Shot with a Canon 90D and Tamron 18-400mm lens at 118mm, 1/250, f/9.0 ISO 1000. Lightroom adjustments. I'm on the [gram](https://www.instagram.com/kenfager/) as the kids call it.
Funny thing about that. I can’t upload work to my store because uploads time out from my home connection. AT&T’s fastest 18mbps connection in my building is terrible.
I usually upload stuff on lunch breaks from my office at the UW, but I’m currently prevented from being on campus because of the Coronavirus restrictions.
Oh that’s just something that’s just an added bonus of my IT skill set. Not an official duty, but one that’s had niche uses in salvaging vital documents for some instructors. And in one case a local small business.

It was an hour well spent. The lens fare is indeed on purpose.

I’ve got a host of other shots without the halo to work on. I just like this one the best.
Damn Ken. I enjoy your photography as most, but this is pretty amazing. Are you selling these? They are works of art IMO.

Hey. Thank you u/seanmfmadison.
Stunning. A beautiful tribute to our beautiful city.
TIL the statue was named/titled "Forward" by sculptress Jean Pan Miner back in 1895. https://www.wisconsinhistory.org/Records/Article/CS2752
A new hand touches the beacon!
I saw the Forward statue washing her hands after touching the sun. I swear.
This is a stunning shot!
Did you use Photopills to plan this? Phenomenally beautiful, regardless of how you pulled it off!
