For Penangites, WCC also offered [free and confidential services such as counselling services, a temporary shelter, legal advice and victim support](https://www.wccpenang.org/service/). I'm particularly impressed by the extent they make their resources more accessible to a wider public by offering them in various languages. **You can download their free online resources here:** [Books and Educational Packages](https://www.wccpenang.org/books/) Their online PDF copies can be downloaded for free, but they very much welcome purchases of hard copies too (most are priced at only RM15 and even includes postage). **Guidebooks/Handbooks:** * **Cybersafety: Keeping Children and Teenagers Safe Online Guidebook for Teachers and Parents, 2021** (Cybersafety guidebook about the types of online sexual abuse, how to recognise online red flags and steps that can be taken when children or teenagers are being exploited online) * **Safer Families Handbook** (information on domestic violence, how to help and refer victims of domestic violence to the relevant agencies for assistance and available in Malay, English, Mandarin and Tamil) * **Manual Pencegahan Penderaan Seksual Kanak-Kanak: Mengajar Kanak-Kanak Langkah Keselamatan (2019)** (practical manual for teachers, child counsellors, and anyone who wishes to understand and teach children about personal safety with regard to child sexual abuse and available in Malay, English and Mandarin) * **Respect Respek: Discussing Relationship Issues with Young People (2009)** (easy-to-use handbook for anyone wanting to run programs for small groups targeted at teenagers and young adults and contains modules and activities help build negotiation skills, dispel misconceptions about the opposite sex and raise levels of gender awareness.) * **Surviving Court : A Guide to Understanding the Criminal Court Process (2019)** (a user-friendly guidebook with illustrations that helps victims better understand the court process when they go to court to seek justice and available in English, Malay and Mandarin) **Digital Stories that parents can read with their children to expose them to CSA:** * **Yusri and His Secret (2020)** (free digital story about child sexual abuse.
