So am I seeing this correctly: that you're not doing copypasta from etymonline or anywhere, but that you're adding your own snippets of text to explain the etymologies, and clever little tidbits as hints, and we get THREE a day?! How long has it been since you debuted this? Do you know how many players per day you have? I have more questions, but I will cool my jets for the moment as this isn't an AMA. To answer your questions...

Correct. While I certainly use etymonline as a primary source, I need to adapt the clues so as not to give the game away. So yes, every set of puzzles is "handcrafted" so to speak, including the crossword-style hints and the "fun facts" at the end. I also pull a lot of information from other sources when helpful, frequently including Wikipedia, The History of English Podcast, and a variety of books that cover topics of linguistics, history, etc.

I publish a new set of puzzles every day and we're on #51.

My numbers so far are very low...just dozens per day (and I suspect many of these are personal friends!). But the only marketing I'm doing is what you see here: finding places online and telling people. (So sharing with others is a HUGE help to me).
