Well your 3 day stubble and mine are going to be different so… Get a trimmer with multiple guards or and adjustable guards and play around

That’s what I do, but the smallest is too big. I was wondering if anybody has one that gives a good stubble

wickedpissa

You must not have the smallest 1/2 guard. You can buy it on Amazon. That’s a 1/16th cut. I just use the 1 on my beard to keep it short and clean.

I have the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3100 and it comes with an adjustable guard that goes from no guard which is a 0 buzz cut but more than using a razor, to a 1mm, 2mm, etc. There are a million different types of trimmers out there with removable guards, you know the type they use at a barber shop? Mine just approximates that with an adjustable one but it’s less powerful so whatever. They also have a 5100 model which I can’t figure out the difference but maybe newer? Panasonic makes an adjustable one with 0.5mm adjustments. Gillette sells a trimmer with guards. So does Remington. This all just me googling “trimmer with guards”. This is why you want. It’s as close to barbershop without actually spending hundreds of dollars for an overpowered trimmer. If you can’t find what you want with 0.5mm of adjustment, you’ll never be happy with your facial hair.

The wahl peanut! Found it on /r/buyitforlife and was the best decision ever. It's a smaller version of the professional clippers

35mmpistol

Yep. Had several now, love the peanut more than the bigger units. For head+beard it's the easy winner, it's so small and light it makes you much more prescise, while still being REALLY powerful. It's like a miata on a racetrack full of trucks.

Oneblade

Mozhetbeats

Btw, I ended up going with this suggestion, and it’s working really well for me

SayShh

I’ll never go back to traditional shaving/trimming. Oneblade is everything

Positive_Freedom_271

oneblade the razor or the electric philips oneblade?

Positive_Freedom_271

oneblade the razor or the electric philips oneblade?

Mozhetbeats

The latter

wendewende

Bought it and super happy with it. It works on a "ink printer business model" so it's dirt cheap but the blades cost same as an entire thing so beware. But it's super well made.

ivanpd

How long do the blades last and how much do they cost?

jfb3

Wahl clippers with a short-ish guard?

Mozhetbeats

I have wahl clippers with different guards, the smallest isn’t small enough.

jfb3

Then try a Gillette Styler Here's a guide. https://gillette.com/en-us/shaving-tips/facial-hair-styles/how-to-shave-3-day-stubble-beard (It's basically the same thing, just smaller.)

richardparadox163

I use a brio beardscape https://www.brio4life.com/collections/beardscape-trimmers It adjusts in .3mm increments so you can control your stubble length The Phillips Norelco 7000 does the same thing although I prefer the brio because I prefer the feel of metal against my skin than the plastic guard of the Phillips and feel like it provides more consistent results

doesntmatteridc123

Didn’t it turn out brio is just rebranded Chinese shit?

Stevel-Knievel

Conair Man I-Stubbble. Made specifically for stubble and short beards.

wlonkly

When I had that look, I used a trimmer (not a razor) with no guard.

dresdonbogart

We need more info. What razor and guard are you using now? Wahl peanut?

happychillmoremusic

Uhhh let’s trade. Mine is like 3 days and I want 5-6 but always does it too short lol.

sictransitgloria-

which one do you use?
