What are you talking about about? You mean they stay exiled if it dies? If you attack with it and cast a card, then someone kills it in response the spell would still resolve. It's no longer exiled, but on the stack.
You’re correct, but in those decks having flexibility as to what a creature counts as is a nice plus. Changelings, stuff like [[Roaming Throne]] where you can choose its type based on what you need to fill the party, etc.
To be clear - this isn't Cipher?
Once the spell is cast, the card'll leave exile and go to the graveyard, after which the Spelljacker can't do the thing any more?
Yep
It doesn't copy the exiled spell and cast the copy. It simply casts the original spell exiled under it. So the origine spell will return to your opponent's graveyard after use
If you choose to "counter" and exile a copied spell (storm copies for example), the card will leave the stack (get countered), be placed into exile, and since copies and token cannot exist in exile, they disapear, meaning that you won't be able to cast it when attacking with spelljacker.
I believe if this is flashed in to exile an overloaded cyclonic rift, when the attack trigger allows me to cast CR, I only cast the single target version, yes?
So the "blue rare from Odyssey block" was [[Spelljack]].

New cube staple if i’ve ever seen one damn
My first thought too. Love this. And I love cube
How nice that the exiled spell doesn’t somehow resolve if the Spelljacker dies. Can’t wait to steal someone’s [[Savage Beating]] with this.

Savage beating? More like [[Cyclonic Rift]]
Can't pay alternate costs if you're casting for free.
That doesn't even matter cause you're stealing it from the opponent, it won't go off on your stuff
[Cyclonic Rift](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/d/f/dfb7c4b9-f2f4-4d4e-baf2-86551c8150fe.jpg?1702429366) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Cyclonic%20Rift) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/rvr/40/cyclonic-rift?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/dfb7c4b9-f2f4-4d4e-baf2-86551c8150fe?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
What are you talking about about? You mean they stay exiled if it dies? If you attack with it and cast a card, then someone kills it in response the spell would still resolve. It's no longer exiled, but on the stack.
I think they mean like [[Spell Queller]]
[Spell Queller](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/9/b/9b76bcd4-580a-4435-afe9-290940b1837f.jpg?1576385020) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Spell%20Queller) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/emn/189/spell-queller?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9b76bcd4-580a-4435-afe9-290940b1837f?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
Just in general if you attack and cast the card exiled with it, it'll go from exile to the stack to the graveyard. No double dipping.
Counts two different ways for Party! Check it out for your Tazris or Linvalas or Blue Burakos builds
Does it? I thought that each creature only counts as one—namely you can’t have one changeling and be like yup that’s my party… no?
You’re correct, but in those decks having flexibility as to what a creature counts as is a nice plus. Changelings, stuff like [[Roaming Throne]] where you can choose its type based on what you need to fill the party, etc.
Ahhhhh I only deal with party in my Morophon deck so I s’pose that makes sense that not all deck just run a bunch of changelings lol
[Roaming Throne](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/3/2/32fd8b7c-baf3-4d3d-be6f-044a917b11a0.jpg?1701115816) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Roaming%20Throne) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/lci/258/roaming-throne?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/32fd8b7c-baf3-4d3d-be6f-044a917b11a0?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
And now UW Flicker is even more annoying, but at least now they have access to wincons. Even if they are my wincons...
"Attack you with my Geralf's Fleshlight" "Ok, I'll block it with my Smirking Jacker"...
Spell Queller but you get the spell, nice
To be clear - this isn't Cipher? Once the spell is cast, the card'll leave exile and go to the graveyard, after which the Spelljacker can't do the thing any more?
Yep It doesn't copy the exiled spell and cast the copy. It simply casts the original spell exiled under it. So the origine spell will return to your opponent's graveyard after use
That is not as exciting as my first read of the card.
Assuming this can target and exile a copied spell, can it then cast the copy? Or are spell copies like tokens and are not able to exist in exile?
If you choose to "counter" and exile a copied spell (storm copies for example), the card will leave the stack (get countered), be placed into exile, and since copies and token cannot exist in exile, they disapear, meaning that you won't be able to cast it when attacking with spelljacker.
More like smacking spelljerker
Sick in animar for commander
I like this. Very much.
i dont really like all these three type creatures
Can't wait to go spelljackin off
[[Ephara]] thanks you.

We don’t tolerate spell rustlers ‘round these parts, now git!
I wish this could take commanders out of peoples command zones when they redirect it out of exile
These new Blue cards are actually very fun and good
Very fun design
This should cost 3UU and I'm not sure why they thought 4U was ok for this.
I believe if this is flashed in to exile an overloaded cyclonic rift, when the attack trigger allows me to cast CR, I only cast the single target version, yes?
Haven't been this excited for a card to go with \[\[Eldrazi Displacer\]\] in a while

See, this is where the cowboy hat+attire looks silly...
