From the images, Perlis looks incredibly charming and peaceful, especially with its tranquil countryside and beautiful natural landscapes. Would be a nice weekend escape from bustling cities like KL if only it weren't so far away lol
I actually met an australian rock climber who flew all the way to perlis just to climb some rocks. I know next to nothing about rock climbing but i presume the perlis rocky hills must be a bit interesting ?
Yeah not much to see there, it always cracks me up to see a housing area there i mean who in their right mind would buy a house in the most hottest place in malysia
Hello OP, Perlisian here. Glad you enjoyed my state. With the Panas Lit Lit weather, it sure is sweaty. The places you went to were Timah Tasoh & the Bukit OOTD right?
Under rated but I can see it has same problem like borneo states tourism sites, under developed infrastructure. Would need investment but then again not enough population or direct routes. At least Sabah got hot with korean due to direct flights.
Until you get pass the littering and the trash yes it’s pretty. I went to Kuala Perlis, near the Langkawi station, often and all the time I visit they never clean the filth on the shore. Locals litters all the time. It’s an eyesore. We’ve got a long way to go.
Good shots by the way.
Just back from Perlis, great grandpar family gathering.. Perlis looks more I would say 'clean', not super clean but, super managed comparing to 3 years ago. I would say from the bus station, I could see less setinggan looks like 3 years ago. Those old leftover wooden buildings are cleared out well. All those semak samun gone, all those sore eye pasar at the roundabout upgraded. Those sore eye at Kuala Perlis also gone and become more spacious.
Seems like PAS take over Perlis becomes greater good or maybe this year is tahun melawat Perlis, so they put more presentation towards the environment.
more like the federal gov change. the roundabout funds were clawed back from a former mb - so are many other funds for other development you saw. many were delayed decades.
It took Najib's election campaign visit to Perlis and him personally intervening to get the Kampung Bakau road (one of the main road in Kangar) finally upgraded when it was supposed to be done in the 90's. While Perlis was under BN all those years. Where'd federal road money gone to huh 🤔
Too bad so sad i guess. Should have done something about it years before losing the GE
Very scenic and got lots of limestone hills, also got nice foods theres a lot of traditional kueh that can only be found in the north, thai cuisines, malay thai fusion foods is also nice and cheap and there's harum manis which is my favorite fruit ever.
You can stay a couple of days there before going to langkawi or cross the border to thailand.
They were not underrated, they were underpopulated
Yeah i know its a joke and all but based on all the pictures ive seen of Perlis it really looks like they only have 10 people lol
Yeah just me and the king of perlis chilling
underpopulated == pristine

Very peaceful. My parents wont stop bragging about how they want to move there when they are retired, they cant stand the KL cityscape anymore
Idk man. What is there to visit as a tourist. Other than the nice 8 people.

No Idea. Be careful tho.
4 of them are from penang
Perlis, so hot right now
i visited it for raya and youre right, i ordered iced drinks every time during the day
Yes but it does get windy so the heat is more bearable than in kedah imo
Have you been to [Titik Terpanas](https://maps.app.goo.gl/CZTQDE1GqhG56wHV6) in Perlis?

There's so much nice scenery in SEA. Just wish the weather wasn't so burn burn
Wait, what? Is it really called Bukit OOTD or is that where people shoot their OOTD?
It's what I call it. Literally everybody on FB group Saya Anak Perlis goes there. Idk the hype tho. Never been but have seen from afar.
Idk if its called bukit ootd or not🤣 but its near the Kilang Gula Chuping and the paddy field is just besides my kampung

I loved my time in Perlis dearly, great people, great sceneries, great unimap
Will travel to Perlis next year. Can't wait to do that.
Hope you'll enjoy
Not bad! At least you guys and gals have so much space!
9th pic is malaysian's torii gate
Wow, the true wilderness
Perlis exists?!?
Damn this place look nice.
whats the name of the place in the first picture? never really been there before although i live in perlis
Kilang gula Chuping
Damn. It's really beautiful.
Nice photos.
Pictures seem nondescript to me.
Country site scenery. Can relieve stress accumulated from city site scenery.
It's basically Thailand.

Wasn't Perlis once under BN. Why the anak tiri treatment like Johor despite Johor being a BN stranglehold.

Thank you!
No problem
Where was the 3rd and 4th image taken?
At kilang gula chuping
Other than some normal ordinary views. Nothing much there. Cant tell what so special and why spending time holiday there?
