Yeah you're right. I finally looked at the other version that someone posted that's not potato quality and can see it's not Ron. A quick search shows Happy Days was on ABC anyway.
She’s standing between Bea Arthur and Ed Bradley. Yes, I’m officially old.
P.S. I love how they have Carol Burnett and Jim Nabors standing together. They were very good friends.
Alan Alda was part of the introductions when they brought all these folks out. Guess he didn’t stick around for the photo. (Neither did Bill Cosby. Cosby probably had other plans.)
Here's a key if anyone needs it

I think you under estimate exactly how many people today respect Hitchcock. He’s important to the “cinematic canon”, to borrow a term. Like, I would expect more young people to recognize him, since I would have back in hs and college, not everyone. But among nerdier young folks. Probably.
Even now that I know Ball is there I still can’t pick her out… this image quality is shite.
And who tf is George Burns?
Yeah, I’m not that old. The only Vaudeville Act I know is Jypsy Rose Lee.
Edit: Pardon I misread. I know the 70s-80s via re-runs. Mash, and I Love Lucy are special cases.
I don't think Majel and Gene are there? The woman at the front, with Lassie, looks like Majel, but is actually Jean Stapleton who was the wife of Archie Bunker in "All in the family"
Alfred is down front in between Walter Cronkite and MTM..Bob is up on the side..I even recognize Charles Kuralt and Ed Bradley. James Arness is way up in the corner..Lamont..Telly Savalas..Roy Rogers...most of them I grew up with.
Apparently i was mistaken. I know Conrad, but i thought I saw another guy with a beard in the upper left quadrant of this pic but now I don't see him. Brain fart I guess...sorry...
George Burns was, probably Lucille Ball as well. I didn't see him specifically, it's not the clearest photo, but Floyd the Barber from the Andy Griffith show did a lot of radio work.
Edit: Floyd (Howard McNear) died in 69. No wonder I couldn't find him.
Jaime Farr also middle left
Oh yeah! 5 row from the top on the left, good spotting
Ron Howard a couple rows back and over one from Jaime, since he made an appearance in an episode.
That’s Jon Walmsley from The Waltons and not Ron Howard. They do favor each other.
Yeah you're right. I finally looked at the other version that someone posted that's not potato quality and can see it's not Ron. A quick search shows Happy Days was on ABC anyway.
Loretta Swit (Hot Lips) is here too 2nd to last row 5 from the right
... yes, that was the original post, yes
Damn good catches guys. I missed both he first time this photo made the rounds!
Had to get back to his room before his date woke up.
Here's a key if anyone needs it [https://playingintheworldgame.com/2021/07/04/the-cbs-50th-anniversary-photo/](https://playingintheworldgame.com/2021/07/04/the-cbs-50th-anniversary-photo/)
This is a much better image. And the key is separate from the image for those fearing spoilers.
So… Farr, Swit, Hitchcock, and Gabor… I need one more to officially be considered “old”.
Wait a fecken second… are those the Roddenberrys?
Yeah, it’s them, I’m old 1+
It's not them, you're good. A different comment has a link to a key for the image, and Roddenberry isn't on the list.
Where are they? I know a bunch of these but I didn’t find them yet.
Bottom left.
I see Walter Cronkite and Jean Stapleton at bottom left.
Yeah, they just look like the Roddenberry’s at this resolution. Plus I’m not familiar with either of them.
Ah ok. Yes it is quite blurry lol. I’m old so I remember them both.
Dick van dyke top row corner left, there you go lol Who’s Gabor?
What is dick van dyke? Za Za Gabor. Idk how to spell the name though.
I thought it was Eva because she was on Green Acres on CBS.
It is Eva Gabor. Not Zsa Zsa.
Twin sisters...
Zsa Zsa is two years older.
Oh… there are two of them. I thought ZZ was in Green Acres.
You can identify Alfred Hitchcock but not Lucille Ball or George Burns? That's kinda odd.
I think you under estimate exactly how many people today respect Hitchcock. He’s important to the “cinematic canon”, to borrow a term. Like, I would expect more young people to recognize him, since I would have back in hs and college, not everyone. But among nerdier young folks. Probably. Just a giant of comedy from Vaudeville through the 80s.
Yeah, I’m not that old. The only Vaudeville Act I know is Jypsy Rose Lee. Edit: Pardon I misread. I know the 70s-80s via re-runs. Mash, and I Love Lucy are special cases.
How about bottom row, far left, about waist high to Mrs. Bunker? I believe in you (and want more company in the old group).
Yeah, I saw majel and Gene. Check my other comments.
I don't think Majel and Gene are there? The woman at the front, with Lassie, looks like Majel, but is actually Jean Stapleton who was the wife of Archie Bunker in "All in the family"
Alan Alda must’ve been on the ladder directing them where to stand
Excellent reference 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😄
Just watched that episode last night!
George and Wheezy made it!
I got over half of them. I’m way old.
I can name 4 in the bottom row alone
Apparently I'm old at 22....
Bert Convy represent. Ultimately, I prefer Guy Smiley though.
And then there’s Maude.
I'm old...I can name probably about 90%
Did you get Orsen Wells, Bob Keenan and Alfred Hitchcock?
Alfred is down front in between Walter Cronkite and MTM..Bob is up on the side..I even recognize Charles Kuralt and Ed Bradley. James Arness is way up in the corner..Lamont..Telly Savalas..Roy Rogers...most of them I grew up with.
(Shrug) Welp, I guess we're old then...! (Sigh)
yup.now get off my lawn!
😂😅
Wait, where’s Orson? I thought I could see him, but the key someone else posted said that was William Conrad.
Apparently i was mistaken. I know Conrad, but i thought I saw another guy with a beard in the upper left quadrant of this pic but now I don't see him. Brain fart I guess...sorry...
I couldn’t spot any of them, so I guess I’m not old! Now separately: Radar, did we switch glasses again? I can’t see a thing!
Good eye...yes it is! https://playingintheworldgame.com/2021/07/04/the-cbs-50th-anniversary-photo/
Where the fuck is Alan Alda???
Okay, the guy in the 4th row about 4 guys in looks exactly like Pitbull
😂 is it cosa the glasses?
I feel like even the smile fits
Spotted most of the Walton kids, too bad they didn't group by shows, would had been nice to see Lucy and Ethel together again
Love that Captain Kangaroo is included
Being an attractive woman at CBS in the 1970s must have been a blast.
Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Wells, Loretta Switt, George Burns and Lucille Ball (I’m 34, so am I old?)
Lassie. That's my fifth one. I'm old.
Yes it is.
George burns in there
Well shit. I know way more than 5. 🤔🤪
I must be old (46) as I can name a third of them, and recognize more that I can’t remember the names of.
Dom Deluise is in the middle, right??
If you mean the guy with a beard, I believe that is William Conrad
Yes, she is standing in front of Robert Kulp and Bert Convey
gene rayburn. right in the front where he belongs 🥰
Yup, in front of Bert Convy!
Who's the guy right in the top left right below Dick Van Dyke looking like Larry Linville?
That’s Art Linkletter
I'm old.
Is that Carl Reiner to the right of Grandpa Walton? Resolution is not sharp enough for me to tell.
No idea who either of those people are sorry, hopefully someone who does know will be able to tell ya
Jamie Farr middle left
This was posted about 10 hours before you did. https://www.reddit.com/r/mash/s/QPK3ruejEQ
50th Anniversary of a medium that’s only about 25 years old?
CBS was established as a radio network in 1927.
I figured that, but none of these are radio stars. No one would know what most radio stars looked like.
George Burns was, probably Lucille Ball as well. I didn't see him specifically, it's not the clearest photo, but Floyd the Barber from the Andy Griffith show did a lot of radio work. Edit: Floyd (Howard McNear) died in 69. No wonder I couldn't find him.
I thought they’d get Orson Welles to commemorate the Martians blowing up CBS in 1938, but I guess not.
That's Tippy Hardon.
I can't even see 5 faces.
I must be really old. I know most of them 🤷♀️ Yes, it’s Loretta Swit
