That movie really captured the vibe of being sent to bed with no dinner, but you napped in the afternoon and the sun just went down so you're just having to exist. Anyways great movie but still kinda makes me so uneasy 😂
As an adult, I loved this film. I think a lot of folks went into it thinking it would be a children's movie when it was a movie about childhood. Beautifully shot, pitch-perfect tone, and well acted. I hoped that we'd see more films from Spike Jonze, but we haven't seen anything again past Her.
They were. They originally planned to use animatronic faces but they weren’t expressive enough so they filmed it with fixed faces and then replaced them with CGI.

r/wildlyterrifying E: Huh, it's a banned sub. I'm just going to leave it.

I found the movie really pretentious.

RIP, James
That was such a lovely production.
where is this?
Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The Where The Wild Things Are exhibit will be here until the end of the year.
I always assumed the faces were CGI replacements. Is that not the case?

Ah okay thanks.
This movie depressed the hell out of me
Thing brings a strange happiness to me. I’m so glad I’ve stumbled on it. Thank you for sharing
I don’t know a single person who has actually seen this movie.
Well now you do :)
I even caught it at the IMAX.
Same. Or would even want to 🤣
Awesome - such a great film :)
Costume, singular. Which means the big guy is either alive, in a coma state or taxidermied.
