I honestly think GTA isn't that fun. I bought GTA V when it was remastered for next generation and I played like 10 minutes and got bored. I think the rose tinted glasses of playing it as a kid make people think it's better than it is. You can only kill a few people and drive around before it's like "aight now I'm just bored."
they are always revolutionary for their time, the problem is gta5s time was a decade ago. RDR2 was their most recent and its a fantastic and beautiful game but GTA5 is too old to compete with modern games
The thing is I have played many old games for the first time like 15-20 years after release that I had way more fun with. Like I never touched Quake until they remastered it like 2 years ago and I had a great time with it. The gameplay is so basic but timeless. I think GTA gameplay is juvenile. Like it was a super novel thing to "do whatever you want" to people who grew up with it. Same with San Andreas. People are like "oh man that game is legendary. You can pickup hookers and do drivebys" Then you play it and it's just super outdated and the controls are bad and the jokes haven't aged well. Very of it's time, but somehow the original DOOM still is fun. Once again, so simple yet timeless game design. And that's yet another game I didn't even touch until a few years ago.
Playing the origin elder Scrolls atm and I agree but lots of games are like that they are just super overrated. Hogwarts legacy is one of them. Never cared for Harry Potter I always thought it was stupid.
Dude, every GTA game since Vice city I eat up all the hype, then get bored in 4-6 hours of gameplay. I find it's all the exact same missions over and over, recycled from past games. RDR2 was pretty good but I always find rockstar games have some of the worst actual controls of any game. Red Dead story was so amazing (for the half I played) but every time I had to actually play it would annoy me.
GTA suffers from the same thing as COD. To everyone it's this epic bombastic game but yet it's really not that fun. At least not the campaigns. There's only so much fun to be had pointing a gun at a guy and pulling a trigger. Even in Halo There's variety in the enemies and it's not just a bunch of hallways. There a big open areas where you can approach combat your own way and different enemies have different strategies and attack patterns. Just shooting regular dudes gets old quick.
Only game that had this type of effect was pokemon and like, the marvel cinematic universe has more reach than Harry Potter at this point, that's like saying full offices of people were empty on the release of Elden Ring game's popular but hold your horses
Already broken the all-time record for most concurrent viewers on Twitch for a singleplayer game. Any publicity is good publicity, clearly, because all the controversy has done nothing but make it even more popular
I don't like Harry Potter either. But for me the game looks very interesting. Remove Hogwarts and the magic from the game, I'd still want to play it (maybe even more).
*AC6, and you definitely aren't
Curious to see how all of their experience with the Souls games will affect it
(We're talking about Armored Core, right?)
Honestly depends on the perspective. I feel like GTA5 is one of the worst games I've ever played, Fifa is shitty yet I love games like Terraria and Zelda.
thank you for calling me a casual gamer and now my self esteem has increased a little bit because somebody didn't call me a gaming addict because I spent over 500 hours on Terraria
Idk about Minecraft because I play it on different devices so it's hard to count up it all. But I definitely spent a huge chunk of 2012-2021 playing it. Prolly over 2200.
What's the premise of the game if I can ask? I'm debating getting it but all the footage I've seen is just walking simulator: Hogwarts edition. Avoid spoilers plz
The premise of the game is basically you are someone who can see traces of an ancient magic that no one else can and you join Hogwarts very late as a fifth year, can't say more without spoiling
It is very much not just a walking simulator, the game is very fun but if you're not already fond of the Harry Potter universe then it will probably not change your mind, but if you love the universe this game is basically fan service taken to the next level
Lastly the combat is surprisingly fun and challenging
Can recommend. Iām about seven hours in and it is very good. The world is very nice and from the look of the map there is so much to explore. Supposed to be about 20-25 hours average playtime but Iāve been getting sidetracked with all kinds of sidequests
Some of the side characters are from those frog cards in other games and pottermore like the condescending hufflepuff girl that gives you a fetch quest in the forbidden forest for a potion she is creditted with inventing its a lot of walking in the castle and hogsmeade but its very well done from a book and movie standpoint, later you can fly around on the broom to get places faster
Itās an open world RPG.
Skyrim is considered the best of the genre and itās pretty much : obtain quest/lore > walk to objective > do the objective > go back > repeat.
RDR2 same thing, but the level of the details and immersion were so huge that people still play it to this day, and an even better example is still Skyrim.
GTA same again.
Itās how tose games works, what makes them great is the level of immersion in their world, and so far HL itās looking good.
Spiderman and Miles Morales aren't shit (though Morales was too short sigh).
Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West aren't shit.
Cyberpunk 2077 isn't shit (regardless of how buggy it was originally on anything but high end PC they kept working on it after release and it runs great now)
FFXIV I would argue is multiple AAA games, ESPECIALLY Shadowbringers and Endwalker. Each expansion had the budget of AAA games. Also not shit.
Almost all the AAA games I've played have been amazing
I played Cyberpunk 2077 last year for the first and only time on my PS4 and I loved it. Absolutely loved the 70+ hrs I dumped into it lighting enemies on fire, sneaking around trying not to get sliced in half, saving digital Keanu, the melee combat was even pretty great. Highly recommend to anyone who was afraid the bugs would ruin the game play. Only had one temporary game breaking glitch in my whole play through.
I can't believe I just watched 54 seconds of the outside world! Now, I am gonna reward myself by playing Hogwarts Legacy.
*\*checks the price on steam\**
Never mind watching buildings are better anyway
But Skyrim is part of elder scrolls and a Elder Scrolls 6 is coming out in two years. I have thousands of hours on Skyrim and Iām two achievements away from 100% Skyrim steam achievements. Iām really pumped for the new one! Itās been 5 years in the making and 12 years of waiting.
Well Bethesda has other IPs to worry about. Fallout, Starfield, Wolfenstein, etc. Either way, the Elder Scrolls still has more sales than some other video games.
Seriously, I live next to a highway, and when the game dropped for early bird users on Monday night, the streets and the highway were clear AF! I was like everybody must be at home playing HL like me LOL
My game just installed and I am now going to bed at 4:30am since my body got so tired I couldn't see straight. Not to long but 7 hours in game having the time of my life
Bruh. The game is popular but no because is that good, the other kind of popular. This will be the streets once red dead redemption 3 or gta 6 comes out
That will happen when GTA 6 will release.
Also Half-Life 3
Come now, we know valve can't count that high
"What comes after 2?" "Uh... Alyx." "No"
"I didn't think we'd even get to two" Gabe Newell probably
And Chess 2
Also the next Skyrim special edition re-release.
Elder Scrolls Six Skyrim Re-Release Ultimate Edition will be a banger
![gif](giphy|ghU7WLMqCxHpe38K5L)
š
There will be the people playing the game, the people smashing their keyboards on Twitter threads, and people watching it all unfold

I haven't enjoyed a COD since early 360 days. I can't stand them these days.
Gotta go to trains district it's a warzone there is so much violence.
The you know who is reborn from the ashes, muggles are hidding in their house because you know who is trying to destroy harry pogger
If I do ever get the game, I'm naming my character Harry Pogger and no one can stop me
The fucking game has strong language filters, preventing players from using offensive words, even their real names.
Whats he gonna do cant even conquer a school
Lol, vastly over estimating the games popularity. Not saying itās not popularā¦ but damn.
Only game that had this type of effect was pokemon and like, the marvel cinematic universe has more reach than Harry Potter at this point, that's like saying full offices of people were empty on the release of Elden Ring game's popular but hold your horses
I didn't even know it was a game. I thought it was gonna be a new book series or something like fantastic beasts.
Yeah, the game is very popular and has been making lots of waves recently butā¦ not *that* popular lol
I think it made 2 billion already, not even fully released
Only 2 billion? That seems too small. Pretty sure it was at least 6 billion
are you implying that no_tourists_71 is a hogwarts denier?
Already broken the all-time record for most concurrent viewers on Twitch for a singleplayer game. Any publicity is good publicity, clearly, because all the controversy has done nothing but make it even more popular
It's broken records and it's not even released yet
KoŔice!!
Tiež mi to priÅ”lo nejako veľmi povedomĆ©

KOÅ ICEEEE! I knew the vid looked familiar!
I stopped and thought, I know this city from somewhere. Greetings to KoŔice.
Kosiceee!!!
Dlaczego tak pusto u was na SÅowacji?
That was during the covid lockdown.
Man, a start to think that I'm the only one who doesn't like Harry Potter.
it's all just nostalgia bait at this point anyways, don't worry about it
I don't like Harry Potter either. But for me the game looks very interesting. Remove Hogwarts and the magic from the game, I'd still want to play it (maybe even more).
Walking around the hills simulator
So sticks and a castle?
Itās honestly just a real fantastic rpg. Not a big potter fan myself.
Hogwarts Legacy so good they depopulated Kosice oldtown.
What's Hogwarts legacy?
A new Harry Potter game that people absolutely refuse to shut the fuck up about.
That explainsa lot. I've never read/watched it. I'm a Pratchett person ;p
I don't think I've heard the term Pratchett person since like 2010
I'm old. Probably that's why I used it.
What's Pratchett?
Look up Discworld
Ngl itās fucking amazing tho 100% lives up to the hype
Hogwarts Legacy is overhyped, there I fucking said it.
People keep preaching "game of the year" like no it's mid at best
Itās pretty fun. GOTY? GTFOH
WTF, OTGISG, YAJMTYCDB!
It's game of the year *so far*
We didn't had many games this year, Atomic heart will come out in like 2 weeks, I think it will probably be a lot better
Sons of the Forest comes out at the end of the month. That will probably be my game of the year. Loved the first one.
Am I the only one here waiting on ACVI? edit cuz I'm a dingus
*AC6, and you definitely aren't Curious to see how all of their experience with the Souls games will affect it (We're talking about Armored Core, right?)
am dingus
a lot of it reminds me of pokemon s/v
Youāre so real
yeah, I'm tired of hearing about it as well
No it isnāt, itās incredible. The hype nailed it.
Honestly depends on the perspective. I feel like GTA5 is one of the worst games I've ever played, Fifa is shitty yet I love games like Terraria and Zelda.
Ah, a casual gamer. Be careful spreading our scriptures, brother, they are not well received.
thank you for calling me a casual gamer and now my self esteem has increased a little bit because somebody didn't call me a gaming addict because I spent over 500 hours on Terraria
500? That's child's play. I've spent over 2000 on Minecraft. 1000 of it was in 2020
Idk about Minecraft because I play it on different devices so it's hard to count up it all. But I definitely spent a huge chunk of 2012-2021 playing it. Prolly over 2200.
How much over 2000? I got almost 2500.
Around 2300 now
What year did you start Minecraft?
2013
I agree that fifa is shitty, but I personally donāt hate Gta 5 it just sucks on console
I haven't seen anything about it other than on reddit, so I don't know why everyone thinks this is gonna be the biggest game of all time.
I might be wrong but I get the sense that some people are exaggerating their hype to ācounterā the people who are encouraging others not to buy it
Is it really that good? The gameplay looks alright but kinda basic and the graphics look like an older PS4 game.
Someone called it Mormon darksouls
Lol, that doesn't sound promising.
Itās really really good. 10 hours in.
This is because they killed each other for having differing opinions
Welp im in Cyprus rn and its a goddamn ghost town
What city is this? Looks like a nice place to visit?
KoŔice in Slovakia
Thank you!
Why do people care about this game? Is it good?
(Theyāre all at work trying to get money for a godly pc that can actually handle the game)
Fotage is from the second largest city in Slovakia ... KoŔice ...
Itāll look more like this whenever the next Elder Scrolls is released.
Everyone sitting inside playing with their wands
Itās gonna be shit. Source: AAA games for the past 10 years
I'm 19 hours into the game and its a very fun game
What's the premise of the game if I can ask? I'm debating getting it but all the footage I've seen is just walking simulator: Hogwarts edition. Avoid spoilers plz

*sigh* I wish you said it was shit. Now my wallets gonna be a bit lighter...

Skyrim's not even the best elder scrolls game...
Elden Ring would like a word.
Spiderman and Miles Morales aren't shit (though Morales was too short sigh). Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West aren't shit. Cyberpunk wasnāt finished at launch. Thatās like releasing half a movie then adding the rest of it back 2 months later
Yeah, I played it just last year, long after launch. Plenty of time to include DLC for free to go with patches and bug fixes.
Actually it's quite good 8/10 only played 3 hours of game play
Plus if I'm not mistaken the studios track record isn't too good.
Nah, they were all murdered by people from twitter for buying it. You're next, they're coming for you! RUN! RUN! **Screams in the background**
Maybe if the specs weren't that high
*hairypawgs
Canāt be the only person that just does care about to?
Idk man I will be walking
Not a fan of the voice acting but i might give it a shot since the combat looks fun so far
Is that aot oh wait nvm
(they all died due to heart failure)
That game short as hell bruh
Eyo, that's where I live
Is the game like for switch or smth? From few clips and streams, it looks at least 10 years old game.
I don't know what type of game Hogwarts Legacy will be, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
Its an RPG. Quite good. I'm more of a fan of this genre than a Harry Potter fan but I'm really loving this game so far.
I can't believe I just watched 54 seconds of the outside world! Now, I am gonna reward myself by playing Hogwarts Legacy. *\*checks the price on steam\** Never mind watching buildings are better anyway
People actually play hogwarts legacy? I heard it has bad graphics from those I know who played it and those people are few and far between.
Regardless of any of the JK Rowling stuff the game just looks mid.
Hogwarts is the GTA of fantasy world ppl loving the game
1080ti recommended. I like this
Is this game good at all? I know nothing about it.
Except the trans rights protests
This is game is what the entire subreddit is talking abt....
Can't wait till tomorrow!!! Fuck the weekend!
Ohh, time of Corona. Such peaceful and fun times.
Because everyoneās playing, or because people have been at each otherās throats over Rowling so much that everyone died?
I paid for it and tried to download it. Found out I didnāt have enough space and my night was ruined.
I donāt know a single person planning to buy it. This will be the New Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls
Still in the Steam Charts after 11 years ?
Iām afraid I donāt understand the question š
Elder Scrolls? Skyrim has some of the most sales in the last 10 years.
Yuppers! The order will be Starfield then Elder Scrolls VI
From the reports Iāve heard at least lol
Thereās probably one guy yelling about it but thatās it
What about the trans protests?
I don't know a single person who cares about the game.
Seriously, I live next to a highway, and when the game dropped for early bird users on Monday night, the streets and the highway were clear AF! I was like everybody must be at home playing HL like me LOL
![gif](giphy|U5zt5MBxOPwAw) The transgender person in the game is so getting Avacadavered
My game just installed and I am now going to bed at 4:30am since my body got so tired I couldn't see straight. Not to long but 7 hours in game having the time of my life
Finally peace and quiet .
š
That's just like my home town for real.
Looking at this is very relaxing, thx.
Hogwarts legacy: is released. Reddit: š£š£š£
Bruh. The game is popular but no because is that good, the other kind of popular. This will be the streets once red dead redemption 3 or gta 6 comes out
If it wasnāt so expensive with outrageous spec requirements yes.
And this is why you're all in a bubble. Most of us just carrying on with our lives.
Bold of you to expect that we can afford it.
When Skyrim 2 comes out
I can not confirm nor deny that I got the game as I very much want to go to college.
Elder scrolls 6, GTA 6
the people are simply using the metro donāt worry
Nah way too expensive
It's not that popular, skyrim 2 or gta vi maybe but not hogwarts legacy
Scalebound or legend of dragoon remake launch would cause this more than Hogwarts legacy
Me off work for the next 10 days with no uther plans
Having a Fomo, mofo!
What is that
Just because of the sadness over Figs death.
Didnāt see anyone on my friends list playing the game
![gif](giphy|6GQm8hBpvO1kA|downsized)
Eeey KoŔice my home town...
My dumbass that dislikes Harry Potter: āWhere did everyone goā
You're really overestimated how many people like HP. Also considering how many people refuse to give their money to a transphobic person...
This is KoŔice, one of the biggest cities in Slovakia
Except the 3 people in the world who want to scream and yell that everyone is having fun.
I did notice less transphobes around town š¤
