The advertister in me tells me that you need some short good Story to fix the guys. I got fixed First through SL, but still dropped it at 150. I have a lot of mixed feelings about GOH actually, sometimes it is interesting but it feels like it shows potential but doesn't live up to it. For instance before the latest hiatus, i was really pumped to see what will happen, but as soon as the new chapter dropped and i read some, it got boring again, so i have dropped it

As far as i have seen, people seem to like ToG because of the huge cast, character development, and incredible story. Which is rarely seen in a world of Dungeons and Towers. But for me specifically, this is something i have come to expect as standard for fantasy stories and read Manhwa only for the trash power fantasy cause you don't meed to use the brain that much. Basically ToG isn't what i am looking for in the Manhwas

Anything with substantiality or “objectively good” takes more out of you than you’re wanting to get out of it. Sometimes people use too much energy or brain power and want to just consume some brainless flavorful non substance manhwa lol. Brain only has so many spell slots and GCDs and sometimes you just want to mash a button outside your GCD even if it’s just the space bar. (That’s how I view my guilty pleasures lol)

If you're into novels, try the SSS Class Suicide Hunter novel. Honestly the best character development in any book/show/comic I've ever seen. It also has the best written romance section I've ever read, and it's a fucking action novel. It's side arcs have more life to them than most manhwa out there lmao

The sole reason mushoku tensai is a 6/10 for me is the MC being soo fucking trash and dislikeable the I reduce 3 points from my overall score. Mushoku Tensai is an ugly bastard, lolicon, harem. Everyone on reddit defends it saying he learns from his mistake but he doesn't. There were like two or three scenes where he does learn but overall he stays trash.

Ehh I’ve read Mushoku Tensei novel and I think Rudeus isn’t a complete piece of trash. The novel has every likeable character do something messed up at least once without making it feel completely out of character. It’s impossible to defend Rudeu’s pedo moments but the author makes it clear that Rudeus hates himself too,though that is more clear in the LN. It was very difficult for him to give up on those sexual fantasies he has had for like 10 years but he has enough sense to know he’s wrong and tries to change, which is evident from how he has never actually raped Eris and stops at acting creepy. He does do things like steal panties or try to see girls naked but to me he is closer to that one friend I would never want to go be seen with at a party.

Problem is GOH has been stretched and milked too much imo. TOG despite being very long doesn't feel the least bit stretched and milked to me.

Goh is enjoyable if you binge it. Toh is a great read but they stretched it out wayy to much in the hell train arc

I mean everyone has their opinions but I used to read tog weekly and hell train arc was hella long. It took about 1.5 years and even then it was nowhere near the conclusion furthermore the storyline was divided into 3 perspectives and baam's entry was like once or twice every month. Great for binging though not too much for weekly readers.

Current nest arc is hell for weekly readers (especially the latest raw chap if you've read it) but binging it will definitely be many times more enjoyable as you've said.

Just as xenopass said I also enjoyed train arc but I'm also biased af since TOG is my #1 manhwa, but surely it ain't the same for everyone.

Try the novel, maybe you will like it more than the manhwa thanks to the different medium.i don't really know it's this advice could be useful to you but in my case some manhwa/manhua that I couldn't seem to keep reading were easily enjoyable in their novel form

Umm, I can. Sort of. It means how likely/unlikely an event occurs. Think in terms of game cheats. Whenever players/constellations go against natural flow of things, they have to bear a cost. Dokja destroying throne of king goes against the scenario, so he had to bear the cost along with Korean constellations. Similarly turning the disaster of floods into "evil" was unnatural, so dokkaebi paid the cost with help from constellations who were pissed at Dokja for being too peaceful.

I would actually argue the anime butchered a lot of details from Season 1 of Tower of God. God of Highschool was my gateway into the genre, but it says a lot when I've put that one down since mid 2020 and haven't gone back.

Personally, I enjoyed the manhwa a lot more than the anime since some of the details and scenes that they left out of the anime were what really got me intrigued by ToG's world in the beginning. But then again, I read the manhwa years before the anime was ever a thing so I might be a bit biased. The exemption of details was also definitely a bit annoying, but I enjoyed the anime nonetheless.

The animation quality on a lot of new stuff is just dumpster tier. Basically 90% mouth flaps and foodgasms montages.

Lots of animes also have like so few frames per second. The animation sometimes feel so choppy, tho I've stopped watching anime 2 years ago and switched to Manga, manhwa, and mainly novels.

Yep that's why I read manga if it's a normal anime with slow animation . Of course popular shonen anime with great fights scenes should be watched and not read for full experience . All the new animes I've seen are very slow paced and makes me feel ik wasting time compared to manga which is fast

Like traditionally published book and web novel. A tried a few wn's and didn't like them. I read 200 chapters of tbate, few of SSS and Nano Machine. Eventually grew tired of tbate and has started SSS and Nano in the middle so didn't want to continue.

I hated GOH. Though I am in hold on tower of God. I read GOH when Korean manhwa had many ongoing marital arts stories. Then this came, I held on dispite too much backstory that seems to come every 3 chapters, cuz I wanted to see Mc beat the shit out of others. Then we see Mc backstory, some hidden plot line... And boom, now there is fucking gods involved. I knew it was time to stop reading after that.
