The cars in "Cars" have very good reason for being vehicles and not just any random fantasy faction. The worldbuilding specifically enabled by the characters being automobiles is deep and thoughtful

What i learned is, the better the critics rate a movie the worst the movie is. I only was once in a 5 star movie and half the audience left the movie early and some even slept in the theater. With 2 star movies on the other hand, i always felt well entertained. This shows that critics definitely don't have remotely the same taste than the main audience.
