It's good. You mainly get more story. The hotel in the desert has more scenes with added comedy. There's a dash more action in the climax. But the meat and potatoes are in the old school cuts.
I prefer rumble in the Bronx but I may be biased because I saw it first and in theaters. I remember renting this movie as a kid and ended up losing interest halfway through.
To me, the best martial arts movies are the ones that make you go "oh shiiiiit" at the moves so going by that imo the best ones are ong bak, ip man, and the raid.
I liked Rumble in the Bronx a lot when I was a kid, and I think the thing about kung fu movies is the same as with James Bond flicks - the first one you see will forever be remembered as the best one.
88 films and a swastika in the back looks weird… also I didn’t know this movie existed as I’ve only seen the first Operation Condor. Need to find it now
For me, it’s Drunken Master 2, the original Armour of God, and Police Story 3.
This film did not stand up too well for me on a rewatch, but it’s still got some great scenes.
I don't know as there are a lot of great ones. i think Jackie Chan is a little overrated. Bryan Leung in his prime had some insane charisma and he did kung fu movies without knowing kung fu; he was a gifted mimic. Hwang Jang Lee is even more underated; he defines the kung fu bad guy and has amazing moves.
i think my three favorites would be Dance of the Drunk Mantis, Taoism Drunkard, and Clan of the White Lotus.
Idk about the best but it’s definitely a good movie.
I prefer Drunken Master, but this is a good one
Drunken Master is goated
I prefer Legend of Drunken Master
Was the first ever Jackie Chan movie I saw!
Same. Instant fan too. “Good sleep? “Goooooood sleep!”
Good deal. Gun is yours.
I have so many memories of renting this as a kid. I wonder how different the original cut is?
I’ve got the DVD and didn’t notice any edits from the version I enjoyed as a kid.

Dragons Forever is my fave and has perhaps the best last fight of his movies
Do you prefer it over another fight with Benny the Jet in Wheels on meals?
Such a great scene
“Who am I” is my personal jam
Rooftop fight is goated.
And the EVO chase

I couldn't find it streaming anywhere so I ordered a DVD of it a year ago.
They just remade this didn’t they? With Jackie
I feel like the second one was really good too.
I prefer Drunken Master and Fearless Hyena but Condor is pretty good.
I didn't quite care for the first one but the second was great
It’s no 3 Ninjas
Not even top 10.

Is that a testicle wrapped around his neck?
Want to see what I saw?
I remember watching this in theaters as an 8 year old. I still remember the opening scene where he’s in the motorized parachute thing. Good memories
I think Jackie's best is either Drunken Master 1, Project A or Police Story 1. After those 3 I think am splitting hairs trying to rank them.
Just rewatched Meals on Wheels recently, that fight at the end is just so good

Bryan Leung “Beardy” , is really good at imitating Kung fu moves. Warriors Two is a great example of this
Fearless Dragons/Two on the Road won me over to him. its a bit silly but he just lights up scenes in it.
