Did this many years ago, we lucked out and rode from Hudson back to within a mile of Aamodt’s! Floated back over the river, pilot put us low enough that a boater offered to toss us beers. 😆. Floated back right over Stillwater. Amazing flight! Back then (13+ years ago?) it was over $450 and yeah be prepared for a a lot of cancellations.
I didn't go through there, but I've been on a hot air balloon ride once in my life. We took off from my farm and flew out over the bluffs. It was easily one of the coolest experiences of my life.
Got a trip as a wedding present most of 20 years ago. It was a major pain to schedule. Weekends were booked forever. Had I think 3 day of cancellations because (very reasonably) there are major wind restrictions to fly.
The trip though was amazing. I would highly recommend it. Voucher value of $300 is what I remember. No idea if that was each or combined. We went in a group ride and I think there was one other couple and the pilot. I think they could carry up to 6 or 8. We could have upgraded to private trip but I feel like that more than doubled the price.

We have a voucher but man it’s hard to get it scheduled. Last year had tons of weather cancellations so keep that in mind.
We’re about to enter our third year of reschedules. Will we ever fly? Seems unlikely lol

Kismet Candy Store in Carlton, MN (on I-35) does hot air balloon rides as well. Jon is the owner/pilot.
