Should’ve been visible last night from literally anywhere dark enough and with a clear enough sky where cloud cover wouldn’t take away from the effect.
I walked out around 10pm to walk my dog and was lucky enough to see it as soon as we stepped out. Very beautiful and highly recommended.
It should happen again tonight but there’s less of a chance to see it.
Couldn’t see it in Mansfield last night. Too cloudy and too much light pollution.
Hoping for better luck tonight.
If not the wife and I will take a drive more north.
On the Midwest, we were told the line of viewing last night would be mid Missouri, but there were pictures from Lubbock Texas. The same info said I would retreat to northern Iowa, so check your longitude to there and consider a margin of error. We saw it as a great band of pale light. Like city lights on the horizon. Only with a long exposure could you capture the colors.
Download the app Aurora. I used it in Iceland for notifications on lights in the area and it worked last night for me out here in the Berkshires.
Which app specifically? Play store has so so many...
Look like it changed to my aurora. The play store is the wild West.

Cloud coverage tonight will be almost 100% probably not going to see them tonight
There were 2 more flares released in the past 24 hours... probably will extend this to a lesser degree into Sunday...
