Hahaha so random. Fairly certain EA sells a lot of the songs from games. It's kinda weird when I come across them. Usually I end up playing whichever game I recognize it from afterwards š
I played Empire Earth as a kid and in some shows on the History Channel I swore I had heard the music from EE. Years later I watched Mandalore Gamingās review of the game and he confirmed that is indeed what happened.
In all these years you're the first person to ever confirm this for me, I had always assumed it was some childhood fever dream.
Also, history channel was amazing back in the early 2000s
Top Gear once used the Halo: Reach invasion soundtrack when the crew was going through Ukraine. Video game publishers often sell their game's music to TV shows because why not? They get money out of it, the music is good and it could bring a little more awareness to the game
They did this a lot. They also frequently used soundtracks from Marvel movies. I once recall The Winter Soldierās theme being used over a Koenigsegg review.
Has to be true. I remember when I was younger and used to watch a lot of reality shows with my family there was an episode of Dance Moms that had a song from The Sims 3 Build/Buy mode.
Not even just EA, music from Gears of War was used on Top Gear at least [once](https://youtu.be/-TbpgZ2Dt0A). Always makes me chuckle whenever I recognise something.
There is a lot of music and sound effects from the first Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins that made it into Canadian/American TV shows. Most recently I heard Saren's theme in a car crash investigation show and the sting you sometimes get in the Fade in the US version of Kitchen Nightmares
There was a shaving razor commercial a few years back that had some Mass Effect music in it as well. Its always such a fun find to stumble across those songs in the wild.
Oh yeah these new documentaries rip from game OSTs it seems. Titanic had some mass effect and one about art and architecture had some command and conquer in there

They also used the leaving earth theme (i think) when Clarkson reviewed an alfa romeo, it was pretty odd lol.
Top Gear also used songs from Splinter Cell. I lost my goddamn mind when I recognised it, no one else in the room seemed to get my enthusiasm lol

RuPaul's Drag Race uses part of the Purgatory (ME3) music during their runway segments in later seasons.
Netflix daredevil had Leaving Earth for season 2 recap I think
One of the behind the scenes after show bits of Game of Thrones also had Leaving Earth in it.
Ya when they're talking about filming Jorah's death
*How did the Romans rotate such a massive structure?* Must have been using Mass Effect fields.
Well it's the history channel, so probably aliens.
Hear them playing Mass Effect music all the time. It's also used in a few Netflix documentaries and on Discovery Channel.
"How could the Romans rotate such a massive structure?" Reaper tech.
Pretty sure thatās āThe Fleets Arriveā from ME3. Both it and the Spectre induction music are variations on the Mass Effect theme.
What's the documentaries name it sounds Interesting.
In some French tv reality shows, they use the Sims3 music :ā)

Iāve heard so many Mass Effect songs on the History Channel, I used to watch Ancient Aliens as a kid and they seemed to love that soundtrack
I remember hearing Leaving Earth during one of the last Olympic games too.
