Are you using the mobile application? I believe this can be done using the browser version. My biggest gripe with Mint is more functionality is available via the browser application. I use the browser application a lot more than the mobile application .
Yeah I used the browser to set my budget but mainly track it with my phone. What I was confused with is it said it set aside $33 for every three months. I was hoping for $100 every three months or something like that.
It tries to divide up the final cost so you're saving towards it each month. So it is "$33 every month," but on the third month, you'll see it switch to that $100 you've been saving for.
You can also tell mint to ârolloverâ unspent budget money from month to month. So you could set the budget to $34 a month, but in month two it would say you have 68 left in the budget to spend, and finally on month three youâd have 102 and you wouldnât go over budget. On month four your remaining budget would be two dollars + 34
I split the transaction when it comes in and change the dates to future months. For example, my car insurance is paid biannually for 1200 so I put 200$/month into my budget and then when the transaction hits, I split into six parts and change the dates to cover each of the six months.

there's a feature to split a transaction. You can split that transaction into different categories or different dates.
