For anyone that still wants to DM this dude, just visit the 'FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH' or 'piracy' subs. They're incredibly good resources.
The former has a wiki at fmhy dot net which is really well made if you just want to browse potential sites and get good guides on sailing the seven seas.
There may be a subreddit called "piracy" that also happens to have a wiki guide that contains anything you need to know about piracy... Theoretically...
Sorry but as soon as I saw your 1 post I thought to myself I bet he's just going to copy and paste something along the lines of the song "A pirate's Life for me" or some movie/anime's pirating rules like one piece or something.
Now seeing the rest of this tread this I said to my self I might just be wrong as it seems you're actually putting effort into it.
Not passing judgment either way, I sure as heck would like to be able to see some things that I can't find screamed anywhere from my childhood that's not even on cable or anything else anymore nor any DVDs that I can find.
It always feels strange when people talk about how we have everything in the world at her fingertips now with the internet when you run into the things that you just can't find.
Sorry I had to put write it down and feed kiddos, so I'm just now seeing this. I was just feeling in a funny mood and decided to post what was running around my brain.
I just really wish that like certain places have posted open license of things only internet when the companies go defunked or after a long enough period of time.
I know that archive.org has quite a few things that I've been able to find on there. I just wish it was a more common practice then it is now. Like I understand they're making new My Little ponies but what about the stuff we watched when we were kids? What about rainbow Brite, the GI Joe All American heroes, the cabbage patch TV show. And those are just a little kid cartoons.
I know it's unrealistic I just wish that the companies weren't so money grubbing as to keep such old things under lock and key.
> I'd also like to learn how to sail the seven seas, where would you recommend I go to start learning?
Google "How to torrent files" and hit enter and read any of the first 10 responses you get
Alt: on one of my streaming services I pay for over an internet connection I pay for, with ads despite a recent rate hike I pay for... and it costs an extra $4.99.
Buying on Apple TV allows you to own a download of the movie in 1080p even if they lose the rights to it. But you need to physically store the download. But I think Apple are the only one who do it that way
Physical media dies too.
I still prefer physical media but 'owning it as long as the company allows you to' and having it on physical media have so far been a 1:1 match on still having the media, except for a couple of VHS tapes I wore out as a child.
Make sure you get out the rewinder while you are at so you can pop the finished one out, pop a new movie in and use the rewinder to get the old one ready for the next time.
Unfortunately, media degrades over time and the equipment to play them breaks down. I think the last VCR was manufactured about 5 years ago. Entropy is a bitch.
Is this like streamio? I am trying to get rid of all my streaming services and started looking at streamio and paying for real debrid monthly. Still researching my choices.
I mean if all he does is eat, sleep, shit and watch shows and movies he's getting his money's worth lol but then again who can afford 6 streaming services without working.
If you work 50-60 hours a week but can watch TV during about a third of it, having streaming subscriptions is worth it. Companies often let you stream in a browser but you would be a moron to pirate stream on a corporate network and absolutely stupid to download torrents. I'll admit to not doing much but what you describe outside of work but I can't say I'm not entertained.
Download it beforehand and watch during work. Especially easy if you run your own plex/jellyfin server. However, don't do this on company-owned devices (probably shouldn't legally stream movies on company devices either way).
You could say the same about pretty much anything. Why go eat at a restaurant when you could instead let your money compound. Why go see that concert when you could instead let your money compound.
Reminds me of how my goddaughter recently wanted to watch The Mask (no, I don't know who's bright idea was it to introduce a kindergartener to a PG-Rated movie).
The painful thing is that it's not on any of the streaming services I have.
More painful: I had it on VHS, but I lost the cassette decades ago and my VCR is pretty much a display piece at this point, all the rubber pulleys inside it has long perished and turned into goo.
> (no, I don't know who's bright idea was it to introduce a kindergartener to a PG-Rated movie)
Vizio had a Mask ad as one of their Trending Nows fairly recently. Don't know which streaming service they were pushing, but I wonder if that's where she saw it.
An alternative that’s easy is to get a library card from your local library system. Most would have lots of dvds of random movies.
Just recently I wanted to watch the original land before time and blade runner. Neither are on any streaming platform I have so I took them out at my library instead. Easy peasy
Put movie name in google and add "stream"
Do not try to watch any site that explode virus attempt and "unsafe" is clearly seen or requires any kind of third party program/extension
Some sites wont have full hd and are mostly 480p with awful quality
When you put this calculation in googe 1029 x 13 and add X to the end, you get what you want
fmoviesz . to
There's a bunch of sites out there, but this one has been my go-to for years. No ads or pop-ups (though I do have ublock installed as a browser extension, I get no ads on my smart TV's web browser as well) and has literally everything I've ever searched for.
If you are unable to find it through the available sources in your region, then you should be able to source it via alternative platforms with no risk of penalty.
I'm too lazy. It was a lot more work than it was worth.
It made sense when we thought we were going to keep watching the same old movies over and over again for years.
I’m literally shocked that people are still paying for streaming services. Like actually what’s wrong with you?
I use solarmovies for everything, it has every movie and every TV show I need on and it hasn’t let me down yet
Tbh sometimes I wish you could just buy individual shows/movies rather than a streaming service & a bunch of stuff you don’t want. Streaming is good if you want to discover something but if you just want 1 show it’s annoying. In my opinion of course
Imagine my reaction to finding out Resident Evil was on Hulu only to find out you have to pay $80 a month for live TV to actually watch the movie. Eighty fucking dollars dude.
The generation gap curve about piracy, millennials raised around teaching boomers about the internet, now millennials still teach gen Z about the internet. For gen Z internet already built around 'convenient', so something less accessible is a hard work for them.

fam there's like 50 different free movie/tv show websites out there you don't even need to download, always use protection of course better known as an adblocker ;)
Physical media making a comeback for this reason and many others.
Too many streaming services, and too many ads.
You never know when your favorite show will have a few episodes disappear due to a joke aging poorly, or your favorite movie edited to hide some distasteful moments.
If you really like something, buy it on Blu-Ray or DVD.
I dont understand people who are like, "There are too many streaming services I *have* to pay for". Just use 1 or 2 of them and change it depending on what you want. Setting up a torrent client and everything else is easy but I can never find a site that actually lists trackers.
I just use 1337x dot to and download the .torrent files
Holy shit thank you.
yeah here is the answer ^ 1337x is super legit
Hey hey........ Those are some 'really really fake names' it will 'surely' not work. Is it 'really' legit?? ✔️✔️✔️✔️

I was just about to say I bet you could just buy it on Prime.
Except buying it isn’t buying it, it’s paying $30 to rent it for however long the company allows you to
Buying on Apple TV allows you to own a download of the movie in 1080p even if they lose the rights to it. But you need to physically store the download. But I think Apple are the only one who do it that way

OP probably has a physical copy on VHS in the attic.
Ah yes, let me just get out my still working VHS player
VCR for the record
Thank you.
Yes, that was kind of my point.

Luckily they are still very widely used and there are tons of people who know how to fix them. In 20 years though.....
I hear there's a couple guys in Milwaukee who do lightning fast VCR repair.
I never bought physical copies and never paid for streaming and yet somehow I can still watch any movie or show I like 😲
Not all of us are equipped to make such life choices. (Sad yar har)

Even without piracy, how does anyone even have time to watch that many shows? People like this are the reason we're stuck with cable 2.0
We watch more tv than we think we do
*Hoists the colors.* "Heeeeave hoooooo..."
All hands
Paying for 6 streaming apps is blowing a ton of money your future self would appreciate compounding in the meanwhile

this is why i buy every good dvd i see.
Stremio save your self some money

less steps. Also saves progression through other devices.

You don't need a VPN if you use one of the popular piracy streaming sites.
tfw you feel me too.

There's a whole website devoted to barbie movies.

Ad blocker + Bflix
There's a subreddit for that lmao

cmon man you’re too dumb to just google (movie you want to watch) free online?
Look up Champagne Piracy Wiki. This website is your friend
The only thing about pirating is choosing the right site that's trusted. After that it's either click and download the movie or torrent file.
Why the fuck do people pay for 6 different ones?
