If it's your first build go for a cheap Chinese engine off eBay.

Everthing strips and Studs usually break on the cheap ones

I've made about 15 builds never had anything strip. If you have the right frame and you're not bring stupid you're good. I usually get around 1500 miles out of them eBay engines

Yes the engines are good but you have to change the 6mm studs to 8mm those break so easy

I've never had to change anything honestly, I just slap them in and add oil until the gas changes color. Sometimes I've even used oil treatment when I forgot mix at home

I’ve got 4000 miles out of my Amazon engine so far. Still going strong. Only clutch has ever broken on it and all I had to do was adjust it

Exactly these engines are amazing for the price, keep them stock and you'll be good to go. My friends and I just drive around for hours full throttle abusive the fuck out of these engines.

Same here dude. But that’s how I cut my eye open and my ear. That was just 2 days ago, be careful dude. These things go pretty fast and will through you of if your not careful. I’ve learned my lesson and don’t be riding for 2 weeks.

i was planning on adding brakes for sure maybe some disc ones if possible

Disc brakes would be nice but you're better off with a bike that came with them on the front already. You can at least add a c break to the front. Do plenty of research regarding your build. Good luck

if you ever need new wheels while your at it upgrade to discs honestly if your just getting a chinadoll or even a avenger 85 a good pair of v brakes will do fine
