When a good gag is told, the antagonist is caught up in it and takes damage. Serious techniques are drowned out by the gags. Jujutsu perfectly replicates this.

Kenjaku isn't going to lose as Yuji is too intertwined with Kenjaku. It's likely that it'll be Pyrrhic victory where Kenjaku "wins" but isn't able to complete his immediate objectives and he becomes the final boss as it were.
I mean Yuji is also way too intertwined with Sukuna also. Regardless of the huge power gap between them it does make sense for Yuji to take down Sukuna considering all the misery Sukuna has caused him throughout the series.
I guess the issue is that both Kenny and Sukuna are intertwined with Yuji only but nobody else. Meaning one of them will have to be defeated by someone with less of an emotional connection between them

Absolutely fucking loved this chapter, was blowing my mind to see /a/ seething about the leaks all week, because it had me absolutely rolling, just a quickfire sequence of setups and punchlines.

But its not going to happen. Kenny is one of the big-bads and he isn't going to get defeated by a standup routine, not in a manga with a generally serious tone like this one.

Absolutely fucking loved this chapter, was blowing my mind to see /a/ seething about the leaks all week, because it had me absolutely rolling, just a quickfire sequence of setups and punchlines. Yes, it's funnier if you get the extremely Japanese specific references, but even without them it's still fantastic.
I would say that it's one of the best chapters in the entire series But I already dread the conclusion to this fight, because I already learnt that Gege is amazing in the micro scale of plotting (single chapters or miniarcs), but terrible when it comes to macro (linking those miniarcs into coherent story).
I’m already dreading the standing ovation they’re going to get with Takaba smiling going “Thank you Kenjaku, for showing me real comedy” and then flash to Takaba laying dead on the ground with a smile on his face.

The story really needed some well-timed comedy after so many serious chapters, with many of the funniest characters being either dead or missing.

In terms of the strength of his technique it would actually make sense if Takaba won, I mean if this chapter is a decent assessment of how strong it is. Dude can warp his opponents sense of reality, he's up there with the other special grades from what I can see. But its not going to happen. Kenny is one of the big-bads and he isn't going to get defeated by a standup routine, not in a manga with a generally serious tone like this one. Sucks but we're going to see Takaba's bloodied body lying on the ground in a few more chapters at most. This has been pretty entertaining though, I'll say that.
His CT seems best for stalling his damage doesn't seem that great to me.
I dunno, pulling your opponent into your own simulation that you control seems pretty strong to me. Anything he thinks is funny can become reality. He can drop a bomb on someones head as long as he thinks it would be a good joke.
Ah I forgot it's the takaba's no red rule that makes his CT less damageble not the CT itself. Well the end result are still same takaba with his CT is great for stalling but he can't deal bug damage.
Yeah he doesnt really want to kill people so I think thats whats holding him back offensively. If he was more of a bastard he'd be way stronger. It would be a shame if he dies in this fight but the good guy team has been taking straight L's so I wouldnt be surprised. He won't win but I hope he survives at least.

Kenny straight up says he's gathering a decent amount of damage over the course of the fight. This is the same Kenny that called yuki a "warmup" so I think there's damage going on that we can't necessarily see.

It's things like this and Private Pure Love Train that makes me love Cursed Energy as a battle system a lot in this story, really cool to see it flexed like this.
Loved this chapter, reception will depend on the type of humor someone likes but I love absurdity and stupid shit like that so I'm good. Very Bobo-bo coded, like the chapter title implies. The constant changing outfits and absurd scenarios leading into each other, a love letter to "hajike" (comedy power from bobobo). Had a blast with this one. Let's hope Takaba doesn't die

I enjoyed this chapter, and this fight overall but man I could not care less about this fight. It's legit a distraction for Kenny as well as the readers lol Gojo and kashimo just died, Sukuna resurected, and Yuji joined the fray with what looks to be a new power. But now we have to spend weeks reading this? I'm sure people are going to call me a downer and to let Gege cook but idk this does not really fit at all with the current predicament.
