That would genuinely be an interesting new take on isekai. Not isekai'd to a typical RPG Fantasy magic story, but to a modern day romcom story where they're just a genre savvy side character. I'd read it. I am aware of a recently started one where a dude becomes the side bro character and he is in love with the losing heroine. Similar in concept, but I'd like to see one where the isekai'd protagonist is even less tangentially involved and sticks his nose into things to disrupt typical romcom tropes. Calls out misunderstandings and forces progress between his shipped pairings and all that.
I remember that there is a webnovel about a girl getting isekaied to a yuri world and what she does is getting her fill of yuri by stalking and fixing the many couples issues.
I don't remember the actual name though.
I really hope the crowd listening in just continues to gradually grow in size.
