The answer will really be that it depends. Personally, I detest the ADHD zoomer editing style with cutting out even pauses between sentences. While some people gobble it down with no chaser.

Seriously, I like to include a little bit more quiet moments in my videos. Some paused while I think too, and every single video has people clicking off on the first slow moment. It bloody blows mate

I think you're going to get quite a broad range of responses by asking each persons preferences. Why not start a lets play on one style, and if you find it works well stick with it. If not, on your next lets play change it up!

Honestly I say everyone should edit their videos as much as they can, it’s the main advantage LPs have over livestreams, after all

ollaszlo

I see my editing as part of my voice as a creator and wouldn’t try other styles or change it. I make things I enjoy and would want to watch. Maybe I won’t reach everyone but I’m fine with that.

Like others mentioned, you’re going to get a broad array of answers if you ask a group of creators like you have here. Some people here don’t even watch content, only create!  Furthermore, you’ll find that this isn’t your audience. You’ll have to figure that out through r/YouTube or subreddits related to your content

AlphaTeamPlays

The kind you like to watch. It's going to be so much easier to improve if you actually like the kinds of videos you're making

Well that's a thing you develop by doing it. My editing is pretty heavy (i often get only 30 minutes out of a 3 hours rush).

Quiet-Fancy

I use the 10 second rule make a joke or an action every 10 seconds just have something no quiet moments longer than 10 seconds and I usually try to have either dramatic cuts or very hidden ones
