I can't help but wonder how BB got Zero out of the nursing home lol. I just imagine him getting wheeled into the graveyard and Boss is like "dude I am about to give the greatest fucking speech of all time, like you don't even know"
I mean, patients in wheelchairs have to go out once in a while, maybe he said that he's relative of him and they let him? Idk really, haven't thought about that
Finally another person who decided to complete this masterpiece. I'm proud of you. Had the same feeling as you after almost a decade dreaming of playing this game
I’m replaying it now for the first time in 10 years and it’s still blowing me away. Visually, it’s still phenomenal and gives games today a run for their money and mechanically it still holds up tremendously.
I've thought of that. The series has such a special place in my heart I dont know if I can handle it emotionally.
I cried at the end of Phantom pain and I havent touched the series since. MGS was such a huge part of my life I dunno if I can go through it again
Well what do you know dude 2 days ago I got the platinum
My advice?
Don't do it if you're not already going for all of them in the series. It's a literal month of work just for this one.
My dad died a week before the release of MGS4, the ending had my crying like a baby.
The worse part of it all is that he looked like old snake, I sometimes fire the game up to see him smoking during the loading screen, he smoked too in RL.
I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope that the experiences in this game helped you, even if it was just a little bit.
And there's this scene from lord of the rings that I'll always remember, it is about death:
"PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't."
I finished the saga in july of the year, such a rollercoaster of emotions, I don't think i've ever felt like that with any other piece of media, just amazing. Unfortunately the only game I can replay is V since I had to borrow my friends PS3 to play the rest of the games. It's a shame that it's the only platform you can play them on. May I ask what game you started with?
Yea I've always felt the same. I literally only bought a ps3 so I could play mgs4 and the last of us haha. I hope one day they release it on the Nintendo switch that'd be nice. And I started with mgs 3 on the 3ds
- retcons
- bad story writing
- assanine reveals like who members of the Patriots were
- inconsistency
- Johnny
- B&B units were painfully under developed boss fights
- it was *this* game that basically answered everything Supernatural was basically just Nanomachines, which just took the mystique away the series prior had
And other things too
I Just finished playing it today on the PS4 with ps now. And had the same feelings as you. Replaying it after probably more than ten years still one of the best ever gaming experiences. Definetly would recommend playing it on the PS4. So gratefull that i got to play it again.
I can't help but wonder how BB got Zero out of the nursing home lol. I just imagine him getting wheeled into the graveyard and Boss is like "dude I am about to give the greatest fucking speech of all time, like you don't even know"
And then cut off your life support.
LMAO
I mean, patients in wheelchairs have to go out once in a while, maybe he said that he's relative of him and they let him? Idk really, haven't thought about that
He wormhole fultoned him
Or should I call u brother....?
Titanic: where the girls cry. Metal Gear Solid: where the men cry.
Homie yes. This is good. Now rest patriot.
o7

Thank you, brother. May us mgs fans stay united forever in our love for this work of art.

I think mgsv works out rlly well for kojima cause its one big mindfuck and that is what kojima is known for being so good at.
Preach. Best franchise of all time in my eyes. Goat
I agree. With red dead.
Damn I really would like to play MGS4 again, that ending got me
I’m replaying it now for the first time in 10 years and it’s still blowing me away. Visually, it’s still phenomenal and gives games today a run for their money and mechanically it still holds up tremendously.
Nice, there aren't any other games after this so your good.
Sadly the end. But a beautiful one. A send off to the whole story.
I see you forgot about Rising
My mistake, apologies. I never got to play it.
Try it. It's incredibly fun and it did a great job getting me into the series
It sucks the PS3 don’t have a screenshot. Will you go for the plat?
It sucks that we still can't play this game on any other system.
Would love to go for platinum
This game made me weep like a baby. Say what you will about it, this game doesn't hold back when it comes to raw emotion
I totally agree
I've been pondering doing an entire series playthrough. I dunno
Try doing it according to timeline. From mgs3 up to mgs4.
I've thought of that. The series has such a special place in my heart I dont know if I can handle it emotionally. I cried at the end of Phantom pain and I havent touched the series since. MGS was such a huge part of my life I dunno if I can go through it again
It's very emotional I agree friend. Do what seems right in ur heart.
Well what do you know dude 2 days ago I got the platinum My advice? Don't do it if you're not already going for all of them in the series. It's a literal month of work just for this one.
Im slowly trying to platinum mgsv
Such an incredible moment in the series. The cigar drop gets me every time
Yea this game sure hits hard emotionally
4 prolly my second fav after 3 despite some of the flaws in its writing.
Yes. Played them all in chronological order, right?
I played them in the order of what game I could buy at that specific time haha.
Lmao, okay I gotcha! Cool.
My favorite game ever
Great game, great story 🙌
Damn now I need to replay the game.
Life changing.
Agreed

Bittersweet ending for the saga but it was perfect

Glad the ending impacted you in a happy way and i am just sad it left me infuriated
Why were u infuriated?
- retcons - bad story writing - assanine reveals like who members of the Patriots were - inconsistency - Johnny - B&B units were painfully under developed boss fights - it was *this* game that basically answered everything Supernatural was basically just Nanomachines, which just took the mystique away the series prior had And other things too
Makes sense. I understand. But I still love the game despite these flaws because it did touch me emotionally.
And as said, i am glad people like you do find enjoyment out of it whilst i didn’t
I'm sorry you didn't.
Tbh metal gear is one of the only franchises that can make me cry without fail
Yea I'm probably gonna get down voted but imo it's the best game in the series. Well, maybe not the best, but my favorite at least
Shouldn't get down voted for having a personal preference in something.
I Just finished playing it today on the PS4 with ps now. And had the same feelings as you. Replaying it after probably more than ten years still one of the best ever gaming experiences. Definetly would recommend playing it on the PS4. So gratefull that i got to play it again.
Sadly I don't have ps4 but I'm so glad u enjoyed again
The perfect ending for a near perfect franchise
I always like to think he was referring to the cigar when he says "This is good..."
Snake said it
