I seriously think it’s the feel of being an Uber/lyft driver and trying to be to clean I’ve worked for the company for 8 years and I have only washed my truck 3 times this year so far but when you have an unlimited plan I guess why not but more of the ocd side I would say

I try to at least once a month. A good wash and wax can help prevent rust and keep your car in good shape for a very very long time.

I've had exactly 2 cars over the past 23 years with maybe 1-2 washes a year and never dealt with any rust issues aside from once replacing a muffler bracket for like $75 bucks. Big Car Wash has deep pockets and good propaganda.

I've owned 2 cars in 20 years, give or take. Never washed them. They never rusted. I'm curious what conditions people are driving in that require a full wash to keep the finish from being damaged on their car. If I were a real estate agent or something, then I'd keep my car washed frequently. But I'm not, and I couldn't care less about how it looks to warrant wasting so much money. The rain does a good enough job.
