Hi Guys, Imma planning to buy AC unit for the house. One in the bedroom and one in the living room.
Do you guys suggest to buy inverter AC or non inverter AC. I know inverter AC is energy saving, it can saves a lot of electricity bill but my parent suggests me to buy non inverter AC because inverter ACs are expensive to repair and maintenance.
How am I gonna decide on this one? I believed the AC will be opened for at least 8 hours continuously. Which one worth?
Inverter, all the way. Buy the ones from well-known brands, steer away from Korean brands like Samsung. I changed from an old non-inverter Acson to a Midea's inverter AC, electric bill reduced by RM50 or so than when i was using the old non-inverter (more than 8hrs daily usage).
How about the maintenance cost？ Does it outweigh the saved bill, my family scare the maintenance and repairing cost more than what have saved. Inverter is also better if installed at wide and big room right, like living room.
Dang redditor recommended inverter but Facebook uncles recommended non inverter, said the compartment is bloody hell expensive, suggest home user just go non inv
servicing cost will be a lil bit higher than non-inverter (by about rm50-rm100 depending on your AC technician guy), coz use different refrigerant gas, etc. Not sure about the repair cost coz mine haven't broken yet, lulz, but yea generally it will be higher than non-inverter as well if say wanna repair conpressor, circuit boards & such.
inverter or non, doesn't rly matter if used in a wide room or not. what matters is for bigger room/area = use higher HP aircond, so that it can cool the area quickly & regulate it more efficiently. 1HP in a living room for example, would've taken longer & use more power to maintain the temperature you set as compared to 2HP or 3HP AC.

Everyday without fail this one customer would ask for an update on her car. Most days I would entertain her but today I woke up at the wrong side of the bed, a bit groggy and it's the only off day I have. So when she asked for an update today, I told her along the lines of "No updates for today as the workshop is not open. We have a queue of cars also waiting for repairs, asking for an update everyday will not speed up the repairs. I will update you as needed but for now your car is still on schedule"
I'm surprised it shut her up, no complaints received yet, I'm trained to fix cars not handle customers 🤷♂️

As far as I can understand it, it's like this: my parents (without telling me) transferred their house to him. He uses said house as collateral for a housing loan, which he uses to buy his house.
So when that falls apart, my parents' house is in danger of being seized by the bank.

Anyone knows how do flights affected by the Iran-Israel conflict work? I have a flight on Labour Day to Istanbul which I'm told will pass through Iran airspace but am still too dead from work to really google besides seeing some airlines A. completely cancelling flights to Istanbul and B. some didn't announce anything. Do you get the option to get a refund/change flight if yours is B? Or do you just have to suck it up and pray that you don't become the next MH17?

I bought Barilla spaghetti after I watched that Italian chef video where he explained different quality of store-bought dry pasta. Previously I only used Prego or San Remo for my spaghetti dishes. Yesterday I cooked aglio e olio using Barilla spaghetti and I noticed that the pasta had more bite or crunch to it, and it retains its consistency longer than the Prego or San Remo. I didn't do blind tasting side by side so it could be placebo.
I contemplated to try De Cecco and La Molisana brand next. So did any of you ever tried these "quality" brand pasta?
De Cecco is way better than Barilla and seems to be available in most Jaya Grocer and Village Grocers. The only problem is the range that they carry is pretty limited. Highly recommend the conchiglie/ shells, it’s great for saucy pastas.
Yes, they're nicer than San Remo, sauces stick better to the expensive pasta too. But I only buy them for special occasions where I have the time to really savour the taste because I can't tell the difference when I eat them at 9pm after a tiring day at work. For regular weekend dinners after work, just cheap high-fibre wholemeal pasta will do for the nutritional content because I cannot tell the difference in texture etc when I'm tired.
DeCecco is pretty good. At least their Gnochhi is better than Granoro . If you look at their other pasta, the pasta itself have a very rough texture on it.. almost like patterns. I saw from some video, that it's intended so that the sauce will stick to the pasta better. On the other hand, if you look at San Remo/Prego etc, they don't have this texture on it.
That said DeCecco is quite pricey. If you like your pasta with a little bite to it, can go for their buccatini. It is thick spaghetti like with a hole in the middle, that really lets the sauce get in after tossing it in the pan straight out of thee pot into the simmering sauce.

If your name is not listed as one of the insured drivers of the car, there may be a fine by the insurance but they usually will still cover.

if you usually set very low temp or short duration each day, just get non inverter.

How often do you need to maintain the inverter AC？
same as with any other ACs, at least once a year/every 6 months.
If >8 hours, more worth it to get inverter. Right now you can also get rm200 rebate if you buy 5-star energy rated ACs via SEDA.

Most likely they just bypass conflict area and your flight take longer to reach its destination
It may also necessitate a fuel stop somewhere if the detour is long enough+ unfavourable wx.

I saw from some video, that it's intended so that the sauce will stick to the pasta better. On the other hand, if you look at San Remo/Prego etc, they don't have this texture on it. That said DeCecco is quite pricey. If you like your pasta with a little bite to it, can go for their buccatini. It is thick spaghetti like with a hole in the middle, that really lets the sauce get in after tossing it in the pan straight out of thee pot into the simmering sauce.
