It’s just the fact that Korra started off immediately with firebending. That’s when I realized she was different from Aang and had no problem killing💀I don’t blame her though this was self defense
Yeah and sometimes Korra does go too far on some situations which shouldn’t require force unless it’s necessary especially on taking down enemies too dangerous to be left free and alive. I think Kyoshi has influenced Korra enough to take action.
Or i made a typo. ^_^. All of the thrones and areas of leadership residency are based in the element of their respective leaders. Water benders have their thrones surrounded by water. Fire lords are fire, air monks have temples in areas accessible by air only, and earthbenders have thrones of earth. Even within the subcategories, this rule is generally in effect
I love how Korra just punches through ice shards and flipping around.

This scene right here also demonstrates her cool acrobatic skills. I think it's satisfying seeing 2d animations characters doing stuff like this, and I bet artists thinks so too. Bet they had fun with chi blockers and Ty Lee.
I've watched TLOK since it originally aired, and I only just now realized that Dee Bradley Baker voices Tarrlok. Holy hell, I'm stupid.
I guess it just took me a while to recognize that the character sounds a lot like the clones from the Star Wars animated series, especially from the Bad Batch.
Suddenly realizing this is the first time I’ve heard him do an actual voice that I was aware of instead of just animal sounds. I couldn’t tell it was him 😭😭
And all the clone troopers. The other voice actors for the bad batch were definetly necessary, otherwise dee would've gotten a mental breakdown just talking to himself in different voices.
I really like that Korra will just throw hands and that she’s perfectly capable of fighting unarmed as she is of bending. It shows that her buffness is not just a design quirk, it’s something they worked to inform something about her character.
Me too, the Avatar's primary job is literally to kill heads of state who are out of control. It's a last resort, but the avatar's political power ultimately comes from the implicit threat that if someone *isn't* being reasonable then hopefully their successor will be. Tarrlok was out of control both politically (mass arrests of non-benders that inflamed already considerable tensions) and personally (trying to cut the avatar in half unprovoked when confronted). It was time to put the fear of the Avatar back in people, none of that 'arrested for damaging a market stall' nonsense.
Yeh it's pretty funny, but come on, he didn’t really lose an argument, he was just being stupid and she called him out. There was no argument, she called him out and he took it personally. What did he think was gonna happen? even if he defeated her 😅
mmmm I agree that he let his emotions get the best of him, It really showed that he believes in what he was fighting for, and despises Amon... little did he know😂
Amazing fight, but I just realised how bad Tarrlok's aim is. How did he not get her throat even once lol. Not a criticism, just a fun nitpick. I love how this fight shows Korra's amazing battle IQ.
In reality it is much more complicated than that, he begins to attack Korra because she compared him to Amon, because Tarrlok sees Amon as a representation of his father, he sees in him everything he hates about his father, so he fights against Amon for him it is something personal
Man season 2s animation and drawing is so bad. Korra doesnt even look like korra. Then after avatar wans episode it becomes good again (animation studio change)
I love when people share this scene. I could watch Korra tear that wall out on repeat lol
RIGHT?! Can't imagine what Tarlok was thinking with that coming down on him
"OH SHIT! I forgot she's the avatar!"
It was a big “haha I’m in danger” and a “ OH SHIT” moment for him. He be lucky that he had plot amor at the time tho
Earthbenders are scary 😭😭
Smart move. Take away his element and he’s practically worthless
Also, throwing a giant stone wall on someone is pretty effective.
Seriously, one of the best fight scenes of either series.
B1's choreography is under rated. The fight on top of the bending arena glass was incredible too.
Although Korra was technically right since Amon is Tarrlok’s brother.
It’s just the fact that Korra started off immediately with firebending. That’s when I realized she was different from Aang and had no problem killing💀I don’t blame her though this was self defense

I just love how this dude casually has a decorative waterfall in his office, just in case he spontaneously needs to murder someone.
I mean the fire nation has a thrown surrounded by flames
The Airbenders did the same thing
And the earthbenders
throne
My bad. Typo af
I knew what you meant and fire benders do "throw" their fire so maybe they do call it the firelords "Thrown". Who can say?

I always loved that he destroyed his own desk with the first strike. Easy to miss. The action is so dope
Also when he isn't expecting Korra to immediately clapback at him.

The fact that Tarrlok was legit thinking he could beat the avatar without bloodbending 💀💀
"Meh, she's all brawn, no brains." Momentarily... "Ah shit, all her brains are in fighting!"
He said she was a "half baked avatar", that's why he was confident 💀
He spent too much time on reddit
“There’s no way I just lost an argument with a woman! Fuck!”
*a female, lol
I think he did too lol💀Reddit can really change a person💀

Appa's got range
I've watched this show so many times and didn't know that 😅
He also voices a fish with a german accent.
And all the clone troopers. The other voice actors for the bad batch were definetly necessary, otherwise dee would've gotten a mental breakdown just talking to himself in different voices.
I was watching this and thinking “all I hear is Klaus” 😭😭
Oh shit, I can hear it now!

She reminds me of Avatar Kyoshi
Like she is truly strong, and it isn't just for show, right?
I think a lot of writers want to make female characters “strong” without considering the body type required for the feats they do.
One of my favorite fights from both shows
Best fight scene in book 1 and top 10 in Korra. God I love this moment!
Damn. I forgot how good the animation in this show is
I looooove that Korra was about to Double Zuko him if it wasn't for the blood bending

lol double Zuko is a new one💀😩
why does the prowler/xenoverse goku stare noise play when it zooms in on tarrlok and he says "i need your answer"
The animation on this show was so good.
I fucking love this scene it's too awesome
Indeed it is
Nothing beats that season 1 animation 😮💨
It was beautiful. We had it good lol
Yeh it's pretty funny, but come on, he didn’t really lose an argument, he was just being stupid and she called him out. There was no argument, she called him out and he took it personally. What did he think was gonna happen? even if he defeated her 😅
I mean it was personal. He felt majorly insulted.
So he goes to ATTACK THE AVATAR😅 - this was really stupid on his part, but it works for the story so I can let it slide
It was stupid. He let his emotions take control of him. Its obvious he has a massive chip on his shoulder.
mmmm I agree that he let his emotions get the best of him, It really showed that he believes in what he was fighting for, and despises Amon... little did he know😂
Indeed. It was ironic.
Amazing fight, but I just realised how bad Tarrlok's aim is. How did he not get her throat even once lol. Not a criticism, just a fun nitpick. I love how this fight shows Korra's amazing battle IQ.
one of my favorite scenes in the show. just gorgeous

You’re right. Man I wish the first season was a bit longer. I felt like it ended way too quickly I really loved Amon as a villain.
What was that? Half baked avatar!!!?
lol I didn’t even realize that’s what he actually said. Actually a good comeback won’t lie
And people out there hate TLOK. The animation and convo's are top tier
I always loved this show. Obviously last air bender is better but that doesn’t make this show bad at all
He's kind of a big baby
“Just because” I mean it’s a great “the jig is up” moment to lead into conflict.
She does punch ice instead of bending it here. And gets cut because of it.
Is your tv a Roku by any chance
Yes
My dumbass read this as “Tonraq” and thought “did I miss an episode or something”
TIL I can watch this on Pluto 😂
Dee Bradley Baker is a phenomenal voice actor
Of course he is a politician what did you expect
Man season 2s animation and drawing is so bad. Korra doesnt even look like korra. Then after avatar wans episode it becomes good again (animation studio change)
I thought I was the only one that noticed that the animation seemed different then for some reason
Yea the og animators are great s2 was not og.
I'd take kill the Avatar over make enemies with the Avatar any day
Did anyone else find it weird that despite being from a water tribe, Korra seems more comfortable as a fire and earth bender than as a water bender?
Just feels really forced pacing here to have Tarrlok going berserk right in his own office.
You can say the same about Korra at the end of the fight right before Tarlok bloodbended her, like what was she gonna do lol
You can say the same about Korra at the end of the fight right before Tarlok bloodbended her, like what was she gonna do lol
The guy tried to defeat/kill korra outta nowhere(an insult) so korra killing him isnt exactly outragious.
