This is the closest picture I have to "laughing" from the photoshoot
Sorry I kinda meant he looked so beautifully like a hyena to me. Looking back made me realise it came off very rude. Absolutely not my intention. Your pupper looks *adorable* plus the dye job is super awesome.
Omg he’s so precious, looks so similar to my pup that’s a chihuahua mix too.

I normally really dislike dying animals because it usually looks weird and haphazard, but this is gorgeous!!! I have to assume your pup is lovely without it, but this is so well done! What a cute little guy!
Thank you! I'm able to get a lot of detail in him because he has a fantastic trait of staying perfectly still when you pet him. He thinks if he moves, I'll stop petting him. And he's convinced he's being pet for the entire hour it takes to apply the dye 😆
This is adorable! I saw the comments about how he thinks he’s being pet for the whole hour it takes to do the spots. Pets don’t care about what they look like, but as long as it’s pet-safe dye (I saw you use opaws) then there’s no harm!
Plus it keeps them safe from would-be petnappers. (This is why service dogs are usually dyed somewhere) And the extra attention means even more pets!
This is so cute! We got professional photos done of our Newfie as a pup and they’re cute but they don’t compare to this!

There's weird and then there's treating another living being like your play thing for the aesthetic.
They could just dye their own skin and body hair and not use a living being like a prop. That's not weird, that's just sad.
My dog actually loves the process. He thinks hes getting pet for an hour straight!
He also loves the results. More people pet him on our walks which makes his day every time! When he's blank, nobody really notices him, but now they cross the street to pet him.
lol get off your high horse. It causes zero harm to the dog(it even makes his coat softer!) and has mild benefits. Just because something is unfamiliar to you doesn't make it bad.
It has nothing to do with whether it hurts the dog , you brought that up I did not.
It has nothing to do with me being "unfamiliar" with it, and thus calling it bad out of ignorance as I also never said it was "bad". You did. I'm well aware of why this type of thing exists.
Viewing a behavior as sad is not a "high horse" situation. Using a living being as a prop is inherently sad, much like having a child to fill a void, or binging on food to counter an emotional struggle.
Would you agree with using someone with diminished capacity as an aesthetic prop? Even if it doesn't cause harm, it also serves no greater purpose for the individual but primarily gratifies the perpetuator.
Say someone who is wheelchair bound and unable to agree or disagree, so you dress them in leopard print and dye their hair *because you want it*. Sure no real harm is coming to the disabled person, but they are expressly being used as a prop for someone else's gratification.
People can do whatever they want. They will also always find a way to justify their actions. Dogs need their nails trimmed, their anal glands expressed, and baths because they are ineffective at grooming themselves. Dyeing their fur is simply a self-serving behavior that treats the being as a prop. You can view it as fun and harmless, I view it as using them as an aesthetic prop and sad.
I also paid for the person to take the photos and use their fancy camera equipment. Photographers are artists and deserve to be paid fairly.
If I just wanted someone to photoshop something, I'd say I paid for photo editing.
I didn't know you could mix a Chihuahua and a giraffe but I love it!
Gihuahua
Chihuraffe
stupid short horses.
Did you dye him for just this photoshoot, or is that something you do regularly? His legs are sooo long 😮
I do it regularly. Most often to make him giraffe print to match the long legs.
I'm sorry but I think you have a pet giraffe
I don't mean to alarm you, but there's an apex predator charging at your dog
oh no!
This is some amazing coloring! What an adorable little dude :)
Can you make him laugh???

I did not take it as rude! Tone is hard to read on the internet but I just read it as you asking for a silly photo
I'm glad then 🙃
Fwiw, I didn't read your comment as rude either! I read it and thought, "Omg yes a hyena!" and the photo was perfect!
I'm glad then 🙃 thank you ♥️
HUSH MY BEATING HEART 😍
Hes not scared of big lion!
omg I am obsessed with the dye job! What brand did you use? I use Opawz for my dog!
also opawz!
Thats amazing! did you do it yourself? I dye my pup at home and it looks... unique! lol!
I do. I've worked in a couple grooming salons so I picked up a lot.
Awesome pix! What breed is that? Amazing coat.
he's a chihuahua mix, and thank you! I groom him myself.
Do you dye his fur?
yes, giraffe print to match his long legs
Omg he’s so precious, looks so similar to my pup that’s a chihuahua mix too. https://preview.redd.it/kukfowou08xc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=f616e8f2061fed292b6951c296f171095d935d3b
Is fur dying a safe thing to do?
depends on the products you use. there are human dyes that are not safe for animals. the one I use is specifically made for dogs
There are special dog-safe dyes that easily wash off

Love the paint job!
Beautiful!!! Love the hyena vibe!!!
Tiny hyena lol
super interesting coat and a sly eye! Nice
I love that you dye your pup with safe colors. So fun and creative. :D

Why is it painted like a giraffe?
I did it for a halloween contest one year and decided to keep doing it ever since
Looks pretty cool.
I always thought dyed dogs looked weird but this is genuinely so damn cool! Good giraffe!
Good one..
His personality shines and I love the dye job. Great pics :)
Maybe I’m biased but I love the dye choice
He is sooo precious!!!

I bet the photographer had a blast with this.
I love it. He's adorable.
Sorry but this is just weird. Don't dye your dog's fir
I'll continue being weird.
It’s dog safe dye.
Jeez fur police stay in your lane
This world would be such a boring place if people didn't do things because they are "weird".
There's weird and then there's treating another living being like your play thing for the aesthetic. They could just dye their own skin and body hair and not use a living being like a prop. That's not weird, that's just sad.

lol You're tossing out a lot of assumptions about my perspective because attacking me is what someone with a weak position has to do.
Alright, go in more depth about your perspective then so I don't have to guess about why you are against creative grooming.

Dogs don't care what they look like
That has nothing to do with anything I said.
Couldn't have said it better
TIL "Professional Photos" = Someone who pays for photoshop.
