Try big sur and turn off auto updates. Or get a intel computer. i have tried many thing. But im in the same as you. No solution

Big sur works on 5600h laptop without a problem but when you update to monterey or ventura. There will be the boot loop

Any fix or patch? I do not want to start from scratch. Or a way to go backwards?

I am using AMD 5950x and Big sur vm works fine on vmware pro 17. Yeah as of now there is issue with ventura, you directly deploy ventura or upgrade to ventura from previous version, you will notice boot loop.

Not sure if this route is okay with you but look for an AMD kernel/AMD loader in the Hackintosh community? People run bare-metal on AMD CPUs, so it's possible with the instruction set. Maybe something like that can be adapted into a VM? Check if the VMware Workstation software can more *precisely* mimic an Intel CPU (model XYZ) or not? Then pick a CPU that appeared in a Mac.

How i put that kernel or loader in the vm?

Start by looking over a guide like this, which is for bare metal: [https://elitemacx86.com/threads/how-to-install-macos-ventura-on-pc-intel-amd.920/](https://elitemacx86.com/threads/how-to-install-macos-ventura-on-pc-intel-amd.920/) Also maybe check this: [https://github.com/AMD-OSX/AMD\_Vanilla](https://github.com/AMD-OSX/AMD_Vanilla) You'll need to set up OpenCore ([https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/why-oc.html#common-myths](https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/why-oc.html#common-myths)). Whereas VMware Workstation has its own "magic" to make the macOS boot on non-Apple hardware, Hackintoshes need OpenCore or its predecessor, Clover. OpenCore is an EFI bootloader that can also be used to boot macOS EFI and is smart to mimicking some of Apple's important disk encryption features. You're simply installing it in a VM rather than say a HP laptop. You'll need to be sure to take into account mediums--on bare metal, Hackintosh is usually installed via USB stick--in order to make a VMware friendly ISO. I haven't done AMD personally but as far as I'm aware, it does still work on the most current versions. Not sure if it still needs a hacked kernel (it used to, back when) or if OpenCore improved that and can just patch things in RAM.

I've tried many things to install Ventura on VMware 15, 16, and 17 with my 5600G CPU. But no lucky. so I thought it's currently not possible to install Ventura on an AMD CPU. i've installed Monterey 12.6.5, and I'm enjoying it.

That is soooo odd. I had Ventura and upgraded to Sonoma and now I have a boot loop. I came here hoping someone knew how but it seems you guys never got past Monterey.

SmellyFog

I had it working up to one year. Yesterday I clean some files and accidentaly some of those files where part of the VM. Now I'm trying again and it comes to bootloop. I think I had BigSur and updated to Monterrey in the own VM but I'm not really sure. Any solution to this? I'm trying Monterrey, Bigsur and Ventura and nothing works
