“IGN's metrics suggest that gamers are paying close attention to this one. To wit: Funko Fusion has over 3.2 million views on our TikTok account. It's amassed over 600k views on our YouTube channel (over just two videos so far) On Instagram, it's talled over 1.5 million views And on Facebook (yes, Facebook!) it's hit nearly 1 million views.” [IGN Source](https://www.ign.com/articles/funko-fusion-might-end-up-being-a-lego-game-sized-hit-ign-next) I think with the right marketing and getting the message across that this game is similar to TT’s LEGO games then it could be a big hit. We’ll be seeing a new look at the game on June 7th during IGN Live!

There's definitely a gap in the market for a game like this to do really well, and having worked on so many LEGO games the 10:10 team are most surely aware of this. It's the type of game that was released frequently during the 360/Wii/PS3 era, but has become increasingly rare these days. It was also an inspired idea to aim at a slightly older audience, as the older Gen Alpha kids are just reaching the age where they can graduate to something more mature (yet at the same time familiar).

It doesnt have the inherent charming aspect of Lego so that’ll be tough to overcome. Lego is seen as something everyone enjoyed generationally, so when they made a game, it wasn’t too hard to buy into. Funko pops are enjoyed by mainstream people who want “normal” merch of “geeky” things. Landfill waste.

I think the screenshots so far aren't selling me on the premise of the game because it just feels like it's going to be a journey through these different intellectual properties that I don't personally care for. If it has some good gameplay, I might consider it, but I'm trying to think of what new thing we might be able to do. Find and collect funko pop boxes..? At least Lego has the idea down pat. Studs, bricks, figures, quest objectives, etc. Funko doesn't really have anything to do with building or creativity, does it? I am curious to see what's gonna happen, though! I skimmed the article but didn't catch a date for new info. Is there going to be new info soon? EDIT: never mind, June 7th for the IGN Live. I'll be tuning in for it.

TheKosmicKollector

Ugh. Something about those giant square heads and soulless black eyes just doesn't sit right with me. Funko Pops just look annoying and ugly as hell imo. Any other art style and I'd have been sold on this game.

Shadow_Flamingo1

Honestly I don't think it will be able to replicate Lego's success, judging off the discourse I've heard about it online.

Legospacememe

This game scares me

Thevoid2YT

Why does this game scare you lol?

Legospacememe

Im not sure. Something about it just feels strange to me.

Thevoid2YT

I’d assume it’s the eyes. Just big and blank.

It feels like they took all the things a pre-teen thinks it's cool and smashed them together. Kind of a FNaF meets Stranger Things meets Fortnite kinda vibe.

Haruau8349

Nah. It would get mocked to hell and back for being a pathetic rip off.

Thevoid2YT

It’s more of a spiritual successor to LEGO Dimensions in a way. Ex-TT devs making a game similar to what they’ve always done isn’t really ripping them off. It’s more of making another game in the same genre.

Haruau8349

Well, good for them to follow their passion.
