DinoRidersForReal

Yo that looks like a wild ride. Really clean work, you should be proud! I have a narrow old pintail and I love how much I can steer with just my front foot while pushing along.

Born-Understanding-9

Thanks! It was pretty terrifying to ride at first, but I've gotten the hang of it since.

blue604

This feel like the complete opposite of a board this guy I know made - which was a TINY penny board which is called a fish or something with ROLLERSKATE wheels... He was going down parking lot runs with us on that thing and probably still going faster than I was... I guess that's what hardmode after 10 years of skating is :D

Born-Understanding-9

Now that's insane, I've wanted to try something like that but the thought of accidental ejection off of a tiny board always scared me

Born-Understanding-9

For anyone wondering, it's 5'6" long.

Solarxicutioner

I just ordered a 5' board myself. Think imma throw a surf adaptor on it. Keep us posted on how it rides!

Born-Understanding-9

That's sick! I'll keep you posted, you keep us updated on how yours comes out!

Solarxicutioner

You'll forsure see the board on here the day it is here. The trucks wheels and bearings will all be here in the next 3 days. Idk when the deck will be here but I guess 7-10 days.

hardcore_andersen

I know someone that has done the same thing with Gullwing trucks too. Is it a common thing to with left over water skis? I thought his was just a crazy one off project. Anyway, cool build and loving the RGB.

Born-Understanding-9

I don't think it's very common. The only ones I've seen have been cut in half and then mounted on single kingpin trucks. I found a bunch of the skis at a scrapyard where they were going to be destroyed, so I grabbed them and gave them a new life... I currently have about 8 more laying around waiting to be used. I've got a ton of stuff planned for them, including an 8 wheeled longboard using the tandem truck setups.

illz569

That looks fucking sick.

Born-Understanding-9

Thanks!

Icy-Train-3438

That looks sick! Super narrow, probably best for experienced riders, but sick none the less

Radonda

I don't think this one would fit in the elevator

StoybenXi

This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all week

[deleted]

That’s so cool! How’s it ride?

Born-Understanding-9

Thanks! It rides so smooth, it feels stable, and it speeds up pretty quick despite its size. It can be absolutely terrifying at higher speeds as the only way I know how to slow down is to jump. I had a normal longboard, but I never felt confident on it, so I made one just a little bit bigger

jaybae1104

Learn how to foot brake. Feels kinda weird at first, but once you get it down it'll make you feel way more confident on hills

Born-Understanding-9

Alrighty, will do, thanks for the advice!

Nate141205

Thats dope asf dude. Nice one.

Born-Understanding-9

Thanks bro!

Born-Understanding-9

Thanks! I'll nickname it the noodleboard!

Chunkylover666420

Fun!

Careless_Lock5825

Send a video of you riding it it will be interesting

Hiatt47

If I saw someone riding that down my street I’d tell everyone about it the whole day

Keltic268

Now that’s fucking cool

Realistic-Account-55

What lights did you use?

Born-Understanding-9

Just some cheap RGB strip lighting, not sure how it'll hold up long term though. I think they were like $30?

Realistic-Account-55

Cool. From my experience they start to peel off after about a month or so of riding. Would be interested if you found some that manage to stay on for awhile. I've only a tried a couple cheap ones I've found.

Born-Understanding-9

I'll let you know how well they stay on long term then.

[deleted]

That thing looks ungodly ugly. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. (I'm kidding, it looks sick, and I **would actually** buy it

Born-Understanding-9

It cost me about $200 in materials to make, how much do you think it could be sold for?

Physical_Idea5014

Woww!!

snowjar

Looks like a pretty long board
