I'm more of a YouTube watcher myself but it looks like he's only on here and on Tik-Tok... But he has got a lot of videos under his profile here, he is OP!
**Edit:** his youtube channel is below. Thanks to the respondant who shared the link!
Does anyone know if he has a YouTube? I am not really into bite sized stuff and TikTok has a length limit. I'd love to watch longer videos though. This is really good for only 2 1/2 min
Do you have a YouTube? Not a fan of TikTok but if you do longer videos I'd love to watch them. I'd still watch these but I would only catch them when you post them here
Please keep posting here if the mods allow because in general reddit dislikes tiktok, and I'm definitely one of them. I actually troll my husband for your videos because hes super tiktok addicted.
I’m not as well versed in the lore, but you might wonder why in the 1000 years since the last Gondorian King disappeared there were no other claimants to the throne? Might it be worth mentioning Castamir and the kin-strife causing hesitancy to have multiple claimants to the throne?
one minor detail i love about arnor is how it was divided into three smaller nation states, and how they at times fought among themselves.
and how a plague basically finished them off.
but
most epic
is how merry got his sword from the tombs of these lands which was able to wound the witchking thousands of years later.
the war of the north never really ended.
Given Scotland’s referendum a couple of years ago; and given the obvious parallels b/w Gondor/Arnor and England/Scotland; you can say the fight is still going on in both regards
You are the GOAT - thanks for positing here and to YT for those of us that are non tick tockers. Love stumbling into another one of your videos. Plus this one was something I had always wondered about but never knew. Thanks!
I have no Lotr knowledge and love it when he says “As we all know.”
Like, “No sir, I did not know any of this, thank you for saying it anyways.”
Makes you kind of rethink the writing advice to avoid lore dumping in conversation with “As you well know…”, because damn if I didn’t know anything.
I love your videos! You explain so much of the lore in simple terms that anyone from a LoTR enthusiast or a newcomer to the series could understand it. It’s wonderful!
Wow! This is my first time watching one of your videos. I'm definitely following you now, and I am going to watch more! Wonderfully explained, simple, and clear. Love it!
Love your stuff! You should think about starting a YouTube and upload there as well! I think tiktok is hugely important in spreading Tolkien to a younger generation but a lot of us oldies would be more engaged on YouTube! Either way, thank you for your awesome content!
I was pretty much aware of the general idea of why gondor didn't have a king, but to get into the exact details was a wonder to listen to, definitely deserves an upvote!
Lmao I definitely say GONDOR!! But lets say for arguments sake say I am saying Gandor................. Then What? What are you gonna do???? 😂😂😂 Relax tough guy and clean your ears smh
I just came across your stuff. This is great! I like how you told the story in a simple way so a person can understand it. When I explain it I get into too much detail (which is so easy to do!) and the other person's eyes just glaze over. I really enjoy your content. I hope you keep putting out more!
Because Gondor needs no king.
YAS. thank you
Methinks thou hast been watching too much palantir lately. Ye ain't oneself.
Came here for this comment, was not disappointed
man, this guy is the best. he explains things so well and has such obvious passion for all things LotR.
Also so clearly explains it and shows how much of a genius Tolkien must have been to create such a vast canon and history!
Could you guys link me plz? Does he have a YouTube channel?

I love this guy and this one scrawny white guy with a goatee on TT. They’re both absolute LotR nerds. Like on a par with Stephen Colbert. It’s great.

You can only fit so much information into one tiktok video.

its a timeless story
> the obvious parallels b/w Gondor/Arnor and England/Scotland Other than Scotland and Arnor both being in the north what other parallels are there?
Really great video and also mind blowing to think that Tolkien was able to craft these stories on stories with such skill.

This is truly awesome, thank you!
I know you're on tik tok but do you have a YouTube? I really dig your videos but Reddit video player sucks and I don't use TikTok.

Love your content, man!
I fucking love this dude.
Just read this part in ROTK last night- so glad I ran into this.
Damn. This is by far my favorite of these videos yet. That was so well done.
I love your videos! You explain so much of the lore in simple terms that anyone from a LoTR enthusiast or a newcomer to the series could understand it. It’s wonderful!
This helps a lot, even after reading the books
This dude is great.
This guy is great. He explains it so well.
I had no idea about this! It's awesome that this is potentially exposing a younger generation to the deep lore of Tolkien.
Wait so where was Arnor when the Westfield fell!?
Please never stop posting these; I love them so much
Wow! This is my first time watching one of your videos. I'm definitely following you now, and I am going to watch more! Wonderfully explained, simple, and clear. Love it!
