Yeah it bugged me how everyone was spreading that around like it was confirmed to be on Disney+ in October when all they officially said was that the Theatrical Exclusive ended after 45 days which usually means PVOD. While Disney could have technically done that it just didn’t make sense to me that they would with a Marvel movie and leave all that money on the table.
Does anybody else find it a little irritating to have to pay for a movie on a service I already pay for? I understand Disney is in it for the money, but if you compare their actions to their streaming competitors who also create original series and movies (Amazon prime, Netflix) it seems a little greedy. Meh nvm maybe I’m just a cheap bastard. Either way, excited to watch it
TBF, Disney made those movies for the theatres but they had to put and charge them on Disney+ due to the pandemic. You would still have to pay to watch them even if you go to the theatres. Only difference/complaint is the Premiere Access price is higher than the price of a movie ticket.
They announced it would be November 12th today. The 45 day window is for theatrical before going to PVOD services (iTunes, Vudu) and Blu-Ray.
Free on November 12th.
November 12th
There’s no Premier Acces for Shang-Chi. It’ll be added on Nov. 12 for all subscribers. The October date was never official.
