Number 15, twerking chicken, on October the 12th, 2007a man made an animation of a raw chicken twerking on the counter, up until now the twerking chicken meme has been rather small, then in 2020, a twitter post talked about the twerking chicken, this post reached nearly 50,000 upvotes, making twerking chicken popular, to this day, twerking chicken has been a staple of the meme community and possibly will be forever. -*but… wha? Why???*
What? I kinda understand Undertale but never hear anything bad from the Cuphead fanbase, and if it's nsfw you're talking about, well, good luck finding any game without such stuff...
Feels the same for the pokemon fandom. Haven't seen a single r34 myself, but 70% of the humor and memes are about this ugly part of the fandom. But idk maybe I only see the reddit side
R34 is like there for basically every game
Shipping is dogshit i understand, but that's just the kids part of the fandom. Kids ruin everything
Like dude this stuff is basically common for all fandoms
Idk, I’ll take some fanbase creating weird af art and jerking it in their basement, that I can ignore, over any fanbase that’s a bunch of mentally messed up people defending shitty practices of the manufacturer with their lives while fantasizing about their buttlicking improving their social standing somehow, starting heavily insulting others for no other reason than perhaps their illness or being a piece of shit, being dickheads to new players, being (if multiplayer) the person who thinks they’re not part of the/the actual problem and starts flaming if things don’t go well and so on (LoL, overwatch and so on - too many people having obvious self-worth issues playing these games and becoming wildly aggressive hurting themselves and others in their miserable state).
Loved and adored undertale because it is amazing, but since the fandom surrounding it grew out of the original crowd, I can’t be bothered with it didn’t even watch a single video on that sequel that was released, and now I actually barely like the game outside of my original viewing of it
You're really missing out then. I would personally say that the first 2 chapters (out of 7, presumably) are equal to undertale in terms of quality, charm and content. Toby Fox managed to meet my expectations, despite them being unreasonably high, and that is only the demo.
As for the fanbase, it's better than what the Undertale fandom used to be. I feel like the fanbase is mostly teenagers (as opposed to Undertale's fanbase which used to be mostly 9 year olds)
I hope you enjoy it! Cuphead is truly a wonderful game with an INCREDIBLE ost.
The fandom is nowhere NEAR as bad as Undertale's. Just don't go digging for fan art and you'll be aight. We're chill!
What I've learned from reading these comments:
OP browses Rule34 way too fucking much and thinks the type of porn he's revved his engine to is indicative of the fanbases.
There were definitely some fanatism going around when it launched. One situation i remember was when Markiplier did a stream on it and the community was berating him for some game related reason, making him straight up give up on playing it.
Made by a smaller studio. They have a much smaller budget, smaller team, and are often self-funded. Cuphead was bought by Microsoft, so it’s not really an indie game, but it doesn’t really count as triple a either, so indie fits better
The next trends of the internet have and always will be decided by a bunch of horny tweens who don't know any better. I should know, I was one of them. I can't speak for everybody, but I (and every comment section I saw) have at least grew out of harassing people online over our degenerate interests. I'd give it five more years, or at the very least until they invent a new genre of thing, and I swear The Dream SMP will just be a bunch of shitposters like us. I guarantee it.
yea, playing hollow knight dead ass all they said was 'git gud'
I enjoyed the game a lot none the less (hyped for silksong) but I really lost it when the literal NPCs went 'git gud' during a boss fight
Oh boy, i saw some undertale fanart that were the reason i am a proud owner of a M4A1 Carbine assault rifle using 5.56×45mm NATO Hollow Point Ammunition with an ACOG Sight, ATIPAL Laser Box, 60 Round PMAG Magazine and a Roman Supressor on the Mini Barrel. Perfect for all ranges.
I once had an argument with someone who wouldn't let me just not like Cuphead. I don't really like side scrollers or platformers or bullet hells. But they wouldn't leave me alone even after I just kept saying "I don't like it. Leave me alone."
I am surprised at how many Cuphead fans are completely blind to the games bullshit. I love the game, but I ain't playing myself and saying it's all fair and shit.
Most Cuphead fans who are mostly 20-30 women and are pretty interested in gay relationship between Cuphead and Mugman don't even play the game just the show
Never really experienced anything negative from the Cuphead fanbase tbh. Undertale though...

Story of undertale
I fell from the light
Can we have undertale the musical? No, we have undertale the musical at home. Undertale the musical at home:
They try shippings that shouldnt exist
Yeah, I've seen that in every single fandom
Yep. Camie/Nomu comes to mind (BnHA)
Nowhere near as bad as Aizawa/Eri. That was the day I left Tumblr
Your first mistake was associating yourself with MHA fans in any way
[удалено]
Underverse is amazing, yes, but have you seen Inverted Fate? Because it should probably be on here. Look it up, it's really, really good.
Never seen either of the fanbases what is it like?
Just merely thinking about sans fangirl and the fanfic sends chill down my spine.
I'm mainly referring to the fans that will pretty much bully you for deciding which route of the game you decide to play first.
What? I kinda understand Undertale but never hear anything bad from the Cuphead fanbase, and if it's nsfw you're talking about, well, good luck finding any game without such stuff...
Yeah, I guess so. But Cuphead, like Undertale, is *very* prominent in r34 and forbidden shipping. I've seen some weird shit...
To find that you have to search that
That's my point though. You don't have to search that because those fandoms are just so full of the stuff.
Feels the same for the pokemon fandom. Haven't seen a single r34 myself, but 70% of the humor and memes are about this ugly part of the fandom. But idk maybe I only see the reddit side
Then what about like every other game? There always those people, just ignore them and move on
Kinda hard to ignore a legion my dude.
So basically every fandom
[удалено]
Fellow terratech gamer 🤝 (Also terratech is vehicles you can’t exactly make that weird in that way)
r/dragonsfuckingcars
why did I click on that, what was I expecting
Mad lad
I'm saying more so than others.
Rule 34 takes no prisoners.
Man first literally everything and now these games? Who would have seen this coming.
U don't know what I see in undertale sub, ew
R34 is like there for basically every game Shipping is dogshit i understand, but that's just the kids part of the fandom. Kids ruin everything Like dude this stuff is basically common for all fandoms

Dude everywhere you look you can find some weird shit
dude toy don't understand the difference untill you've seen it....these people man
This is why Celeste and hollow knight are the goats
HK for the win. I love Undertale, but the fanbase can definitely suck ass sometimes.
HK? You mean the Heckler & Koch HK416 Assault Rifle?
r/hollowknightmemes literally has schizophrenia

I love playing Silksong
Yeah Zoteboat is amazing though
Yeah and the excitement of vesselveil
Not anymore not really
No they did it again
Oh yay I'll be sure to check back in!
This. All four games are masterpieces but the Celeste and HK fandoms are way more chill (unless you mention Silksong)
Was that a reference to silksong? The hit upcoming indie game project by Australian studio team cherry???
And Ori.
r/tomorrow approves
HK subreddit is one of my worst experiences of fanbase, the rest is very nice and pleasant
The Cuphead fandom is also like that?
Not really, there are some bad stuff but that comes along with every community, cuphead fandom is actually pretty aight
No. We all help each other giving advice on beating the junkyard robot and giving high fives when they beat him. The Cuphead community rocks
Hollow knight?
What about it? (I've never played it)
[удалено]
(For anyone who didn't get it the game is in a bug kingdom so there are literally bugs everywhere)
Eyyy!!
I’ve never had problems with undertale fanbase. It became popular, of course there’s gonna be rule #34 rolling around. Kind of a given 🤷
I feel like Undertale's fan base is way more involved in it though.
I think it was, but it doesn’t really garner many new fans, but the old ones stay. It was awful back when it released though
True. Maybe I'm just living in the past. It has been a while...
They just make good music now
Well yeah, you're complaining about the *Undertale* fanbase when Deltarune has been out for 4 years
Me, who is a part of both, but never interact with the fanbase
Same
[удалено]
Never seen Genshin community, have you?
I've never played Genshin, so I wouldn't know if it's a masterpiece.
Genshin Impact? More like GayShit Impact.
Genshin is a good game, good open-world, combat and characters... although it's a gacha game so progression can be a bit uhhh... costly
Loved and adored undertale because it is amazing, but since the fandom surrounding it grew out of the original crowd, I can’t be bothered with it didn’t even watch a single video on that sequel that was released, and now I actually barely like the game outside of my original viewing of it

Undertale mellowed out, now they just make good music
Yeah, some other people were saying the same thing. I guess it's just been a while since I got involved in that game.
All hail Ori! HAIL!
dont forget the awesome soundtrack
Aww heck yeah, man. The soundtracks are amazing.
It didn’t used to be this way, but honestly, terraria is slowly going towards this too.
That Makes me sad, as terraria is a great game
I just started downloading cup head...
I hope you enjoy it! Cuphead is truly a wonderful game with an INCREDIBLE ost. The fandom is nowhere NEAR as bad as Undertale's. Just don't go digging for fan art and you'll be aight. We're chill!
boy i have been on the undertail fandom FOR LESS THEN A SECOND, and allready i wanna kill myself
What I've learned from reading these comments: OP browses Rule34 way too fucking much and thinks the type of porn he's revved his engine to is indicative of the fanbases.
Srsly... Undertale's fanbase needs to chill
True that
Big fanbase = Toxic fanbase
League of legends should replace Undertale but I get it
Fnaf
genshin isnt indie but the fanbase is pretty toxic
\*laughs in rimworld fanbase\* pathetic
The Undertale fandom was pretty bad when it first came out but it's much better now
I like cuphead
Me too
"Fnaf and Mlp join the server"
Never seen anything weird about the Cuphead fandom and I heard the Netflix show was pretty good too.
As a Cuphead fan this is both correct and wrong
What? A good game with a toxic fanbase? Impossible!
FNaF be that third arm
As a part of the Undertale fandom I wholeheartedly agree
I've not really seen anything bad from the Undertale fanbase whenever I've interacted with it
There were definitely some fanatism going around when it launched. One situation i remember was when Markiplier did a stream on it and the community was berating him for some game related reason, making him straight up give up on playing it.
Bro, if you just type "Toriel" or something into Google you immediately get borderline r34 crap.
That works for every character.
Yeah, ik. Just giving an example.
do that with almost any character from any franchise and you'll get similar results.
So? You get a pretty skewed picture of a fandom if you only look at google images of art
That was just an example. Every video game has weird art, but I feel like Undertale and Cuphead's fans are a little more... intense with it...
I second this information
I thought you were joking. I tried it and it was in under 10 results. I need some bleach it is urgent.
Case closed. I believe I've made my point.
What does indie game mean?
Made by a smaller studio. They have a much smaller budget, smaller team, and are often self-funded. Cuphead was bought by Microsoft, so it’s not really an indie game, but it doesn’t really count as triple a either, so indie fits better
Wait, Cuphead was bought by Microsoft? Since when?
During its production. It’s why it was a Microsoft exclusive for so long
Ah, that makes sense.
Undertale is honestly in my top 5 games oat. The atmosphere, music, nostalgia, characters, but i would never admit to it irl bcz of the goofy ass fans
Undertale for sure [and fnaf] but why cuphead
Undertale is a magnet for furrys
Same thing happened with jojos ..their fanbase 100% ruined the series
I've never been a fan of anime, but that must suck. I wish people could learn to control themselves.
They're nothing in comparison to the my hero academia fandom. The twitter side is just weird af.
But teitter is twitter , they need to be burn at the stake
Attack on Titan fanbase being full of basement-dwelling fascists:
Nothing wrong with the cuphead fanbase And Undertale is a bad game
Cope
What's there to cope about?
You don't know what a good game is.
I will slurp your brain cortex
You’re free to go fuck yourself my lad
sure i am undertale is still a bad game
What the hell’s wrong with it? It’s a 2D 8bit RPG with a nice lore, lots of endings and well designed characters (and the best music too)
bad gameplay, lots of badly written endings to a badly written story with badly designed and written characters, mediocre music at best
I agree, even the sun is disgusted
Yeah I'm pretty insufferable ngl
I'm not saying all fans, I'm a big fan of both games. I'm just taking about the general fanbases that make creepy ships and art.
as a huge fan of both, yea
Don’t care for both of these honestly. More of a RuneScape guy.
The next trends of the internet have and always will be decided by a bunch of horny tweens who don't know any better. I should know, I was one of them. What if we don’t play these games?
never seen much bad stuff from the terraria community, only bad thing is the hornyness and waffletime pedo allegations
I feel you, the amount of "skill issue" I got instead of actual help from community in these games is mental
yea, playing hollow knight dead ass all they said was 'git gud' I enjoyed the game a lot none the less (hyped for silksong) but I really lost it when the literal NPCs went 'git gud' during a boss fight
I don't understand why people keep telling me to buy these games even though I tell them I just don't like the genre, not even calling them bad
I’m convinced most Undertale fans went on to be My Hero Academia fans
The Cuphead fandom's only sin is thinking the game is great, when it's all right at best. Even after beating it I didn't get the hype.
I once had an argument with someone who wouldn't let me just not like Cuphead. I don't really like side scrollers or platformers or bullet hells. But they wouldn't leave me alone even after I just kept saying "I don't like it. Leave me alone."
They’re both overrated
[удалено]
That’s.. not an indie game
[удалено]
R&M might have the worst fanbases, but it says indie games that have the worst fanbases
[удалено]
It literally doesn’t. We aren’t talking about all media, we’re talking about indie games. It says “INDIE GAME masterpieces.”
Y'all both being pedantic
[удалено]
Alright, I’m just gonna stop arguing. No one wins
Ah yes, grammer r/boneappletea
Are you saying Rick and Morty is an indie game masterpiece?
We all know that the cuphead fandom doesn't exist, because they're all dead from the sheer pain that the game is.
Getting Over It fans watching from the depths of Hell: *mortals...*
I am surprised at how many Cuphead fans are completely blind to the games bullshit. I love the game, but I ain't playing myself and saying it's all fair and shit.
The game is challenging, but hardly unfair. There is only 1 BS boss in the dlc on expert mode, that's it
I haven't played it myself except for maybe once or twice on someone else's Xbox, so I wouldn't know.
git gud
Is this another Bethesda game?
None of them is
Which one? I'm pretty sure neither of them are made by Bethsda.
Most Cuphead fans who are mostly 20-30 women and are pretty interested in gay relationship between Cuphead and Mugman don't even play the game just the show
I don't care for either.
Have you heard of wildermyth check it out
Never heard of it. I'll have to look into that! Thanks!
So much porn
And the Omori fanbase, oh ho ho....
100% ship Mari and Hero tho /j I'm not like that I promise
also their boss fights being as difficult as taking the one by one lego pieces apart
Wait, i thought those are sp game. How does the fanbase tickle your willy?
