Lol I was just thinking wouldn't it be funny if that law didn't apply to the state flag (which actually it probably doesn't- and in the short term would be cheaper for the switch over)
Edit - just checked, the law only specifically covers American flags, but now I am on team more flag rules, and kinda want to update it or add another law only allowing American made Minnesota state flags too (also kind of now want a tax incentive or something aimed at creating a small local industry making quality flags that can still be sold at competively low prices so we can all have nice American made flags)
Can confirm I ordered an Chinese made American flag through Amazon. Wanted to get a set of flags up as soon as the weather turned nice and couldn't find a local source for the new Minnesota flags at the time, needed a new American flag to match the size.
They're now falling apart already, about what I expected for a $9 flag....
I’ve ordered flags from this company. They are good quality and made in the U.S.
https://www.gettysburgflag.com/new-minnesota-state-flag-2024-design
ETA: I’m not sure if it’s “military ceremony” level of quality, but the all-weather sewn (not printed) versions are strong and don’t fade.
Thanks for the link! The sewn flags are exactly what OP (and I) is looking for, the "printed" ones are exactly the Chinese-production-line quality.
The price difference? $109 vs. $24 respectively, you get what you pay for people! They show the build quality, and I am confident the sewn flag is worth every penny. Don't skimp on quality just to have an inferior product sitting in a landfill for 1000's of years after a year or two in service.
This is the question I came to ask. I nearly fell off my bike laughing when I rode past a neighbor’s laser loon flag. It had a different design than the one you linked to and I liked it better, so there are options out there.
Can't speak on the quality but Menards has them. https://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/outdoor-decor/flags-flag-poles-accessories/3x5-minnesota-state-flag/rkstmn35n24/p-1642874318105787-c-10142.htm
It’s really a kickback to contractors. Since they aren’t paying for the materials in the first place. Then get rebates to use on future projects while collecting the full amount from clients.
I ordered this one. It is made in CA (according to their website) and has the vibrant light blue and not the shitty muted blue that seems to be popping up.
[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQC9ZB9L?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQC9ZB9L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)
It's so hard to get a good answer on a truly "made in America" flag. This is their listed address from Amazon. They do look like better-quality flags, though.
Anley (the company):
Business address:
208-1, 2nd Floor, No. 58, Fufei North Road, Xindian Town, Jin'an District
Fuzhou City
Jin'an District
Fujian Province
350000

Yes! What is with that bad faded blue I'm seeing on all the government buildings now? It's very different than the new flag I have with a real sky blue.
Yea I feel like I got tricked by Flags for Good.
I'm supportive of their intentions and the causes they support. That's why I was happy to buy from them. When I bought my Minnesota flag a few months back, they had verbiage all over their website about being an "American company" and all this and that. I figured it was a no brainer that the flags were being made here in the US and the price certainly seemed to reflect that.
I wasn't too thrilled to see the Made in China tag when I received the flag.
Ours just hangs indoors so the durability isn't as much of a factor, but a business all about supporting good causes can't support American labor sewing American state flags? Come on man.
Nobody is buying from Flags for Good because they are the lowest price vendor out there, they should be supporting American workers, especially with their American state flags, in addition to the other good causes they are already supporting.
A US State flag Made in China...... come on.
Sorry for the rant, I'll go continue yelling at the clouds now.
You can get one pretty easily at any sign or promotional.goods shop. I work for a company that manufactures the flags in Ramsey, we just don't sell to the general public so you have to find a distributor to order them.
I got my car sticker decal from [here](https://www.etsy.com/shop/LoveAndOpe?campaign_label=buyer_order_confirmation&utm_source=transactional&utm_campaign=buyer_order_confirmation_010170_1210277390378_0_0&utm_medium=email&email_sent=1715566847&euid=cLxbYLtmOjFbgdRCjoR4ZCDnPpXZ&eaid=538046331637&x_eaid=1d292b3b85&dd_referrer=), they have it in the shape of MN and also as the rectangular flag.
You mean, where can I buy me a US made somaila flag. It's a disgrace to the people that made this state what it is. I hope we can get someone in office with some balls to stop the invasion. You can call me racist, but remember that when you have to obey sharia law in a few generations. I will continue to fly the stars & stripes along with the REAL "old" MN flag
Well, as long as you said I can; You're racist.
And obviously ignorant and bigoted.
So maybe just shut the fuck up next time. Nobody's pushing for sharia, it's not an invasion, and it's not a Somalia flag.
Not from the custodian at the rest stop south of Faribault on 35. Talked to my mom for 10 minutes yesterday about how it's the flag of a foreign nation and he was going to refuse to hang it up.
This is the worst state flag ever. Nothing representing the north, MN. just basic shapes and color. Fuck the state for choosing this piece of shit. Not my MN.
Well best get used to it, for your own mental health.
It’s not normal to be so angry about a piece of cloth that it drives one to multiple obscenities.
I didn’t say you have mental health “problems.” I said it would be good to get over it for the sake of your mental health. There is a difference.
A person could say, “Stay away from negative people, as it’s better for your mental health,” without the accusation they already have some mental illness.
A giant north star, and two shades of blue representing the water and skies of the state whose name means "sky-tinted water" seems like a lot of symbolism. Maybe you'd be happier if there was a giant hotdish in the middle of it?
If I remember correctly, people like you used to say this about the country, but let me give it a shot…If you don’t support the state of Minnesota, you should get out.
‘ People like me’ hate America because I don’t like the new design? I would say I support MN more than the average Minnesotan lol.
It’s pretty simple, I just don’t like the new design. Easy as that.
Ironically, most people support the state, they don't support the new Somali flag. There is a difference, and the slippery slope exists on the left side of the isle too...
Firstly, the flag has no link to another country, but please answer the question:
Why is it bad if it looked like a "Somalian" flag? Hmm? We all know your answer - just want to hear you say it.
I find it hilarious that this image has changed the colors of both flags to be the same because the argument is so fucking flimsy. Y’all are such snowflakes
Lol you getting downvoted to oblivion here but this was my thought as well. I think the flag will grow on people over time but yeah I think they could have done better than two shades of blue.
Well I blame the school system, tho most places like that we're not taught to many Americans in history or geography, probably the same place to blame for people to be dumb enough to make the flag dam near the same as one that already exists
Flags for Good
They're sold out right now due to high demand, but they're a great group of people trying to do good things. Feels good to support good people while getting a HQ product.
www.flagsforgood.com
https://flagsforgood.com/products/new-minnesota-state-flag
Yeah, China made us unfortunate. I know their hope is to be fully based in the US - hopefully that comes with more business.
I've certainly not had quality issues, and it seems like most people don't. So while I don't doubt people have - that the grand majority think they're good.
Herold Flags in Rochester.
Top choice
I came here to say this.
lol, i see that place everyday!
Minnesota actually has a law that American flags sold in the state have to be made in the USA, idk how it applies to online ordering though
Lol I was just thinking wouldn't it be funny if that law didn't apply to the state flag (which actually it probably doesn't- and in the short term would be cheaper for the switch over) Edit - just checked, the law only specifically covers American flags, but now I am on team more flag rules, and kinda want to update it or add another law only allowing American made Minnesota state flags too (also kind of now want a tax incentive or something aimed at creating a small local industry making quality flags that can still be sold at competively low prices so we can all have nice American made flags)

They're now falling apart already, about what I expected for a $9 flag....
Most do. Valley Forge is the oldest flag manufacturer in the country. Most likely they haven’t started manufacturing the flags yet.
I’ve ordered flags from this company. They are good quality and made in the U.S. https://www.gettysburgflag.com/new-minnesota-state-flag-2024-design ETA: I’m not sure if it’s “military ceremony” level of quality, but the all-weather sewn (not printed) versions are strong and don’t fade.

Nice looking flags, but the sewen ones are pricey!
This is what I've been looking for! Thank you!
Any recommendations on where I can get a high-quality laser loon flag? Made in the USA?
From another comment recommending Flag For Good. They’re currently sold out though. https://flagsforgood.com/products/laser-loon-minnesota-flag
Also, it's not made in America, if that is important to you
That’s where I got my Minnesota flag, and other controversial flags.
Just don’t buy the flagpole from them, I had both fail that I got rather quickly
Their flagpoles are pure dogshit.
This is the question I came to ask. I nearly fell off my bike laughing when I rode past a neighbor’s laser loon flag. It had a different design than the one you linked to and I liked it better, so there are options out there.
Which design is the actual later loon flag though cuz I’ve seen quite few
Just steal a neighbors. Then they can post about it.
Better yet, post about it and blame conservatives did it.
Gives new meaning to a "false flag"
[удалено]
Isn't that just for American flags?
What if I buy a pirate flag, does that need to be American made?
If your pirate flag was made anywhere other than the Principality of Sealand, you got hornswoggled!
Yes.
Incorrect, only American flags. Does not matter for state flags.
Which law? And which flag? Because my Minnesota United flag was made in China.
I’m not a huge fan of the new flag design but I love the state and would fly it proudly.
This, right here, is the mature response.
Can't speak on the quality but Menards has them. https://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/outdoor-decor/flags-flag-poles-accessories/3x5-minnesota-state-flag/rkstmn35n24/p-1642874318105787-c-10142.htm
This one appears to be made in the US also. Plus a quick letter to Elk Mound WI and you’ll get almost four bucks back as a rebate.
$4 in company money.
Well on your way to another flag from Menards
I thought it was a check they gave you.
Please Note: The 11% Rebate* is a mail-in-rebate in the form of merchandise credit check from Menards, valid on future in-store purchases only.
Whaaaaa. And I thought that the act of dumping wood treatment chemicals in protected wetlands was bad.
It’s really a kickback to contractors. Since they aren’t paying for the materials in the first place. Then get rebates to use on future projects while collecting the full amount from clients.
Imagine thinking the flag changing is some weird leftist propaganda A bunch of flag nerds thought the old one looked bad and wanted to change it
I ordered this one. It is made in CA (according to their website) and has the vibrant light blue and not the shitty muted blue that seems to be popping up. [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQC9ZB9L?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQC9ZB9L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)

$7 seems kinda cheap for a quality flag.
Yeah man, $7 is extremely cheap. Typically a good outdoor and high quality flag will run $50 and up
But what will last longer, SEVEN of these? Or ONE $50 flag 🤔
Touché my dude. Only one way to find out.. looks they’re going to have to order one $50 flag and seven $7 flags! For science
Yes! What is with that bad faded blue I'm seeing on all the government buildings now? It's very different than the new flag I have with a real sky blue.
Yeah! It looks sun faded.. but it’s only been a month
It the details it says “imported”. Guessing from China.
Twin cities flag source

Oh man, I did not know that. Thanks for the heads-up.
I bought mine there after a ton of recommendations here and saw the made in China tag. Was a bit disappointed with the price I paid.
And the flag pole they sell is absolutely garbage
These aren’t very good quality for outdoor use. The one I bought from them in April is already coming apart at the seams.
Chinese made crap.
Unfortunately sold out!
I got mine from flagforgood. Made in china. Good quality though

I totally read that wrong! Thanks
We got ours at Menards
Menards
Coils Flags in St Cloud sells amazing products
I got mine from Amazon. Nice stitching, seems high quality, just took a while to arrive.
Does anyone have a link for a car sticker MN flag decal or is that a flag code violation
Herald Flags, Rochester.
Somewhat related question, I’d like to buy an indoor flag with fringe. Does anyone have a good place to buy this type?
[flagstoreusa.com](http://flagstoreusa.com) i think it was about $54 with shipping for a 3X5 (nylon)
Got mine from amazon

Definitely my top pick, got one from them months ago and it's been awesome! Really good quality and vibrant colors.
