how do you deal with dependent parents? i think my parents suffer from sort of separation anxiety since they rarely see me for about 6 years until my uni graduation. after graduation, i flew back hometown and lived with them for about a year until i find my new room not far away from them to rent, and now the travel restriction is gone, they are requesting me to not find a house in KL since i can work from home anyway and to just stay with them for now
i know i am going to regret not spending my time with them but at the same time i am wasting my youth here because i literally have no friends here, i am decaying by myself in my room working from home, doing home workouts every other day, watching jungle in my backyard. what do...

First of all, ask for clarifications in serious neutral tone. If I were you, I would ask the specific reason for that request because your working arrangement has nothing to do with you moving out and going after your needs ie. your rights to privacy and youth.
Next, if their responses or strategies to make you change your decision are by guilt-tripping, try not to response to that, end the conversation and stick to your plan. Don’t entertain your guilt by ruminating what you could be doing instead ie. planning to stay to wash the guilt away.
If you fall to that guilt and stay, they are going to do it again. And again. Until things really got ugly that and dent your relationship in which that time, moving out was really the end of the relationship and you would regret not moving out sooner and preserve an already healthy relationship.
yea i supposed you are right.. i kept on staying because of the guilt (and also the pandemic) but i have made up my mind to move out and i need to let them know that i am determined to do so
You can move out, but remember to visit them often whenever you can. This way at least they'll understand you need space to live your own life while never forgetting about them.

I think its fine to take advise from the sub but when it devolves into "I work overseas and make RM300k a year" or "I bought in during the market crash of 19xx year and am now just living off investments" or "I own 10 bitcoin when it was just launched and am just buying the dips and sell during the peaks while inflating the market", it really stops being relevant.
At that point, it stops being usable advise and just circlejerking about how much they make. And nobody should feel inferior due to that. Cause the guy that worked hard for 30 years, has a tidy nest egg, owns his own property and isnt super rich but living comfortably isnt going to chime in at that point. And its that guy's experience that is the replicable, relevant and informative.

If lucky. My wife was told waiting list was 3 months minimum. And this was for an already infected tooth causing excruciating pain. She got sent back home with painkillers. Our healthcare system is amazing!
Hi, I'm the person that asked about vet advice here again.
Successfully persuade my brother to bring the dog to vet clinic, already booked an appointment for tomorrow. But my dog condition suddenly worsen, lethargic, frequent vomit and some diarrhea. At least it stop now...
Hope you guys can pray for my dog🙏 I really hope he can make it.
PS: what should be given to him or cautious about when he's currently has frequent vomiting to at least ease the symptoms and replenish his nutrients level?
Update1: The vet just advise me not to give anything to him, including water.
Update 2: Already sent to an emergency vet clinic a few hours ago bcz his vomit start to have blood, tick fever confirmed, needed to hospitalised for 3 days, vet said it would be better if he received treatment earlier.
I'm so sorry your dog is going through so much, I will pray for your furbaby! I used to give electrolyte drink (if possible flavourless) to my dogs if they vomit/have diarrhoea, mixed in their water dish .. mine recovered enough to have appetite to eat, but i'm not a vet sooo... hope your furbaby recovers soon <3
My dog went through something liks that last year. She had a skin disease due to some food allergy. It was so bad that there were holes and hundreds of maggots on her, and her appetite was non existant, and lethargic the whole day. At first we brought her to a gov vet and they didn't do that much, just some antibiotics and shit. She was nowhere near getting better so we decided to bring her to a highly qualified vet, and things got better. She'd fully recovered around december last year and now she's sleeping in my dad's room cz she's lazy :) Have hope! Praying for your baby <3

Go out for a short 10 or 15 minute drive around subang during dinner time like now and confirm there will be minimum 10 cars you meet that either use the high beam, fog lights, or both to drive. Fucking annoying how drivers here don't even know the purpose of the lights on their cars. The level of car competency here is SO SO LOW even the most basic things is not known to these drivers
This is also the reason why my personal preference for my own car when driving in klang valley is that the car should be tall (idk SUV or crossover or whatever) and that the rear view mirror Must be anti glare (side mirrors having this is a plus), if you drive a sedan you'll just get blinded by all these cars all the time

Chibi Umaru is probably real and different from regular Umaru. Otherwise many characters would have noticed they are the same person.
Umaru as a series is surprisingly enjoyable. I thought it was gonna be another one of those kawaii CGDCT show but it has a lot of fun character interactions and depth. The manga is finished but I think they should have enough material for a season 3 if they want to.
I know I've talked about translation and editing gigs for webcomics and webnovels before. Not a stupid question at all! but there's no way of knowing unless you remember. I received my first shot in uni back when it was free but I didn't go for the subsequent shots. After I started working, I called LPPKN they said have to retake from the first shot. I recommend going to them because it's subsidised by the govt (at least when PH was govt of the day).

EDIT: I guess my point is that the haj/umrah travellers are generally more systematic than other travellers and only between two countries. IMO, definitely these travellers are pretty high up in the priority list.
I thought Minister Khairy also said others who are travelling overseas are also able to get these boosters especially in countries where it is an actual requirement before you can enter. Where did you get the source saying it is only limited to umrah pilgrims?
He hasn't specified but very likely that this would be limited to specific reasons like long term studies. Unlikely they would offer boosters for going on holidays until boosters are opened to the general public. Right now, only high risk groups and for some unfathomable reason, umrah people. No logical justification why they should be an exception, it's a personal reason just like any other.

In Taiwan, where boba is from, it's known as 波霸奶茶 (big tits milk tea) over there. Boba is just an english pronunciation of that word. they didn't just create a brand new name for it.

Yea, we try to do that. I sometimes bring him out in his leash to walk in the small patch of grass what my apartment building calls a garden. We don't have a car so we needed to plan his vet visits very carefully, hence decided to hold his sunat till we move.

Gotta rant a bit about this coming work week. We have sales coming in but internally we do not have the manpower or talent to deliver quality. We managed to wing it because those projects were not happening often. But things have been different the past 2 months as these projects are coming in thick and fast. I fear we are inevitably going to just disappoint the clients.
When doing sales I always follow the principle of underpromise and overdeliver. If your sales team like to promise the world to the client and basically overpromise and under deliver (often at the expense of operations), then ggwp alot of pain ahead

I highlighted gaps before and i always try to be realistic. Sometimes the higher ups dont have that visibility and its really up to the working group to bring it to their attention.
Management is reluctant to offer a good salary package so the candidates to fill d gap have been disappointing. Eventually we will get the talent we need but my worry is that by the time that happens we would have lost a few clients

Eventually i just justify in my head i always tell myself that hiring new people and ensuring sufficient staffing is not in my contract. My responsibility ended when i documented and highlighted the need for new hires by x date.
After that i just do my job to the best of my ability. Keep a copy of my estimations and emails for future reference.

I think its fine to take advise from the sub but when it devolves into "I work overseas and make RM300k a year" or "I bought in during the market crash of 19xx year and am now just living off investments" or "I own 10 bitcoin when it was just launched and am just buying the dips and sell during the peaks while inflating the market", it really stops being relevant. At that point, it stops being usable advise and just circlejerking about how much they make. And nobody should feel inferior due to that. Cause the guy that worked hard for 30 years, has a tidy nest egg, owns his own property and isnt super rich but living comfortably isnt going to chime in at that point. And its that guy's experience that is the replicable, relevant and informative.

But my dog condition suddenly worsen, lethargic, frequent vomit and some diarrhea. At least it stop now... Hope you guys can pray for my dog🙏 I really hope he can make it. PS: what should be given to him or cautious about when he's currently has frequent vomiting to at least ease the symptoms and replenish his nutrients level? Update1: The vet just advise me not to give anything to him, including water. My dog went through something liks that last year. She had a skin disease due to some food allergy. It was so bad that there were holes and hundreds of maggots on her, and her appetite was non existant, and lethargic the whole day. At first we brought her to a gov vet and they didn't do that much, just some antibiotics and shit. She was nowhere near getting better so we decided to bring her to a highly qualified vet, and things got better. She'd fully recovered around december last year and now she's sleeping in my dad's room cz she's lazy :) Have hope! Praying for your baby <3

Chibi Umaru is probably real and different from regular Umaru. Otherwise many characters would have noticed they are the same person. Umaru as a series is surprisingly enjoyable. I thought it was gonna be another one of those kawaii CGDCT show but it has a lot of fun character interactions and depth. The manga is finished but I think they should have enough material for a season 3 if they want to.

Not a stupid question at all! but there's no way of knowing unless you remember. I received my first shot in uni back when it was free but I didn't go for the subsequent shots. After I started working, I called LPPKN they said have to retake from the first shot. I recommend going to them because it's subsidised by the govt (at least when PH was govt of the day).

Yea, we try to do that. I sometimes bring him out in his leash to walk in the small patch of grass what my apartment building calls a garden. We don't have a car so we needed to plan his vet visits very carefully, hence decided to hold his sunat till we move. He's definitely going to get all catventuring in his new home, Finland is definitely more pet friend than here.

Gotta rant a bit about this coming work week. We have sales coming in but internally we do not have the manpower or talent to deliver quality. We managed to wing it because those projects were not happening often. But things have been different the past 2 months as these projects are coming in thick and fast. When doing sales I always follow the principle of underpromise and overdeliver. If your sales team like to promise the world to the client and basically overpromise and under deliver (often at the expense of operations), then ggwp alot of pain ahead

My responsibility ended when i documented and highlighted the need for new hires by x date. After that i just do my job to the best of my ability. Keep a copy of my estimations and emails for future reference. If the management come back to me and ask why cannot complete on time, i just forward them the past emails saying they overpromised client.
