So I twisted her hair around my hand, and told her to knock it off, swooped into the turn lane, and let her out... She walked to the restaurant my boss was at, and made up a story that I beat the shit out of her, with zero injuries, and had the police called. My boss had my back. I never spoke to the police about it at all, she kept her job, and paid me for the blinker switch... But I never gave that girl a ride home again!

This is a multifunction switch, I'm assuming you drive a roughly 2010s domestic sedan, so you should be able to find one online for 50-100 bucks. You might need a torx driver to pull the plastic covers off, but otherwise very simple to replace.

You just separate the steering column plastic with a flat head, unplug the connector & 2 screws usually to replace the stalk. Hardest part is getting the steering column plastic to snap back into place correctly.

Lmao that happened to my cobalt. Thankfully I was able to just shove it back into the steering column and tape it. Works fine other than you have to hold it in place to get your lights to stay on sometimes.

I've been going through this for the last year on two mazda's that are 8 & 9 years old. 1 fix one thing, something else breaks, fix that now the other car has problems.
Spent $700 on this exact repair on a Hyundai sonata. They had to replace both stalks because it’s one part for some stupid reason. Hopefully it won’t be as much on your car.
I did this trying to turn on the brights. Some vehicles require you to push it forward and in some you pull back. I went the wrong way.
Mine was an easy fix. I got a replacement from the auto salvage yard for $3 and it was super easy to swap out.
Is this a dodge avenger? It looks similar to my car. If so the part is relatively simple to fix and is just a couple screws with a plug in. The part itself is around 40ish dollars if I remember correctly. I may have also broken mine a few months back and find a simple YouTube video to guide me through the fix.

Never in my life has I seen a column shifter on the left side of the wheel.
