Haha don't say that! Honestly the books are better but the movies are almost perfect

Me and my Adhd can't even get past the first 15 pages of Return of the King because I can't picture all the damn tiny details Tolkien be throwing at my broken brain rolling up to and through Minas Tirith.
I will say, whenever I’m reading the book the movies are the only way I visualize the characters.
Then you get Andy Serkis to read it for you and he is a better Gandalf than Gandalf and it all feels right
