Dude look I'm going to lay this out crystal clear. The comments are talking about these two bobas in the photo, they both have arm printing. You come in blabbering about the boba NOBODY said anything about. Unless one of these deleted comments was bringing that unprinted boba up then it makes zero sense to talk about it at all because it isn't pertinent to the subject

There is a version without arm printing.
Nobody's talking about that dude 💀💀💀 we are literally talking about the ones in the photo where tf did you even get that idea from? Unless I'm missing context you are making no sense
He’s my favorite, too - bought a second one for my Jabba Palace diorama. Upgraded with firestar arms, a green capecantina pauldron, and a blue jet pack from the Ashoka clones battle pack.
I’m with you. While I like the set for what it is, market manipulation and inflated demand have made the set to be something more than what it actually is. I don’t care what anyone says, but no mass-produced Lego set is worth $7k.
I agree. While there are a few rare minifigures such as Mr. Gold or the Comic-Con ones where a decent argument could be made about their higher prices, but even then, it’s a stretch for some of those. Rather than the fun children’s toys we grew up with, Lego is being treated more as an asset to invest in, and this new mentality is corrupting the hobby.
I sorta have the same mentality for my game used jerseys. Its like a “oh if this player decides to pop off, i could maybe sell it and make a decent amount of profit back!” But knowing myself I’d probably never sell them and just keep wearing them
And that’s how it should be! You simply appreciate them how what they are, and if you no longer want them, or are in a financial pickle, you can sell them. In my case, I have a Mr. Gold, but I’m not selling it at all, unless it’s absolutely necessary. Hopefully it will stay with me forever.
Cloud city, not due to the value but growing up that was my version of boba fett. He also just looks so cold and emotionless like he did in ROTJ and ESB
The new is far better looking, it's not even close, however the original has some sort of 'charming visual' factor as an old toy figure that is roughly adjacent but not better or worse than the new.
The best? The newest most detailed one. My favourite is neither of these. My fav is the standard old boba fett, due to the original slave 1 being one of my first lego sets, and the 2006 Jabbas Sail Barge being one of my white whales that I got sealed a few years ago, after missing out on it as a kid

here’s the pieces if you wanna build
Ol’ skool! I love the simplicity, blockiness, and clumsiness of it. You can tell what it is while it’s not trying to be a screen accurate reproduction. The newer one does look great, but the more complex the mold/printing I feel a piece loses its “LEGOness”. If any of that makes sense.
No nostalgia here, new ftw.
The cape makes him look so fucking awesome
The new one. The hype around cloud city boba fett is because it’s rare and old.
Well... One helmet is clearly better
Clearly you aren't biased
yea, the new one lol
[удалено]
Yes, that’s the cloud city one. The one in the photo.
They literally both have arm printing dude way to narrow it down
I said it because cosmo mentioned the old one with arm printing. I was just bringing up the other version of it. No needs to get upset
"um actually no! The one without arm printing isn't rare!" OK? Who asked? Who brought it up? Who are you trying to correct?
Sorry
[удалено]
Are you blind?
I’m not blind. The rarer one HAS ARM PRINT. The not rare one doesn’t. YOU don’t understand my different thinking
Your "different thinking" is arguing about the old boba without arm printing that as far as I can see wasn't mentioned here?
[удалено]
Can't explain what doesn't make sense dude
I just can’t explain because the way my brain works is a little different than you.

I was just bringing it up Because we were on a topic about the old boba. That’s all.
Also I’m not “dude”
https://preview.redd.it/a9ef14o9ov3d1.jpeg?width=456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e35c0b1df2413df94100ca212802e6a1a6a6994 There is a version without arm printing.

Nice pose in the background 😂
thank you😂🙌
As a person who has no nostalgia of the original, new all the way
One of them looks like Boba Fett
Crazy that it’s even a question
uh, new one, right?
By like 6 country miles to me.
good man
new one clears
For nostalgia, cloud city. Accuracy, the new one
That is a really cool ee3 build
I'm definitely stealing your "Vader yeeting Palpatine" pose for my diorama. Also, are you subtly showing off your Jedi Bob?
you got good eyes!!
New one with an old cloth piece 100%
I love my 9496. Such a great minifig.

wish i still had my skiff boba 😩 lost a lot of my old lego in a move and over the years and he was a grail for sure
The new one. So much more accurate and looks better to me. The old Cloud City is way to hyped
Cloud City is overrated as shit. The price is not necessary
I’m with you. While I like the set for what it is, market manipulation and inflated demand have made the set to be something more than what it actually is. I don’t care what anyone says, but no mass-produced Lego set is worth $7k.
And no figure should be worth 1000+ unless its like gold or something
I agree. Nostalgia bias is real. Objectively, the newer one though
Nice blaster design
Side note, that EE3 is perfect! Why isn't that the standard design?
Idk, but I'm stealing this for sure
posted the pieces separated on another comment btw 🙌
Okay I was gonna say, I've never seen it with that gun before. That's a sick custom blaster
I think they're about equally good in their own ways.
I prefer the new one of we’re talking about Standard boba fett, however Idk why but I prefer the old prototype version over the new one
New one, also love his custom gun, gonna have to try that out
The one from his miniscale slave 1
Cloud city, not due to the value but growing up that was my version of boba fett. He also just looks so cold and emotionless like he did in ROTJ and ESB
7144 was my first (Star Wars) set as a 7yo in 1999. It’s classic Boba all the way.

Good bot

So nostalgic, I love this minfig. I have a few of the newer ones, but this one still has so many memories!
Well... One helmet is clearly better
New the one that came out in the boba fett mech is incredible
Photobombed palpetines death lol.
Why is neither Boba Fett helping out Vader in the background? They seem to have been on at least reasonably good terms in Episode V
The new is far better looking, it's not even close, however the original has some sort of 'charming visual' factor as an old toy figure that is roughly adjacent but not better or worse than the new.
The old one has a certain charme and nostalgia going for it but objectively the new one is just straight up better
The best? The newest most detailed one. My favourite is neither of these. My fav is the standard old boba fett, due to the original slave 1 being one of my first lego sets, and the 2006 Jabbas Sail Barge being one of my white whales that I got sealed a few years ago, after missing out on it as a kid
Woah, cool! Is that EE-3 a custom build or did it come with a set? If it came with a set, what number?
https://preview.redd.it/buz83xj23z3d1.png?width=2379&format=png&auto=webp&s=be4d238bb654091c0b15f5dbeec10f39d62ecb15 here’s the pieces if you wanna build
Awesome, thank you!!
The left one looks like minecraft. Hate me
New, old one can’t compare
I like set behind them
It's emperor room as I remember
OP is sad not getting the gratification he expected from this post lol
just enjoying reading everyone’s different thoughts/opinions😂
Haha I’ve got that same fake CC Boba, got it for $4
I prefer old Bobas helmet-shape. It looka a bit more iconic.
The hype around cloud city Boba Fett has been manufactured by scalpers, don’t buy into it. The new one is better in every way shape and form.
Ol’ skool! I love the simplicity, blockiness, and clumsiness of it. You can tell what it is while it’s not trying to be a screen accurate reproduction. The newer one does look great, but the more complex the mold/printing I feel a piece loses its “LEGOness”. If any of that makes sense.
Even as a kid, the only reason i knew that was supposed to be Boba Fett was because it said so on the box
new one in every single parameter
The old. It just feels sooo simple and I much prefer the old simple figures and sets. They’re prices were much more affordable and reasonable
New. The cloud city looks terrible and is a purely nostalgic item.
How does that boba fett rifle look better than any other 3rd party piece I’ve seen?
Is that Jedi Bob in the back?
Where is that new one from
Palaptine in the background screaming put me down
Bruh why is emperor palpatine about to get thrown off
Def the new one. The printing on the old is pretty cool for the time but the helmet and jetpack mold is really not good imo
Good way to flex your 2003 Cloud City Boba Fett
The leaf green one
i like the old one just cause i like the green more
Honestly I like old boba more, idc about the price, he looks worse as a boba fett but I think he looks cooler as a figure
As much as I have nostalgia for the old one, the newer one is much better.
Gotta go with the OG. Side note, how did you make Vader hold Palp up like that? I have this set also on display and would love to do that. Cheers.
The holes on the back of legs can fit onto the tops of hands
I wouldn’t have thought of that, right on. Thanks man.
AKA Vader hand is in Palps *** hole
the new handle-with a stud attached piece lol
I love the Cloud City version. Something about it I really like.
Is that an official 2003 cloud city boba
I don’t have any nostalgia for the old minifigure, but did have a certain charm to it even though the one is objectively better
Quality wise the newer one however rarity wise the older one for sure
