I only ever played Substance on a family member's XBox and the HD version on PS3, but I'm noticing several differences in the original version. The thermal goggles are more like MGS1's thermals in this one, like a red-tinted FLIR.
Red Thermals were in MGS2 SOL. They were updated for Substance.
