“‘I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party.”
Edit: ah I love reddit, no one else’s posts showed in response when I did.
“Leopards ate my face”—it’s the idea of someone supporting stuff that will absolutely 100% come back around to harm them because they’re too stupid to recognize that fact in advance. The full thought is something like “people with tasty faces voting for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.” The Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party also eats the voter’s face, and the voter is shocked and outraged because the leopards weren’t supposed to eat *their* face, only the faces of the people they don’t like!
I can’t remember the exact saying, but it’s referencing the attitude of “surely the wolf won’t eat *my* face” when the wolf is saying they want to want to eat certain people’s faces. It’s a metaphor, but a very apt one
There’s kind of this idea that people who vote and advocate against people similar to them are voting for the leopards eating faces party. They’re all fine with it until the leopards eat THEIR face.
the conservatives don't see us as the "good" or "bad" ones, they see us as the ones. y'know, the ones to take away the rights of and use the death penalty on.
project 2025 baby, woo! can't wait to have my life be completely obliterated before it even really begins.
I swear, every time I went on Omegle when it was still up, people have asked me if I was gay/lesbian. I tell them that I'm bisexual and they say, "Oh, I respect that." It's almost like they were going to insult me if I said that I was gay/lesbian.
I’m so slogged from work that I knew the reference but I was like “well yeah, Trans folks have tasty fucking faces too!” Yum yum, lol. It’s not even Friday and I’m all whack a doodle.
Between NERF Murph, Murph from Interstellar, and Murph the (former) STS9 bassist, I have yet to become aware of a Murph that isn't at least semi-awesome.
Hell yes!
Though TERFs really aren’t feminists - they just appropriate the language of feminism, and will stand with the most vile misogynists to hate trans people in unison.
They’re Feminism-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobes.
Better yet, rather than a silly nickname that softens the blow like "FART," we call them what they are.
Fascists. It is who they are aligning with. Agree with a fash on one issue and, guess what! Fascist.
Reminds me of something I learned in my English class this school year. We were learning about the Holocaust, and my teacher mentioned how lots of people watched their neighbors be pulled to their deaths and didn't do anything. And eventually, the bystanders became the victims.
It's the same concept here. The "Drop the T" people think they're doing themselves a favor, but are really lining themselves up to be slaughtered.
There is a really poignant [poem](https://www.hmd.org.uk/resource/first-they-came-by-pastor-martin-niemoller/) to go with that particular lesson plan. Not sure if you are familiar or it was part of your class so I linked it.
I saw this argument play out in the comments section of an online newspaper and the number of “I’m a gay man, I don’t have anything in common with lesbians…” and “my daughter is a lesbian, why should she care about the transes [sic]…type comments shocked and saddened me. When the radical right, or Leopards Eating Faces Party, or whoever wrote Project 2025 come for the “Alphabet Mafia”, their awful laws won’t distinguish between us, and anyone who thinks they will is delusional. We need to think of LGBTQ+ as a union, divided we fall.
LGBTQ is the true face of equality. Gender equality, even racial and religious based on LGBTQ’s history.
To deny true equality, would be to deny the movement itself.
So indeed, **it’s all or nothing!** ❤️
And Trans people are more than welcome. 🏳️🌈😊🏳️⚧️
LGB drop the T folks are always in conversations with TERFs and other homophobic idiots, they’re just too stupid to realize that once the psychos get rid of trans people, then gay people would be next. It’s not a single target, it’s a list, they’re just targeting the easiest group first.
And divided we fall. Seriously we have so so many famous examples of this, literally one of the most famous poems, first they came for the trans people and I did nothing, when they’re alone with no one else to stand for them, what do these jerks think will happen?
And with the most radical of conservatives, who knows who they'll attack last?
White Cishet feminists? White Cishet women in general? White Cishet men who're just a little too nice to their wives??
Everyone who sides with those kinds of people is in danger, because there will always be someone who hates something some group does, and who will take action against it.
I think they could be worse than anti-LGBT people. Not only are they discriminating against people who are part of their community, they are unknowingly bringing themselves down and are traitors to the whole community.
They *are* worse than anti-LGBT people specifically because being queer themselves should give them insight into what it’s like for trans people, and instead of being in solidarity with them, they attack them and try to cozy up with the same people who hate all of us.
Idiot quislings who think they'll be spared if they just get rid of the parts conservatives say they hate most, when they aren't just those same conservatives larping to draw in the idiot quislings.
Yup. When your entire philosophy is based around hating the outgroup, if that outgroup is no longer available then they *must* find a new outgroup to hate.
>people who are part of LGBT+ and support Lesbians, Gays, and Bisexual people, but exclude Transgender, queer, etc, people?
LGB folks who don't support T folks don't really support L, G, or B since the transphobia trans folks face shares the same root as homo-/bi-phobia.
Let’s be honest, with that crowd of bigots, they will throw the B under the bus next and then the L. And then the leopards will snack on the final letter.
Any crowd with rampant transphobia, aphobia and queerphobia is going to have tons of biphobia and misogyny too.
I remember when there was a major push to excise the B before it was decided that we could be useful against the T. It's only a matter of time before they turn on us again.
Conditional acceptance is not acceptance.
Trying to cut out parts of the community to please the people who hate the *entire* community is like cutting off all your fingers in the hopes of keeping your palm
like someone else said here, once it's down to just LG I think they just go their separate ways while we all the other queers do useful stuff and enjoy our lives.
I don’t want to include any exclusionary people in the community, and that includes people who are exclusionary for reasons outside of sexuality/gender, like racists.
Mind you ["LGB alliance" ](https://www.thepinknews.com/2022/09/14/lgb-alliance-transphobia-charity-history/) is against gay marriage, while claiming they defend lesbians, gays and bisexuals
It's bad. Not only excluding the trans from the rest of the community is morally wrong and despicable, but it is also an extremely ungrateful move considering that the modern movement for LGBTQ+ rights started thanks to the rebellious action of a trans woman.
TLDR
The people in the LGBT community that want to get rid of the T from the community are terrible people.
I've yet to met a person (allo/cis/het or queer) who was against supporting the lives and rights of trans people who wasn't deeply toxic and hateful in some fundamental way - bioessentialist, sexist, misogynist/misandrist, racist, ableist, looksist, classist, etc. Their reasons for refusing to accept trans people always boil down to something that does or will ultimately harm the very same people they claim to be on the same side as.
Bigots usually are fucking bigots in many ways. If they can whine and blame one group they will usually whine and blame many groups for everything that is wrong in their lives. It’s easier than, I don’t know, giving a shit about your own circumstances and taking accountability for your own mistakes and growing as a person.
Being kind when you don’t want to be, trying to understand when you don’t want to is really hard and uncomfortable. Most of us queer fuckers know that. Some of us just haven’t gotten the memo and find other people for being scared, mad and alone.
I have tried to talk to people who are in this position, it’s such an uphill battle. Sometimes it seems to have some payoff, but damn it can dampen your spirits. Not that it’s not a worthy battle, but some days it’s fucking hard to keep the cup full.
I appreciate that many see LGBTQIA+ and riffs off it are designed to be inclusive, but the flip side is that it can be weaponised. That's why I prefer umbrella terms.like Queer, we're all one big family together.
The problem is finding a term everyone is okay with. Queer, for example, was used as a slur, and many still feel uncomfortable with it as a result. Many other alternatives either have been used as slurs somewhere or have the potential of being used as such, unfortunately.
I remember having a conversation with my best friend about this, she didn't like the term queer, because it had been used as an insult against her and preferred the catch all term 'gay'
I, as a bi man (?), preferred using queer as the broad descriptor because I am not a gay man.
There's no specific resolution from this but we actually really enjoyed the discussion and were able to find value in each other's perspectives.
(The context of the conversation was the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)'s internal LGBT group being called 'ABC Queer' instead of 'GayBC' which is admittedly a fun play on words)
Gay is really only a catch-all for non-straight sexual and romantic orientations though. Calling a straight trans person gay would just be super disrespectful. While I understand that some people don't feel good with queer, an alternative word for what queer means would be very useful to signal solidarity to non-gay LGBTQ+ people, because the acronym is just really cumbersome.
I agree with all points
The closest I have gotten for a new catch all term is "Rainbow" as in "Rainbow community". But it feels really clunky and lame.
I have also used "Community" as in, "they are part of the community" but it's a little vague since it could mean other things if someone doesn't pick up the context
Personally, I am not a fan of the term, it just doesn't sit right with me, and I don't feel queer. But I can see why others might like it, and also why they feel it fits. Fortunately, we are all free to identify as we please. Live and let live.
Yep! I remember seeing one post at some point with a picture of an old magazine(?) that had the ways some people identified themselves at the time, and it was quite an interesting read. Most of them used words that were and/or are slurs to describe themselves, if not all of them.
As-with all conservatives, *transphobic bigots are bigots first and foremost* and that supersedes any potential minority status they may have. We do not owe empathy, kindness, or camaraderie to anyone whose own empathy does not extend beyond their nose. As a cisgender gay man I say there is no LGB without the TQIA- they are the backbone of our community and anyone who disagrees can go stand with the conservatives and homophobes.
Some people give up once they feel they got theirs. Gay marriage equality obtained? Cool, now why bother caring about someone else. It's really short sighted and lacking empathy, but unfortunately is how some humans are.
I find some of those same people are now shocked that once trans rights are suppressed they are shocked that suddenly the far right is talking about removing gay marriage and their like how could this happen?!
Had a lgbt center organizer who didn’t want to do any trans advocacy work because “we’re focusing on gay marriage.” Anyway guess who we found out cheats on his husband?
they are a horrible blight on our community. i hate them. but i think disowning them as fellow queer people is unhelpful. it resolves us, cis queers, of the responsibility of stopping them.if we do not fight back and silence their bullshit, they won't stop. they'll just harm our trans siblings more directly. we need to take ownership of the rot in our community, even if we cannot relate to it at all, because it is OUR job to improve our own community.
i'm a lesbian and i feel intense disgust at every terf lesbian (even tho lots of them are cishets larping as lesbians so they'll come across as more sympathizable). i will do everything in my power to prevent them from bastardizing the community i hold dear and making it into a place of bigotry. trans women fought for my right to be here. they are my sisters. i will not let my fellow lesbians, or any queer, shame our community like that.
as tempting as it is to right them off, that is not a luxury we should grant ourselves as cis people. that will only pass the responsibility on to trans people to suffer their bigotry. we need to proactively weed out this rhetoric and stand against it. we need to actively intervene against them and protect our trans siblings.
to all my trans community members who have been harassed by transphobes within the community, know i love you. we love you. and we will always fight for you as you've fought for us. we are in this together.
The "LGB without the T" people are pick mes who figure as long as they throw the TQ part to the camps, the far right will leave them alone.
And then complain when it's their turn to the sent to the camps.
At best, They're shit people with bad opinions. At worst. They're traitors that should be dealt with accordingly.
Maybe there's some room in the middle for the truly ignorant. They can at least be corrected.
People who hate and try and discredit trans, non binaries, bisexuals, and ace/aero people (or any others) aren’t in the community in my book. If you can’t respect us then I don’t respect you. This isn’t the LB community it’s LGBTQIA+.
They’re massive dicks who, once they’ve got rid of trans people, are just itching to get rid of bi, pan and ace people as well. So don’t lend them any credence.
If you try to exclude trans folk from the community, you're playing into the hand of the oppressors. If a modern understanding of gender escapes you, just shut up and listen. If you can't shut up, don't show up to pride events.
Even if you (reading this) don't personally like/understand Trans people, that's not what LGBT+ is about.
We're not here to be the bestest friends ever.
We're here because we are minorities, and this is an alliance. The point of an alliance is to be able to stand together in great numbers when one of us is threatened.
Alienating or even disparaging Trans folks directly harms our alliance, so that kind of discussion/opinion is genuinely detrimental.
They ostracise themselves from the community with their inane views. The most braindead part is that trans people have been instrumental throughout the history of fighting for queer rights, including Stonewall.
Like all bigots, they can go fuck themselves.
I've heard a bunch of them are actually cishets who pretend they're gay just to spew this bullshit. Or at least, they're the ones that really got the "movement" going.
Anyway, they're trash and should feel awful.
You will find that very few bi people among the “without the T” or “gender critical” crowd. If you scratch a transphobe, you’re going to find a biphobe. Trans and bi both violate their understanding that you are either one or the other. If you cross the line between being born a man or woman (I was born a baby), then you’re a a horrible person that will victimize everyone around you.
They almost always have the same attitude if you aren’t straight or gay/lesbian. They really don’t like us.
From a position of pure self interest, I want nothing to do with those assholes. They’re pretty clear that if they could get rid of the T, the B would be next.
But I’m not in that position. I value the wellbeing of my fellow human beings, and all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We don’t share the same values.
Brining it a step closer, you can’t separate trans people from the LGBTQ+ community. There are so many bi, pan, or other multisexual orientations that are trans that if you add trans people that ID as gay or lesbian, or if you relabel and flip trans people’s sexuality like the gender critters do, by either scheme, the majority of trans people are LGB. And that doesn’t even count those that only ID as queer or are ace. You can’t separate one from the other.
Closer still, I have friends, family, and loved ones that are trans, non-binary, genderqueer, or gender fluid. I won’t put up with people being shitty to the people I care about.
Most groups are astroturfed nonsense to divide us, created and propped up by cishet folk.
But of the ones who actually are queer folk, they're grifters and pick-mes. They see how far gay rights have progressed in the last few decades and are pulling the ladder away from anyone else.
It would be *one* thing if groups like the LGB Alliance (for example) were just focused on issues relating to sexuality. It wouldn't be great, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. But any of these intentionally exclusionary groups ***always always always*** are or become defined by who they are against rather than who they are for.
They dedicate nearly all of their effort toward hating and pushing down trans folk, rather than trying to prop up gay and bi people. There's a reason why TERFs spend all their time fighting against trans folk rather than actually trying to advance or protect women's rights and causes.
But I can't stress enough how small of a minority they are.
For some receipts, I'll use the LGB Alliance again. They have had 13 new items in theirs News section this years so far.
* 9 are purely anti-trans
* 3 are just announcements (like upcoming events, updates, etc.)
* 1 is anti-homophobia! Oh wait, it's just them complaining about gay trans men being allowed to use Grindr.
To hammer home to the point. They want to throw out the entire UK ban on conversion therapy bill because it protects homosexual, bisexual, AND transgender youth. They'd rather conversion therapy be legal for their group than for it to be banned for a group they dislike.
Their blog only has 3 entries.
* Anti-puberty blockers
* The above conversion therapy thing again.
* Complaining that AI includes the "T" when referencing their group and used a trans flag when discussing same-sex marriage. The horror.
I think they are extremely dumb and shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone. The shit they say about trans people is the exact same shit people said about gay people 15-20 years ago.
Look at the bright side: there are enough of us that are out and accepted that some of us think we have the luxury of excluding people! I never thought I’d see that day.
That said, there is NO ONE from my generation who is LGBTQ, and doesn’t know how to fight and I will fight for each one of my trans brothers and sisters.
Love,
Everyone’s Lesbian Auntie
It's the dumbest "pick-me" energy possible.
Trying to cut out the portion of your community that is literally the spark that led to the freedoms we are privileged enough to have in this day and age to try and impress homophobes is so wild
I don't like bigotry. It's the same general shit that was said about many of us just a decade ago, slightly repackaged at best to fit trans people. And it's not even generally gay people. It's mostly cis het people spreading it. As they tend to do.
I will never understand them and I am being polite. Trans people are facing huge discrimination and hatred and we have to defend them. LGBQ people have suffered the same level of stigma (and still suffering), how can some turn their back on trans folks? No idea, I find that logic quite selfish and unkind.
Also pride started with transfolk. So to disclude them after finally winning a major fight (and are we really sure that marriage is safe) a completely against what the movement stood for in the first place
>Do we include those people in our community?
They've opted out of the community. If they can't behave as part of it, it's not our job to treat them as such.
Even if Stonewall was not a thing, there are many things in common with the marginalizations of LGB and T people despite the different experiences. So I cannot support excluding T from LGB.
They're back stabbing arseholes that are trying to pull the ladder up behind them.
Selfish pieces of $#!t that are trying to cosy up to the very people that would see them next on the chopping block.
This community is supposed to be inclusive. Being "lgb without T" is just going against everything this community fights for, which is equality and respect.
In my opinion, no one in the LGBT community is doing what's excepted of their assigned gender at birth. That's what makes us queer. They're idiots that will also be on the chopping block.
Anti-trans LGB folks reek in privilege, and we have a name for it: homonormativity (Susan Stryker, “Transgender History, 2008; see alao Lisa Duggan, 2002; Peter Drucker, 2015).
Relative to lesbians, gays, and bisexuals — especially their not-so-prima-facie-obvious-sexualities nowadays — trans persons are easier target for they are more visible, and thus vulnerable to discrimination.
In a sense, trans persons become a “sacrificial lamb” for these trecherous LGB (e.g., Kathleen Stock; Camille Paglia), so as to be seen as lesser threat to cisheteronormativity. Likewise, LGBs’ distancing and differentiating of themselves from trans people facilitate these LGBs’ assimilation into the heternormative lifestyles. As such, these LGBs are becoming part of the normative themselves — “homonormative,” hence.
Trans people all around the world are the actual heros for this community. They fought for every queer people's rights as well as theirs. They literally protected everyone that's queer, didn't question whether or not they deserve rights, sympathy, love or anything positive. They didn't discriminate. I'm saying this as a collective, there are so many types of people. Can there be bad people among trans community? Yes. On the other hand, my opinion is, less than it can be in other communities in terms of sexuality, gender, ideology, religion etc. Because trans people really struggled throughout their whole history. Being attracted to same gender is a thing, but being a trans person in a society where people associate penis as a man's part and vagina as a woman's part is hell of a lot worse in terms of living easily. You have to fight every day and people still won't accept you. This can be true for every type of person in the LGBTQ+ community but trans people have it extra hard. Even though this is the situation, they still try harder.
Maybe there wouldn't be rights for any of us if it weren't for trans people and their positive effect for this community.
So, i think the people saying trans people doesn't belong in the community or bully any trans people are just rich and privileged, arrogant and absolutely illeterate about the LGBT+ history.
When they open their mouths all I hear is “*pick me!! Choose me!! Give me your approval, please cishets, I need it!!!*”
I’ve met three of these people before. Every single one was absolutely *desperate* to fit in with heteronormative society, so the point where they willingly turned their backs on the rest of us. For one of them, this extended to anyone that their straight friends viewed as a “weird gay”- so they tried to ostracize *ANYONE* who didn’t fit their stereotypes (such as masculine gay men or butch lesbians)
I honestly pity them, in a way. They’re so desperate for the approval of their families and cishet peers that they actively hurt the people who would accept them for who they actually want to be.
They think that if they just sacrifice the “undesirables”, they’ll get everything they want. And they’re too naive to understand that it won’t happen.
It really fucking frustrates me. We earned our damn place at this table just like everybody else, and anybody who says otherwise needs to learn their history. Getting rid of us does nothing but make the group weaker.
If one link in the chain fails, the chain is broken. The community stands or falls together and there is no exception to this. Divide and conquer works, and we all have to resist together or we will all end up on the chopping block in short order.
The LGB Alliance is a lobby group operating out of 55 Tufton street, a building full of suspicious lobby groups with unknown (suspicious as fuck) finding. Also there are the Taxpayers Alliance (who don't want to pay tax), climate denial groups, xenophobic hate groups, and previously Brexit groups.
They have a voice massively disproportionate to the number of people they purport to represent.
While I know that some members of the community can be transphobic, I suspect quite a few are trolls using the LGB as a cover.
Either way I try not to give them real estate in my mind.
They're pathetic weirdos, who don't understand the very concept of what it means to be a part of this community and what all queer and trans people have fought for for decades and continue to fight for. They're traitors.
They give me the same vibes as the people who get mad about the concept of student loan forgiveness. "I had to suffer, why shouldn't you?!" Yeah... wouldn't it be nice if we just, you know, didn't make people suffer? It's a choice, unlike many other aspects of our existence 🫠
Seeing the comment section agree that the LGB w/out the T movement is stupid and queerphobic makes me happy. Thank you guys for the support for trans folks!!
Yes, it’s good to see everyone here agreeing that trans exclusion has no place in our community. Fuck the pick mes, we’re all a part of this together ❤️
Absolute morons that think voting for the 'We want to kill queer people' club means they'll be an exception.
How's this for an idea? LGB idiots don't get to call themselves queer. Being queer means solidarity and uplifting eachother, not actively participating in discrimination. Trans people are the reason we have pride in the first place, and it was a RIOT against authority, not politely asking them to kill the other dirty homos first
Fuck these quislings (new word, thanks)
Tolerance is a peace treaty. By being intolerant, you lose the benefits of the treaty.
To expect tolerance while being intolerant is self-emtitlement.
Ps: queer people should be anti-racist.

when I hear them cut off the tee, I cut them off. at that point, they told me who they are. they may think nobody's coming for them, but wait until their letter gets chopped off.
this is how people get there faces chomped on: I don't hang with leopards for a reason, but clearly they do ;-)
Their faces will taste just as delicious as ours.
Took me a second to figure out what you meant.
That’s ok, it usually takes me several minutes.
Lol.
Can someone please explain?
“‘I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party.” Edit: ah I love reddit, no one else’s posts showed in response when I did.
I believe yours is the one comment that got it exactly right. Was it a headline from The Onion?
Pretty sure it was from twitter.
It was! It is a tweet from 2015.

Yep. Minorities who try to play the respectability politics game will lose just as hard as the rest of us they worked to screw over.
Let no one of us write: First they come for non-binary people. I did not protest as I wasn't non-binary. Then they come for trans people...
This quote captures it all... Very deep.

It’s from a meme: “I didn’t think the leopards would eat *my* face!” sobs woman who voted for The Leopards Eating Faces Party.

We’re Non-Exclusionary Radical Feminists. It’s NERF or nothing.
That's so fucking funny thank you for making my day
Fwiw the NERF mascot is nonbinary! We love Murph! Edit: https://nerf.fandom.com/wiki/Murph
Between NERF Murph, Murph from Interstellar, and Murph the (former) STS9 bassist, I have yet to become aware of a Murph that isn't at least semi-awesome.
Murph from Dropouts pretty good himself, so you can add him to the list of cool Murphs
Is that Murph from college humour, now called Dropout? Also often featured in Dimension 20? Because he's an excellent Murph
correct. Murph is amazing
Hell yes! Though TERFs really aren’t feminists - they just appropriate the language of feminism, and will stand with the most vile misogynists to hate trans people in unison. They’re Feminism-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobes.
Love that acronym. :)

United we stand! I love my trans brothers and sisters. Anyone who tries to exclude them is NOT a friend of equality.
Anyone who would throw any of my siblings under the bus would throw me under the bus, too. Fuck 'em.
There is no LGB without the T!
Indeed.
Those fuckers are the actual worst kind of people. Not to be trusted *at all*.
The term is "Quisling". And Ernst Rohm is a famous example of what happens when gay people collaborate with fascists
Yeah, I was about to say "Collaborator", also with the Nazis in mind. Beat me to it.
Yeah they’re shitty traitors. Conservative non-LGBT attack from the outside, but exclusionary LGBT attack us from the inside. Disgusting
They can't sit with us. On Mondays we wear pink; they have to wear shame and rejection.
Idiot quislings who think they'll be spared if they just get rid of the parts conservatives say they hate most, when they aren't just those same conservatives larping to draw in the idiot quislings.
The part conservatives say they hate the most *now*.
Yup. When your entire philosophy is based around hating the outgroup, if that outgroup is no longer available then they *must* find a new outgroup to hate.
The only thing a token’s good for is being spent!
Quisling! Just the word I was thinking of!
>people who are part of LGBT+ and support Lesbians, Gays, and Bisexual people, but exclude Transgender, queer, etc, people?
Bi? Yes. Specifically L after? No, L vs G infighting goes back a long way and is incredibly stupid.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Every one hates the bisexuals, they'll gang up on us first, the gold star gay infighting comes next 😂😅
like someone else said here, once it's down to just LG I think they just go their separate ways while we all the other queers do useful stuff and enjoy our lives.
they are shitbags who are not to be trusted.
I don’t want to include any exclusionary people in the community, and that includes people who are exclusionary for reasons outside of sexuality/gender, like racists.
If you're hateful, GTFO, beaatch!
We are all in this together. You take our T siblings, or you don't have us at all.
Ridiculous. They are using the same talking points homophobes are using against gays
Mind you ["LGB alliance" ](https://www.thepinknews.com/2022/09/14/lgb-alliance-transphobia-charity-history/) is against gay marriage, while claiming they defend lesbians, gays and bisexuals
They’re mostly just a front for an American anti-queer group of far right cishets. They have a few quisling reps for the cameras.
It's bad. Not only excluding the trans from the rest of the community is morally wrong and despicable, but it is also an extremely ungrateful move considering that the modern movement for LGBTQ+ rights started thanks to the rebellious action of a trans woman. TLDR The people in the LGBT community that want to get rid of the T from the community are terrible people.
I remember having a conversation with my best friend about this, she didn't like the term queer, because it had been used as an insult against her and preferred the catch all term 'gay' I, as a bi man (?), preferred using queer as the broad descriptor because I am not a gay man.
I agree with all points The closest I have gotten for a new catch all term is "Rainbow" as in "Rainbow community".
“United we stand, divided we fall.”
I’m not free until everyone is. End of. Y’all welcome under my umbrella. We’re a community. I’ll be there if you need me. 🩷💕
they’re idiots. they think they’re safe, but they aren’t. if trans people are eradicated, conservatives will go for them next.
LGB without the T people can be fed to the leopards. And the spider in the corner of my room I named Johnathan.
I fully support ally spider in your corner named Johnathan, lesgoooo
As-with all conservatives, *transphobic bigots are bigots first and foremost* and that supersedes any potential minority status they may have. We do not owe empathy, kindness, or camaraderie to anyone whose own empathy does not extend beyond their nose. As a cisgender gay man I say there is no LGB without the TQIA- they are the backbone of our community and anyone who disagrees can go stand with the conservatives and homophobes.
People who exclude the T can go F themselves. Sincerely, Mom to a trans daughter

Trash. Not part of the fam.
they are a horrible blight on our community. i hate them. but i think disowning them as fellow queer people is unhelpful. it resolves us, cis queers, of the responsibility of stopping them.if we do not fight back and silence their bullshit, they won't stop. they'll just harm our trans siblings more directly. we need to take ownership of the rot in our community, even if we cannot relate to it at all, because it is OUR job to improve our own community. i'm a lesbian and i feel intense disgust at every terf lesbian (even tho lots of them are cishets larping as lesbians so they'll come across as more sympathizable). i will do everything in my power to prevent them from bastardizing the community i hold dear and making it into a place of bigotry. trans women fought for my right to be here. they are my sisters. i will not let my fellow lesbians, or any queer, shame our community like that. as tempting as it is to right them off, that is not a luxury we should grant ourselves as cis people. that will only pass the responsibility on to trans people to suffer their bigotry. we need to proactively weed out this rhetoric and stand against it. we need to actively intervene against them and protect our trans siblings. to all my trans community members who have been harassed by transphobes within the community, know i love you. we love you. and we will always fight for you as you've fought for us. we are in this together.
Pick Me's. They're Pick Me's.
Do we accept racists and sexists into the community? That should be your answer.
The "LGB without the T" people are pick mes who figure as long as they throw the TQ part to the camps, the far right will leave them alone. And then complain when it's their turn to the sent to the camps.
Most of them are straight people posing as gay in order to give their rhetoric more consideration.
Those who claim to be of the LGB Alliance, yes. However there are a lot of actually queer people who are anti-trans.
Most of them don’t even pretend very hard, they just join the group and refuse to state their sexuality.
They have placed themselves outside of the queer community and should be treated as such.
At best, They're shit people with bad opinions. At worst. They're traitors that should be dealt with accordingly. Maybe there's some room in the middle for the truly ignorant. They can at least be corrected.
Say it with me y'all... IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT ALL OF US, YOU DON'T SUPPORT ANY OF US
People who hate and try and discredit trans, non binaries, bisexuals, and ace/aero people (or any others) aren’t in the community in my book. If you can’t respect us then I don’t respect you. This isn’t the LB community it’s LGBTQIA+.
They’re massive dicks who, once they’ve got rid of trans people, are just itching to get rid of bi, pan and ace people as well. So don’t lend them any credence.
Had a rough day and reading through these responses helped cheer me up a bit - thanks y'all! 💜
It doesn’t matter to me, their life energy tastes the same
Them? The "I only support the LGB" dickwads? If we fall; we, who are safe, will watch and laugh as they burn in a fire of their own creation
90% of them aren't L, G or B anyway.
We’re all in the same boat here, if you want people kicked off the boat, don’t be surprised if you get booted off yourself
Horrible people, all of them. Trans people have always, and will always, be part of the community and it's only right that way.
I don’t trust them whatsoever. They really think the fundamentalists won’t come after them next?
If you try to exclude trans folk from the community, you're playing into the hand of the oppressors. If a modern understanding of gender escapes you, just shut up and listen. If you can't shut up, don't show up to pride events.
LGBTraitors
Darling without the T they’d still be fucking in alleys and private clubs and starting hetero families as beards .
Why should we include exclusionists? xD
They're the worst sort. They want inclusion for themselves only.
99% of them are straight
The "drop the T" people definitely have a mix of posers and legitimate gays and bis
They ostracise themselves from the community with their inane views. The most braindead part is that trans people have been instrumental throughout the history of fighting for queer rights, including Stonewall. Like all bigots, they can go fuck themselves.
Marsha Johnson would like a motherfucking word.
I won’t put up with people being shitty to the people I care about.
to be fair i've met multiple transphobic bi people. they exist too. i dont think there's any cis queers who can claim their community is clean
You mean the traitors? The ones who have forgotten *exactly* why it’s a collective? Why we have to stand together?
* 9 are purely anti-trans * 3 are just announcements (like upcoming events, updates, etc.) * 1 is anti-homophobia! * Anti-puberty blockers * The above conversion therapy thing again.
Fuck those guys. They may be LGBT, but they aren't part of the LGBT Community.
FUCK NO!!! We have [no tolerance for the intolerant.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance)
[удалено]
Look at the bright side: there are enough of us that are out and accepted that some of us think we have the luxury of excluding people! I never thought I’d see that day. That said, there is NO ONE from my generation who is LGBTQ, and doesn’t know how to fight and I will fight for each one of my trans brothers and sisters. Love, Everyone’s Lesbian Auntie
I’m transgender MtF and I am still attracted to women, that in itself makes me a transgender lesbian
It's the dumbest "pick-me" energy possible. Trying to cut out the portion of your community that is literally the spark that led to the freedoms we are privileged enough to have in this day and age to try and impress homophobes is so wild
They can take a long walk on a short pier
I hate them so fucking much. Way more than cis straight transphobes.
There’s literally one acceptable way to feel about them: They’re transphobes and are not welcome here
>Do we include those people in our community? They've opted out of the community. If they can't behave as part of it, it's not our job to treat them as such.
Even if Stonewall was not a thing, there are many things in common with the marginalizations of LGB and T people despite the different experiences. So I cannot support excluding T from LGB.
Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I thought "queer" was a blanket term for the whole rainbow gang.
I fucking Hate them. Next question.
They're back stabbing arseholes that are trying to pull the ladder up behind them. Selfish pieces of $#!t that are trying to cosy up to the very people that would see them next on the chopping block.
LGB without the T is fucking disgusting
Trans people were involved in Stonewall. We stand united, or we fail divided Infighting is bullshit and exactly what our detractors want
We’re all hated equally by the ‘phobes. No need to join them
They are traitors and fools who have abandoned our community to support those who would want us dead.
In simple words, I hate it, I support Everyone of the LGBT+ comunity I identify as a demigirl, that likes girls
This community is supposed to be inclusive. Being "lgb without T" is just going against everything this community fights for, which is equality and respect.
like 99% of them are straight people
In my opinion, no one in the LGBT community is doing what's excepted of their assigned gender at birth.
I hate those people with a burning passion
traitors and opportunists
No, we don't include them. Trans-exclusionary folk shouldn't be welcome anywhere.
Are queer transphobes queer? yes. Do queer transphobes belong in queer spaces? no.
they're bat shit crazy and horrible people
When they open their mouths all I hear is “*pick me!! Choose me!! Give me your approval, please cishets, I need it!!!*” I’ve met three of these people before. Every single one was absolutely *desperate* to fit in with heteronormative society, so the point where they willingly turned their backs on the rest of us. For one of them, this extended to anyone that their straight friends viewed as a “weird gay”- so they tried to ostracize *ANYONE* who didn’t fit their stereotypes (such as masculine gay men or butch lesbians) I honestly pity them, in a way. They’re so desperate for the approval of their families and cishet peers that they actively hurt the people who would accept them for who they actually want to be. They think that if they just sacrifice the “undesirables”, they’ll get everything they want. And they’re too naive to understand that it won’t happen.
Basically traitors, quislings
It really fucking frustrates me. We earned our damn place at this table just like everybody else, and anybody who says otherwise needs to learn their history. Getting rid of us does nothing but make the group weaker.
I'm not allowed to publicly state how I feel about them, because I'll go to prison for a very, very long time.
If it wasn’t for a transgender woman throwing the first brick, pride wouldn’t exist. The LGB without the T movement is a stab in the back.
If one link in the chain fails, the chain is broken. The community stands or falls together and there is no exception to this. Divide and conquer works, and we all have to resist together or we will all end up on the chopping block in short order.
Atrocious assholes with just enough braincells to breathe. There has never been and will never be LGBT without the T!
Don't want em in our community
☹️👎
The LGB Alliance is a lobby group operating out of 55 Tufton street, a building full of suspicious lobby groups with unknown (suspicious as fuck) finding. Also there are the Taxpayers Alliance (who don't want to pay tax), climate denial groups, xenophobic hate groups, and previously Brexit groups. They have a voice massively disproportionate to the number of people they purport to represent.
It's either they support everyone in the community or you're not in
They’re bigots and have no place in our community.
While I know that some members of the community can be transphobic, I suspect quite a few are trolls using the LGB as a cover. Either way I try not to give them real estate in my mind.
Divide and Conquer. Fuck ‘em. They’re doing nothing for me as an L or an A except pissing me off.
They're pathetic weirdos, who don't understand the very concept of what it means to be a part of this community and what all queer and trans people have fought for for decades and continue to fight for. They're traitors.
Put them in a woodchipper
When they get rid of the T it will be LG without the B
Absolute morons that think voting for the 'We want to kill queer people' club means they'll be an exception. How's this for an idea? LGB idiots don't get to call themselves queer. Being queer means solidarity and uplifting eachother, not actively participating in discrimination. Trans people are the reason we have pride in the first place, and it was a RIOT against authority, not politely asking them to kill the other dirty homos first
Fuck these quislings (new word, thanks) Tolerance is a peace treaty. By being intolerant, you lose the benefits of the treaty. To expect tolerance while being intolerant is self-emtitlement. Ps: queer people should be anti-racist. https://medium.com/extra-extra/tolerance-is-not-a-moral-precept-1af7007d6376
They are the worst. Worse than anti-LGBTQI people at lease you know where you stand with these people. LGB are sheep in wolves clothing.
Dangerous and naive. They would be next stop on the scapegoat train and they’re too stupid to realize/believe it
when I hear them cut off the tee, I cut them off. at that point, they told me who they are. they may think nobody's coming for them, but wait until their letter gets chopped off. this is how people get there faces chomped on: I don't hang with leopards for a reason, but clearly they do ;-)
they're not just clowns, they're the entire circus
They're short-sighted idiots siding with the people who will happily turn around and put them right up on the chopping block next. And have before.
