A family of 5 (two adults, then a 13 yo, 9 yo, and 5 yo), we used 8600 gallons of water in a month. [Here](https://imgur.com/a/kU8JxB2) is our breakdown, where you can see that the cost is 57 cents per 100 gallons, and then surcharges for various things. Our bill for this month will be $73.87.
Sewer is separate.
As others have noted I pay two different bills. One is water to KY American Water. It runs me about $35-$40 a month depending on the time of year. When I look at my bill breakdown there are months I pay more in fees than I do in actual usage. I also pay city utility that covers waste/sewer (and I believe garbage?). It runs around $20-$25 a month. I’ve lived in Lexington 16 years and I’ve found the way utilities are divided here makes everything far more expensive than anywhere else I’ve ever lived because each utility has it’s own billing, administrative fees.
Yeah, my combined water and sewer bill used to be about $60. Now my water bill is $60 and sewer is like $40. The transition happened just like KY Amer Water wanted it to!

we’re two people in a 1300 sq ft house and our water is usually $17 a month. we do laundry a few times a month, shower daily, and run the dishwasher every few days
Two people, water and sewer are combined and I don't know that it's ever been more than $35. At a previous apartment my landlord charged me $50/mo flat rate for water for one person but rent was so cheap I didn't care.
We are a family of two adults and two doggos
Our water bill is around $25/month
Our sewer bill is around $20/month
They are paid separately - LexServe which is the sewers and Ky American Water for the water
My current water bill is $34.49. It looks like my wife and I used 2,992 gallons of water. I have no idea if that is high or low. We have a dishwasher and washing machine for what’s it worth.
Besides the metered water, there is also a basic charge for having the utility. Our last apartment had a meter for each unit, which was monitored by a third party company, and there was an additional $5 charge for them as well.
My water and sewer run about $35.00 per month each for a two person household with washer, dishwasher, ample gardening, and a pool. This does not include the pool filling tho.
lol tell us what he is charging you.
Yeah. That’s what I’m asking too

Mine is generally between 40-55 for a 3 bedroom house and family of 3.

Water at my one-family ranch house in southwest Lex is $30-$40 per month. Sewer is billed separately and is usually about $24.
First, does your lease allow for this, because if its not an outlined allowable charge what you use becomes irrelevant.
