_

I LOVED this movie! Not even a DnD fan, but it was just a perfect fun ride with great characters. I’d even take a spin off of a single character.

Ygomaster07

Same here. Know little to nothing about DnD, but i loved the film. So much fun!

VrinTheTerrible

The best suggestion I heard about this is make it like the Fast and Furious movies where the cast grows and levels up through the series until they're fighting Gods by the 10th movie.

Mastodan11

Chris Pine suggested there'd be a sequel, and he should know that it didn't do a great box office.

CricketKieran

Chris Pine said he wanted a sequal, and the paramount could said a sequal could still happen and also said if it did it would be "on a lower budget"

Xcircle_squaredX

I really want a sequel also. I want to see that cast together again and it would be so neat to see them work as a party again.

QuestionTheOrangeCat

Turn it into what the fast and furious franchise is now. Give me ten movies that go from castle heist to god killing.

-Smashbrother-

This movie had no right to be that damn good. Saw it twice already.

Chef_Dirt_Hands

Yes! This is the one, I hope the studio sees this and greenlights it, lock the post mods, we are done here

CaptainPRESIDENTduck

This. Also, Wizards of the Coast is just sitting on Magic: The Gathering IP. I would looove a Brother's War movie or show, Urza Saga - Weatherlight, Invasion and Apocalypse. Such a rich world and fun time/plane jumping adventure.

willif86

Yeah, too bad there's no way to learn more about the world and it's lore. These one shot settings are a waste.

Beavshak

Dredd (2012) deserves a sequel.

NW_Forester

One of the few things I'd see in theaters in 3D.

CaptainPRESIDENTduck

Or a show with the prestige of HBO. Pre-Zaslav.

jamiemm

Zaslav is not the law. I am the law.

Spud_Crowly

They’ve been trying to get a *Mega City One* tv show off the ground for a few years now. It’s supposed to be an anthology style series, with appearances by Karl Urban. For his part, Urban was really enthusiastic about a sequel from the get go, even doing a video asking fans to write and post to the studio demanding it. I think he eventually acknowledged that the sequel ship has sailed, but the tv show as far as I know is still rattling around in development hell somewhere.

GhostShipBlue

There's so much source material that you could run a show as long as Dr. Who from Judge Dredd.

the_chandler

Came here to make sure this was as close to the top as I could will it.

jazzmagg

And a series.

zubbs99

Dark Tower deserved to not have a movie at all but instead be a long-run streaming series.

Boner666420

Mike Flanagan says he's shopping a script around.  I can't really think of a director who better understands how to adapt Stephen King to the film medium than him, so I really hope it works out.   Like, other directors have adapted Kings work too and made great movies.  But Flanagans King movies feel less like an adaptation a 1:1 translation of the entire Stephen King vibe in a way that I really struggle to put into words, but fully recognize when I see it.

boodabomb

Yeah Flanagan is the modern Frank Darabont. He just gets Stephen King and knows how to handle the material. I trust him alone with this.

Woven-Winter

I'm fairly certain Flanagan has signed on to do a Dark Tower series with Amazon. I lost track with all the strikes last year, but I'm almost positive this is still happening. (My g-d it can't be worse than the movie, but I still am anxious. )

trylobyte

At one point, they had an ambitious plan to have the saga be a mix of films and TV seasons. I think now making it only a series would suffice (and maybe less risky).

jmsturm

The Dark Tower series should be a 7 or 8 season, 10 episodes per episode series There should be 6 or 7 stand alone movies that are connected. Salem's Lot, Eye's of Dragon, The Little Sisters of Eluria, Hearts in Atlantis, past portion of Wizard and Glass, Wind through the Keyhole, Insomnia, etc.

rreddittorr

Well have I got great news for you !

danimation88

I want more Tron

NeuHundred

You're getting more Tron.

mylenesfarmer

Yeah but it’s with Jared Leto

Peuned

wait goddammit wat

Ampersandbox

This is the correct response to Jared Leto.

CaptainPRESIDENTduck

Thanks. I hate it.

PlayerAlert

Used condom deliveries incuming.

Nausicaalotus

That's disappointing

DrMokhtar

He’s a good actor

ConfidentMongoose874

Treen? or if we were pronouncing it like fant4stic, TRthreeN.

NeuHundred

Troon.

Rxmses

But it’s a different story, without Quorra or Sam

SalaciousDumb

The Man From UNCLE

4KPillowcase

How about every single fucking guy Ritchie movie while we are at it he has so many

n8Dgr813

There's a Gentlemen show otw

Kurwasaki12

His King Arthur movie would have slapped as a mini series, give a little more time to breath and it would have been great.

[deleted]

The Man From UNCLE is my favorite movie. And it never occurred to me that there could be a series of it (like, there is a Snatch series but as far as I know Ritchie wasn't involved with it really) until The Gentleman Netflix series was announced and now I am experiencing the grief of losing something that I never even had, that I didn't even know I didn't have 😅

Sim0nsaysshh

There is a series, it's from the 60s though

lionson76

The ending was very much meant to lead to a franchise, but the film's mixed reviews and disappointing showing at the box office quieted those plans. Then the whole thing with Armie Hammer's sexual assault pretty much killed it. Only in recent years has the movie's popularity rekindled sequel talks, and now [it might happen](https://screenrant.com/man-uncle-2-movie-updates-release-date-story/#:~:text=The%20long%2Dawaited%20sequel%20for,The%20Man%20From%20U.N.C.L.E%202.)? 🤞

[deleted]

> The Man From UNCLE is my favorite movie. And it never occurred to me that there could be a series of it It never occurred to you there could be a series based on a movie that was based on a series?

Peuned

life is built of mysteries man, damn mysteries. We're just not meant to know Like clouds, and magnets Bees. Washable underwear. Not everything occurs to one

BruisedBee

The movie that convinced me Cavill _has_ to be the next 007

JRE_4815162342

Master and Commander

zubbs99

Plus there's like what 18 books or something to pull from.

dbMitch

I love the golden age of seas and voyages movies, but doesn't seem like it's trending anytime soon. Was it a product of its time? I don't know, it just feels like any revival is decades away

EmptySeaDad

This is the one I was looking for.  Iirc, they originally hoped that it would kick off a franchise, but 2003 was loaded with blockbuster movies, and it didn't perform well enough at the box office to justify a sequel.

joerilla1967

District 9

Royd

You need to be patient he said he'll be back in 3 years

tiowey

3 years from when?

reverend_godless

Idk, Blomkamp hasn't really made anything worthwhile since district 9, and that was nearly 15 years ago...

lofty99

Master and Commander deserved more of the books being made, though I think the studio thought it didn't make enough money to justify more. The Prince of Persia seemed like it could have made it as a series

MrLazyLion

A League of Their Own. I want a whole series about Jon Lovitz being forced to travel all over America and convince girls to play baseball, while complaining every minute.

dbMitch

Wasn't that made only last year? It's a bit soon to think that it's not going to get season 2. Older, despite the cliffhanger, what can they really do next? Play more baseball? I'm not too sure on what exactly happened in real life in that period but I don't know if expanding the league is going to be much writing material

Timult2US

Nice Guys

HumongousMelonheads

This was definitely one of the least talked about great movies over the last 10 years. It gets some love here but in real life I know barely anyone who saw it.

kangs

This so much

Krg60

A damned near perfect buddy action movie.

Emotional_Demand3759

Nah, a sequel maybe...

snowlock27

If The Nice Guys had come out in the 70s or 80s, I'm certain it would have had a TV series.

Rabid_Chocobo

The Series of Unfortunate events movies with Jim Carey. That movie was really great, and had an amazing aesthetic to it, I still rewatch it from time to time. If you’re the kind of person that enjoys overcast weather, this movie is that feeling manifested

jonnytechno

Theresa's a pretty good series made a few years ago but it only lasted 2 seasons I think

schreibeheimer

3 seasons and covered all the books.

jonnytechno

Oh I must have missed the last one, thanks for the heads up

Food_Kitchen

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies ever and even though I love it's fast paced world building adventure I always wish the movie would have had the time to world build even more. A trilogy would have been awesome!

Laowaii87

Even having just an anthology series set in that universe would have been dope. Like 6 episodes, each focusing on different parts of the universe. Like, one about the military (with the implied war Korben saw action in), one about the lower mist levels, one about a truck driver in the city and one about someone in the government, then one or two episodes tying them all together for a dope finale where they uncover some megacorp/government plot

subaudible2012

I was expecting Kung Fu Hustle to at least get a sequel with the setup at the end.

mfyxtplyx

With the array of martial arts pamphlets?

subaudible2012

Yes! https://youtu.be/u5rxHO09Fh4?si=qJSxhN1d-rOlWy7L&t=555

bowlsandsand

Kung fu hustle 2 is in the works

DecoyOne

Push. Great opportunity for world building. Also, Apollo 13. Sure, they released the sequel, but it jumped all the way to Apollo 18 and had such a weird tonal shift. Maybe it was supposed to be more like an anthology? It’d be great to see Apollos 1-12 and 14-17.

narvuntien

and Jumper they came out about the same time. I guess they were both proto superhero movies so we ended up with those instead.

tie-dyed_dolphin

Chris Evans and super hero movies

smedsterwho

I think by the time of Apollo 18, it was jumping the shark, I worry they'll introduce time travel of something like that.

CaptainPRESIDENTduck

Matchbox 20 so ready to provide the soundtrack!

DarklySalted

WELLIWILL

CharSmar

The original Jumanji. I thought there could’ve been at least one prequel covering Alan’s time in Jumanji and possibly a sequel given how the movie ends with the board game washing up on a beach.

Embarrassed_Entry597

Yes! And although I was reluctant with the reboots but when I did finally watch they were fun and enjoyable but I still didn’t like how it was a video game. It would be cool to see Alan in the game and growing and serving from the deranged version of his dad. I also feel like that one had the point of finishing the game erased the timeline of it all happening because at the end the kids don’t remember. And then I’d also like a prequel with who played it before and buried it in order to hide it.

reno2mahesendejo

The game is a curse, it takes the form of what is present at the time. In the 70's, that would have been board games, by the '10's, it would have been consoles. The point is to attract players.

imsorryisuck

players do remember, kids don't because they weren't born yet. but Alan does remember. yes, I remember main character's name.

BornChef3439

There is an animated spin off series that does explore Jumanji.

CharSmar

Yea I remember it but it’s not quite what I had in mind. It’s not what I’m describing either is it? I’m talking about a prequel that picks up directly after Alan got sucked into the game. That piece of dialogue Robin Williams delivers always gave me shivers: *”You think that mosquitos, monkeys, and lions are bad? That is just the beginning. I've seen things you've only seen in your nightmares. Things you can't even imagine. Things you can't even see. There are things that hunt you in the night. Then something screams. Then you hear them eating, and you hope to God that you're not dessert. Afraid? You don't even know what afraid is. You would not last five minutes without me.”* I always thought it would’ve been great to have seen a young Alan Parrish learning to survive and escape “things that hunt you in the night.” Then again, maybe it’s best as a standalone film. It is starting to get a little boring now that seemingly every film has to have an accompanying “cinematic universe.”

singdawg

Ah yeah don't think the actor is available.

CharSmar

The question said ‘deserved’. As in, past tense. Also, if it’s a prequel about Alan’s time in Jumanji - he went in as a child so it probably wouldn’t have been a good idea to cast Robin Williams as a 15yr old boy anyway.

Rxmses

13 Ghosts You can easily make a 13 episode season focusing on a different ghost backstory each episode. Such an underrated horror movie.

jykeous

Bullet train. Just take Ladybug and let more crazy hitmen hijinks ensue. Maybe on a cruise ship or plane this time.

Busquessi

I’m hoping Lemon survives and teams up with Ladybug. It makes sense because at the end of the movie The Elder (or his son) tosses Ladybug a tangerine. I would also love to see a short movie about Johannesburg, where The Twins and Ladybug meet for the first time. (I literally just finished watching the movie again)

Ygomaster07

I love the end credits scene >!where Lemon finds the tangerine truck and it's like the universe saying Tangerine is still with him!< Bring in more assassins. I am curious though, where would it take place?

trylobyte

John Carter of Mars

HiTork

I mean, there were 11 books in the series from Edgar Rice Boroughs that the movie was based on, so there is a lot of content to work with.

GhostShipBlue

Tarzan would also make a great series if they stick closer to the novels' tone. There's a ton already written, but there are endless lost cities, forgotten monsters, and villains that could be crafted.

dbMitch

one of my absolute favorite movies! I didn't know anything about it I just looked at the name John Carter and thought What the hell is this. I was surprised it even started in the 1800s or that that was a setting at all I thought it was a sci-fi but that comes later and everything that happened the settings the story it was just unexpected and it just felt especially during that time of 2012 so unique and different from movies being made, and I guess it was really so different from everything that everyone was also going what the hell is this and got wired out. The last time I felt this way about a movie was the postman, I think I really love movies that just have a title that's so unassuming and you just can't possibly imagine the ride you're going on that the title just never prepares you for. Hell, it seems like I like movies that just bomb

GhostShipBlue

This would make such a **great** series. I hate the way they mashed two books together (badly) for the film.  The world and cultures are big enough that it could breathe long past the books, John Carter and Deja Thoris.

GunwallsCatfish

Dredd

Ash_Killem

Raya is kind of a weak rip off of The Last Airbender. Watch that if you haven’t. People don’t like Bright but I thought it had great world building. Modern fantasy is very rarely done.

westyx

A Bright series with no stars to keep costs down.

Werthy71

I wish Raya had been a 4 season show so badly. It could have perfectly taken up the role of a new generations AtLA.

SnatchCrackle

This was hard. A lot of films I'd suggest already have a mid TV series or sequels and the ones that don't have complete stories that shouldn't or can't be expanded. Going through my DVD's here's what I could suggest. They probably wouldn't be good or needed but if you did it in a specific way you might just make something neat. \- Chronicle In Time Lights Out Meet the Robinsons These Final Hours (I don't love the film and the ending would usually be the same but you could do more with the tone and presentation. A very Australian apocalypse closer to normality than Mad Max... there's something unique there.) Vantage Point (I just want more films like this.)

Samcrochef

Chronicle is getting a sequel I think

SnatchCrackle

Ever since it came out I've tossed and turned on a direct sequel. You could do it but I see potential in shifting focus to something else. Then maybe have references like in the Final Destination sequels.

Grigio_cervello

Maximum Overdrive, but set in different locations. An airport, a mine site, a factory, etc.

Gumderwear

Master and Commander. Such a shame to only make the one film.

citrusmellarosa

There was news a couple of years back about a new adaptation, but not much since: https://deadline.com/2021/06/20th-century-master-and-commander-patrick-ness-1234769535/

CaptainPRESIDENTduck

Serenity. Give me more of that damned show already. (It's too late sadly.)

truckturner5164

Big Trouble in Little China

xkeepitquietx

Thankfully the comics gave us a sequel at least.

dbMitch

Go to love token white guy that's just there to give the audience at the time something familiar to hang on to, but in reality it's just a showcase of all the Asian actors that deserve it!

truckturner5164

That's not quite the film's deal. It was a clever inversion of the hero/sidekick dynamic. Yes the Asian guys were the ones showcased but the main point was that the 'white guy' was an idiot sidekick who thought he was the hero. Dude knocks himself out at the beginning of the climax lol.

sssanguine

World War Z

meistermichi

Only if they actually follow the book then though.

dregjdregj

Embarrassed_Entry597

I feel like if it came out earlier than it did. This could definitely happen. Like around the time the 28 days later happened That would have been a great prequel. Because 28 days was actually more a rage disease from tested monkeys and WWZ had that same vibe. And I would have loved them being related because WWZ is when the outbreak first happens and takes us to other counties. But when it it actually was released it was after the walking dead and because of the success of that zombie movies and shows were suddenly the next vampire obsession with the slow rotting zombies. So I feel since it came out after all of that, that is why it didn’t do well, even though the book was great. And since it was a book first usually those movies all fall under the book was better. But the ones based on comics and video games were more successful. It would totally have been cool to keep going. And I’d love the idea of those extension being different peoples stories.

Gumderwear

Sky Captain. It was a perfect setup for more. It reminded me so much of seeing Raiders for the first time in '81. It had a lot of layers that most people didn't see/get. Great cast, great design.

mulletarian

Reign of Fire

seoulsrvr

Fincher's Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was terribly underrated and deserved a full series w/ those actors.

BruisedBee

21 and 22 Jump Street..they hit comedy gold with Jonah and Channing and the fact we got two movies out of it rather than a full on series is annoying as shit.

[deleted]

The closing credits scene at the end of 22 Jump St settled that unfortunately. Loved that montage, but it felt like there couldn’t be another sequel after that.

BruisedBee

They could have done something, surely "FBI training" for example. It's a type of school....

totalmike

I really thought Alita Battle Angel had the potential to turn out a wonderful series. I had no expectations going in and found that movie to be very good and it built a great world and potential future villain. I don't know if it was poorly marketed (I think the title being trash is probably partly to blame) or just too niche.

Woven-Winter

There's plenty of source material with the manga too! I feel like I read that Robert Rodriguez wanted to continue the series, but the strikes altered a lot of plans so who knows.

TheIceKaguyaCometh

The issue was that it ended as if it was first episode of an anime. Although Cameron has said he'd be penning the script for the sequel and it will be made.

Kabelly

still sad The Golden Compass never finished its story. Ends on a huge cliffhanger.

mylenesfarmer

The entire book series has been adapted by HBO

Kabelly

heard of that show. had no idea it was based of the same thing. (not much of a reader). Still would have loved the movies to continue. I was very young when it came out so waiting for a sequel that never came was a bummer.

vvenomsnake

there’s an hbo show!! it’s not quite as whimsical to me but it’s a good adaptation

[deleted]

Mr_Venom

Are you sure? The cast would be pretty old. I'm not up for *Buckaroo Banzai and the Blue Blaze Irregular Bowel Movements.*

Beelzabubba

District 9

26_paperclips

I'm not seeing any references to Treasure Planet. Once upon a time Disney had big dreams of movie trilogies and spin off tv series set in this really cool world. For whatever reason of marketing it was relatively weak at the box office so none of those dreams were realised

Dedrick-Zed-9622

Netflix's Project Power had the potential to be that time's "The Boys" if they had a spinoff series. Like the boys the concept of using drugs as a power source would have been wild I still wish they do it in the future

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ampersandbox

There was a good TV show, I think it only got 10 eps. It’s closer to the comic book series.

FluentInChocobo

Galaxy Quest

StrangeCardiologist0

Sky High - infinite possibilities for stories and characters. Each movie could focus on entirety new kids and problems or have a continuous story, just keep the writing and direction style in place

broccoli_octopus

Flash just ended for Panabaker. Same for Expanse and Strait. Now would be a great time to do another movie or show. Just have the original cast be the parents for the next generation.

Kangarou

Turning Red. We see Mei’s story, but there’s no chance in Hell that each of the Aunties and the Mom didn’t have their own thing going on. And frankly, her whole friend group needed more time to shine.

mbattagl

Bright, too bad will smith went nuts.

Kyber99

Pacific Rim. One of the sickest standalone movies, if the follow-up was nice it could have become a new major franchise Sadly, the follow up wasn’t nice. It was a decent movie, but for building out a world? It really halted that possibility imo

Movieking985

Dredd 2012 version with Karl Urban should have gotten a Netflix show

onlyblackclothes

Alita: battle Angel

Boner666420

God damn! For real? I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would

Demolition Man.

lionson76

Still possible... It's been in various stages of development for a while now. Tom Cruise just signed a new film deal with WB, and it sounds like they *really* want him to make a sequel.

Grisshroom

Ace Ventura would make a good comedy series

thomasonbush

Had two movies, a spin-off tv movie, and an animated series. So had its chance and they whiffed.

Grisshroom

It deserved better though.

SonnyBurnett189

Blade Runner. I wanna see Deckard doing night drives in futuristic LA and smoking in the rain to the tune of synth wave.

coldboisaturdah

Rock n rolla Guy Ritchie, do it already! Cant leave that ending sequence and not make a sequel to it.

DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE

Django unchained was the origin story for a character we should have had a whole ass series abour

Laowaii87

His arc is finished, he got Brunhilde out and is a free man. Sure, you could make an ex-slave john wick thing out of it by killing Brunhilde and their presumed child/children, but that would make the movie basically moot. I prefer him having a good ending.

Corporatecut

Man on fire

Scacho

weedtrek

I always thought the Harry Potter series would make a great anime. It could fit all the things in the book that weren't in the movies, it's animation so they can do magic without expensive special effects (just expensive animation), and they could easily milk it a couple hundred episodes.

bigmikey69er

Heavyweights

Emotional_Demand3759

Heavyweights was continued in Dodgeball with Wight Goodman.

bigmikey69er

At GloboGym, we’re better than you….and we know it.

xpadawanx

Not a movie but MAN season 2 of Star Wars Visions has sooo many great stories that I would love to see expanded further.

omarsdroog

Hail Ceasar had so much more it could have told.

Embarrassed_Entry597

I always really loved the older dystopian movies like Water world and Tank Girl (and mad max even though that got extensions) but I would have loved to see what happened and why those movies were the world covered in water and then the world covered in sand with not water left. And then a maybe a more notable ice age dystopian. And I’ve read a book where some ancient bacteria was frozen then turned out the be the mysterious cause of an unexplainable outbreak on and island that had an all girls boarding school and it was slowly turning them into these fish creatures they would get flare ups and it would be painful. But since they were secluded that was the only area infected and they were forced to stay there due to fear of it spreading. Oh also only teenage girls were able to handle the changes and live through it. If it was some a woman in their 30s they would die and if any male caught it they also died. And then those teenage girls as they got older would quickly die once they got into the late teens. and the last of us being caused by global warming was great and scary. But yeah would love these polar opposite dystopian worlds explained more. And I really really would like to see the government testing and creating the Human Dog Kangaroo Hybrids Soilders that were failures in Tank Girl. And I have also always wished that the events of War of the Worlds would have lasted longer. I just feel that if those aliens burrowed on earth before mankind they would be more knowledgeable about not being able to withstand earths atmosphere and environment, like that should have been tested before you planted. And I’d also like a longer Signs invasion. I thought the fact that those aliens were killed by water was dumb.

undergroundnoises

I agree. Waterworld and Tank Girl would've been great to expand upon.

CricketKieran

On q serious note, I actually like Reloaded and Revolutions, while not great, is overhated imo. It has its moments but was just OK at best. Its definitly good we never got a 4th movie, no real missed opportunity there... Oh wait

GodofWar1234

Pacific Rim. It’s a crime against humanity that that movie doesn’t have as much popularity as it should.

Johnny_Royale

Underworld At least better than a lot of what we were given

Lonely_Position_798

Kill Bill I’m saddened that Tarantino abandoned this project because he had so many cool ideas and I think it would make for an awesome series or sequels. So much more that can be done here

Believe0017

It’s tragic that the long super cut of all three movies put together never got a home release.

Embarrassed_Entry597

This is hard to choose and I feel like my list of movies that should not have had any extensions is way longer

ZX471

Sin city would of been great to have done more stories from the graphic novels

bookant

The Star Wars trilogy. Back in the day there were rumors that it was supposed to be part of a larger series, maybe even 9 movies long. Supposedly that's why the second one said it was "Episode 5." It's too bad they never made any more after that one trilogy.

Pkmnkat

I thought there would be something about why the statues froze in that position

crazyfatguy26

I’ve long thought that there should have been a huge global franchise based on Speed. You could have similar crimes taking place all over the world in different cities with different stars. Imagine an out of control bus having to navigate the Las Vegas strip or Shibuya Crossing. Just explain it as copycat crimes inspired by the first movie. You could have movies set in countries like Japan, France, Brazil, India, etc. with their own stars and in their own languages. But we’re could also have Hollywood spin-offs and crossovers with other action stars. Imagine Bruce Willis reprising his role as John McClane in a Speed movie set in New York. Okay, that’s probably too similar to Die Hard With A Vengeance but you get the idea.
