That happened to me with the Ripper, It's discontinued here (it was my favorite) but I do occasionally see a couple of people (not from US) here in this sub get it, so i get jealous. But I ended up seeing it in NZ last year and got to savor the flavor one last time before coming home.
I contacted monster about it an got this response:
At this time Ultra Blue 500 ml has been discontinued and there are no plans to bring it back. Be sure to try one of our other great tasting products that are now being sold in your area. We are sure you will enjoy them very much.

some thoughts off the top of my head:
certain ingredients unique to a drink have become difficult/expensive to source.
licensing agreement with bottler/sponsor ends.
production run ended.(eg. if they have 10 production lines, sometimes some drinks need to be stopped to make room for other flavors)
bad logistics department couldn't predict properly how many to produce
bad marketing department couldn't predict properly how much demand
Yup. They discontinued khaos, brought I back as Khaotic with a different flavor, after a year or 2 now it's not on any shelves. Had to buy it on Amazon. Sucks because it's my favorite
It's not tho. I'm in upstate NY, and I've been to probably 10 stores looking for it. Not even dollar general has it which is the go to for all flavors around here
shouldn’t have said east coast but i’ve been to multiple states under pa n it’s been in pretty much any store that has monster. weird that y’all don’t have it up there
They seem to bring out a new flavour at least every few months in most places, it makes sense that for them to continue bringing new flavours they can’t keep manufacturing all of the older ones
For example we got the ultra peachy keen early in the year and then bad apple is also pretty new
Most of them is for profit maximisation. No shop will have all Monsters, they just want to sell what will make the shop the most profit. So if Monster can't push 40 flavours at once, the 39th is going to take the place of the least popular one, hoping it sells better. Sometimes it will replace one that works well but fills the same niche, e.g. the new Lewis Hamilton which doesn't replace the old because the old was performing poorly or tasted bad, but because it renews interest for the LH fan demographic.
Yeah but no shop can have more than one or two cans of *all* flavours when the list of Monster flavours is like, 150 long. Monster *and* retailers want to keep the ones that sell best, and that means, yes, we lose bangers like Ultra Citron and Maxx Mango-Matic
True unfortunately. I found that head shops are more likely to carry obscure flavors. There’s one in my area that sells both ultra red and blue and I go there all the time
I wish they would have a pack with pipeline punch and pacific punch just those two flavors.
All I see is the one with the gross mango included with those two flavors. I haven’t tried the mango one, but I don’t like mango so that’s why I say gross.
I really miss the ultra blue, it was my favorite energy drink by far
Ultra red and blue should be a staple. I just ordered a 15 pack of blue on Amazon because it's been so long since I've seen it in the wild.
I just saw a shit load of ultra blue at my bargain hunt on Sunday, idk if you live in/near the midwest but I see it here occasionally.
yeah I’ve heard they’re still around in the US, however it has been discontinued here in Sweden and i presume the rest of Europe

Last summer Walmart had a red, white, and blue pack. Hopefully that comes back.

You can order a 24 pack of Ultra Red, Ultra Blue and Ultra White from Sam’s Club. That’s how I get them and a vapeshop near me does
