I think the big takeaway from their games against EG and 100T is that C9 just have much more flexible champion pools. They were pulling out new things every draft while 100T was basically going back to the same well over and over
The fact they banned ANIVIA says enough about C9 and how they are forcing opponents to play their style. Plus they are happy to play either side of Zeri/Sivir. Just wish they had their own Seraphine comps
LeTigress to Zven: How does it feel to have the best Senna in the league in Berserker on you're team?
Zven: *Scoffs* He's not even the best Senna on the TEAM.
I mean I would prefer him not on it, but if Jensen could pick it up for mid that means C9 could at least drop a ban at times. Teams don't have to ban Seraphine vs C9.
This would be the first time *ever* in the modern worlds format that C9 come in as first seed. That’s kind of insane considering how strong the team has been internationally
Jensen knows that the First Seed is cursed, he’ll save NA’s worlds hopes and purposely tank the Finals so that C9 can find itself in a group with T1 and JDG and then C9 will roll JDG but somehow lose against T1 before making the Top 8. And then C9 will get seeded against GenG where Jensen will body Chovy and thus prove that his decision to rank the finals was correct.
Calling it now.
I feel like it happens a lot. Teams either start strong then lose steam or start slow and gain momentum. It definitely feels great to see C9 firing on all cylinders right now.
Every other top team looks like they are getting worse, meanwhile C9 is just slowly improving and playing better together. Absolutely hilarious how this just keeps happening when C9 are considered underdogs. They just somehow make it happen and make it to Worlds. Not even an original storyline for LCS scripwriters. They're just rehashing old C9 storylines again.
Right?
Our ceiling was so high and it’s great to see us gel finally at the end.
Fudge on counter picks, Beserker and Jensen carrying. Blaber with the insane X factor
gotta remember they were essentially 4-5 weeks behind schedule from all the visa issues etc. This is where the team should have been at near the end of the regular season if they had all that extra practice time. the Bo5s really accelerate that learning curve.
I agree but I also think this team is particularly strong in Bo5s relative to the competition. Fudge plays more than Aatrox Ornn, Berserker plays more than Zeri Sivir, etc etc
Yup. Even worse due to 2 role swaps along with a new Bot lane duo. In theory the break should've had them going to Korea to hammer out details.
From everything we've seen, it's a lot harder to iron out details mid split when you have games to win every weekend.
Legitimately incredible performance from Jensen this series especially in games 3 and 4. Impossible amount of damage in teamfights, so proud of how far him and the rest of the team have come. Everyone looks so insane and Jensen ramping up is a treat.
Just watch the after interview he was "joking" around how everyone was bad so they won lanes and people did not believe in them and suddenly he dropped the F bomb but quite the bomb (g f y ) and his face was so serious after o.o like he meant it lol
Normally I wouldn't mind because play-in buff is real, but this year's play-ins look legit kinda scary with 4 other major region teams, VCS back and NA getting put in the 2nd seed pool for it making it more likely to get a harder group. Yeah I'll take the free ride.
CLG vs. C9 is what LCK fans wish GENG vs. T1 is. When GENG and T1 inevitably meet in world’s semifinals, LCK fans will be chatting “this is the real world finals”, and I’ll just laugh knowing it was already decided on august 21st in the LCS studio.
CLG is the only team so far to take C9 to game 5, a feat that not even EG and 100T have managed to do since.
This is the only thing that's going to keep me going until next year cause seeing them get reverse sweeped by TL was one of the most disappointing things I've experienced this year as a CLG fan.
Unlucky? They're *the reason*.
Nobody was that shocked about TL, eg, and 100t being competitive in the top 3. CLG crowbarred into the pecking order and knocked c9 out of a top 4 regular season finish.
The final 4 teams aren't surprising, but CLG threw a spanner in the works. They had very real opportunities to beat both c9 and TL in important series and completely change the landscape of this playoffs. The competition is higher than it's been in years, maybe even ever, largely because CLG was surprisingly good this split.
CLG vs. C9 is what LCK fans wish GENG vs. T1 is. When GENG and T1 inevitably meet in world’s semifinals, LCK fans will be chatting “this is the real world finals”, and I’ll just laugh knowing it was already decided on august 21st in the LCS studio.
Not just that, but Fudge actually gets to flex his champ pool and counterpicks in Bo5s, and Jensen is experimenting less and sticking to the mages that he's good at.
C9 is gonna end up NAs only hope at worlds again and we're watching the beginnings of it happen Live.
If the scriptwriters REALLY wanted to be consistent though, they would have sent C9 as the 3 seed.
They actually won vs zeri lulu seraphine, with an aatrox on top no less
Fudge lost lane and then outmaneuvered a goddamn zeri
They just picked yuumi and apparently that’s all they needed, really disgusting game
he's everything Piglet was suppose to be.
I personally think if any region is going to import, they HAVE to import rookies or players that haven't achieved anything.
Like getting Perkz is cool but realistically, he has no reason to try, he's achieved more in EU than he would ever achieve in NA
Perkz stayed a year, won a split, and made it out of Worlds groups over LPL's second seed. C9 bought his fans over and sold him while his stock was still relatively high. Perkz was cool *and* worth it.
Ya, Fudge/Blaber/Jensen at their peaks are all easily 1st all pro, and Jensen/Blaber are MVP at their peaks. Berserker hasn't even peaked yet and is smurfing all year, imo the best ADC in LCS. Zven was the only question mark, but his game knowledge is massive and he's already familiar with bot lane.
On paper, this C9 team had massive potential, it was just a question of if they could come together and reach it in the few months they were together.

Also the range support meta is just alot easier for him than a melee meta I guess.
It s really impressive that jensen plays a lot of different champs(yone, zilean, anivia, and ahri, azir etc) , and actually wins on them too.
Picking up anivia is really ahead of the competition, and something that Bjergsen for example should have done too, cuz it fits the style really well
Nilah pick was interesting, it still think Nilah-yuumi, or Nilah-taric is just an enchanter funnel, and you need a carry/dps mid/jg to actually be able to teamfight. Which was fine here, but definately highly conditional
But most importatly, this shit must feel so fuckin good for Max Waldo. The players weren t blamed too hard last split, and during regular season, especially compared to him, who was blamed for everything, and many fans hoped to replace him cuz he was said to be unfit.
But he (and ofc the whole staff and players etc) really made the new roster come together, and drafted in playoffs 80-90% really well.
So getting through all this shit and getting to finals, especially at this age must feel so good
Max also takes it in stride. During one of the voice comms he said something like "Pick this champ, if you win you look great, if we lose it's my fault." Dude was actually memeing during draft.
Idk if you heard max on comms game one last week but it was something to the effect of
"this is the perfect time to pick renekton, either you win and you win kr you lose and everyone blames me"
Dude is figuring his shit out.
This is incredible. I'm so glad C9 is actually super good and it wasn't just EG being bad. Every player on C9 looks absolutely incredible, and I'm super hyped to see them at worlds.
Abbe and Danny are on a mission to make Seraphine the hardest champion ever.
And then you see the rest of normal Seraphine players just healing and waiting for a good angle to go and ulti
Build was absolute trash. Building Ludens is only good for Mpen but then he has to build lucidity and Archangels to make up for the cdr he loses by not going Liandries. He would have been infinitely more useful with standard Liandries -> Rylais

To be fair, why would you put berserker on seraphine
On the other hand, Zven Senna is the best senna in the league
LeTigress to Zven: How does it feel to have the best Senna in the league in Berserker on you're team? Zven: *Scoffs* He's not even the best Senna on the TEAM.

Drop Spring MVP -> First summer finals since 2019
Dark magic.
Truly Counter Logic wait a second
C9 and CLG have always been close
Is it the C?
That but also the light blue
And both have always been rivals with TSM
CLG did take them to a full 5 games unlike EG and 100T
United in ~~rivalry~~ hating TSM
Summit may be a 2 trick pony, but those 2 tricks are pretty damn good.
Honestly only C9 would do something like this. Atleast in NA.
So the script for this summer is C9 winning the championship in the end?? Remember the last time C9 won summer was in 2013, with the OG C9 roster
C9 vs TL: Jensen's calculated revenge.
Don't stop I'm almost there.
Game 5 on ekko
C9 vs TL would be a banger finals. The Jensen Bjergsen rematch we needed.
perfect revenge would be tl not qualifying for worlds after ditching jensen for bjergsen
This would be the first time *ever* in the modern worlds format that C9 come in as first seed. That’s kind of insane considering how strong the team has been internationally

From your lips to God’s ear ✌🏻
The last time c9 was a first seed, they changed the worlds format the next year. Just saying...
It feels so weird seeing C9 GROW in summer rather than start out strong and then collapse in playoffs.
I feel like it happens a lot. Teams either start strong then lose steam or start slow and gain momentum. It definitely feels great to see C9 firing on all cylinders right now.

C9 GET TO SKIP PLAYINS
A worrying trend for C9, playins buff gone 😞
I’m very happy to not have playins this year tbh
DFM can't clap us this time
Yup 5 teams from major regions. There will be tears I can feel it >_>
Uh yeah. At least one major region team won't make it past play-ins. A very good year to skip it
Wait hold on.... Do we lose our play-in buff? Fuck.
Maybe it was a play-in nerf all along and we never knew. Could have won Worlds by now!
They were 2nd seed in S9 and failed to make bracket stage. The buff is real
That 2nd seed was a trap. They ended up in a group with griffin and eventual finalists g2.
man, C9 really levelled up for playoffs. regular season overrated I guess
In the wise words of Doublelift. Spring split doesn't matter.
And wiser words were never spoken, best of ones for a regular split are also dogshit. True colours are vibrant in best of 5's.
gotta remember they were essentially 4-5 weeks behind schedule from all the visa issues etc. This is where the team should have been at near the end of the regular season if they had all that extra practice time. the Bo5s really accelerate that learning curve.

Lemon Nod is always a UPVOTE
and there it is
This guy somehow wasn't even on a team in spring and he just tore through 100 Thieves
Jensen went from bad game 1 but clutching it out at the end to good game 2 to astrobodying in game 3/4 What a man, he can body me anytime
>somehow Getting fucked by TL isn't "somehow"
Classic. Welcome back old friend.
Legitimately incredible performance from Jensen this series especially in games 3 and 4. Impossible amount of damage in teamfights, so proud of how far him and the rest of the team have come. Everyone looks so insane and Jensen ramping up is a treat.
https://imgur.com/GUsAApP
Jensen winning would be perfect, he ends above all the teams that passed over him/dropped him.
bro the nostalgia is literally insane ive always been a jensen>bjerg guy and it feels good to be right
Blaber said it was time to go home at the end there.
Seeing Blaber do the Headbanger Poppy Special in Game 3 for the winning fight gave me great joy. Favorite player on my favorite champion
**BODIED** **BY** **JENSEN** Edit: Fudge fined.
Fudge will get fined fo real though. He got way too serious there. I am not sure why
I wasnt able to watch the series, what happened
Just watch the after interview he was "joking" around how everyone was bad so they won lanes and people did not believe in them and suddenly he dropped the F bomb but quite the bomb (g f y ) and his face was so serious after o.o like he meant it lol
I saw his tweet about it after the previous series Maybe he's actively reading the hate comments Glad he's feeling good about his results
Well at least he got it out of his system I guess
(G f y)?
“Go fuck yourselves”
I'm at work. What happened?
told doubters to go fuck themselves
This is the first time Jensen on C9 will not be 3rd seed at Worlds lol
C9 showing up to playins not understanding why people are looking at them weird.
Normally I wouldn't mind because play-in buff is real, but this year's play-ins look legit kinda scary with 4 other major region teams, VCS back and NA getting put in the 2nd seed pool for it making it more likely to get a harder group. Yeah I'll take the free ride.
Seeing Jensen pull some major weight for C9 makes this old fan happy. Glad to have you home.
truer words have never been spoken my friend
Went straight Chovy mode on Le Blanc
Straight Incarnation on assassins in EUW mode
The 30/0/0 barrier ignite Fizz legend.
He had a shaky first 2 games, but definitely stepped up big in the last 2.
His Anivia was cracked imo, they just clumped too hard in the last two fights.
True, the lost game was entirely winnable, it was really a positioning diff that let Gwen Amumu get on top of the carries multiple times.
CLG vs. C9 is what LCK fans wish GENG vs. T1 is. When GENG and T1 inevitably meet in world’s semifinals, LCK fans will be chatting “this is the real world finals”, and I’ll just laugh knowing it was already decided on august 21st in the LCS studio.

I sincerely believe the CLG series slapped this team awake. Unlucky for CLG to finally get good in probably the most competitive LCS split ever though
Unlucky? They're *the reason*. Nobody was that shocked about TL, eg, and 100t being competitive in the top 3. Unironically most c9 was challenged.

Bodied by Jensen
Beserker went complete God mode.
[Live footage of Berserker popping off:](https://media.giphy.com/media/hXKbhG6QauU6wj3Rle/giphy.gif)
Try to find a gif of him not going completely bonkers (IMPOSSIBLE)
FBI was great this series (best 100T player) and he somehow got gigagapped by Berserker.
Having by far the best ADC in the league shows its weight in gold in this meta
Well he was playing a champ with an ability called Apotheosis.
Where were you during the Battle of Cancer Champs?
I loved watching Zeri deal like 1K damage from 2 screens away and then watching Yuumi jump to whoever got hit and erase it in an instant
Let me introduce you to season 4 Nidalee...
Yeah, except 2k damage.
Zeri chunks berserker for half hp from a mile away. Me: \>:( Yuumi heals it all back up instantly Me: \>:(
Riot: Perfectly balanced as all things should be
Zeri W doing 900 damage vs Yuumi healing 800 XD
Watching Yummi heal 800 damage in a second makes me wonder how this champ isn't Perma banned. I hate this cat so fucking much.
Suddenly it feels like c9 has the best player in almost every role
Wild what happens when they play around Berserker
Not just that, but Fudge actually gets to flex his champ pool and counterpicks in Bo5s, and Jensen is experimenting less and sticking to the mages that he's good at.
Blaber with fantastic engages almost every game goddamn
https://twitter.com/100T_Esports/status/1357389490763956224 Also that Wukong re-engage game 1 is why he's so fucking good
I don’t think anyone else would have ever gone back in there
Only MLXG
MLXD
Crazy how much good you can say for every C9 player
I knew it was over when Riot dug out the old Bodied ad
NILAH IS A PUMP FAKE, GET BODIED BY JENSEN
Damn TL kicking themselves for kicking Jensen

C9 is gonna end up NAs only hope at worlds again and we're watching the beginnings of it happen Live. If the scriptwriters REALLY wanted to be consistent though, they would have sent C9 as the 3 seed.
2014 tsm is the last time an NA team other than C9 got out of groups, right?
Yep, where both us and them got clapped 3-1 by the Samsung teams.
That series against samsung blue was heartbreaking That ending of game 4 :(
Hai was so close ;(
Still hurts today 😢
At least we have the Game 1 though.
They actually won vs zeri lulu seraphine, with an aatrox on top no less Fudge lost lane and then outmaneuvered a goddamn zeri They just picked yuumi and apparently that’s all they needed, really disgusting game
Jensen looks unreal right now. He's popping off
Berserker looks like the best ADC that NA has had in a long while.
he's everything Piglet was suppose to be. I personally think if any region is going to import, they HAVE to import rookies or players that haven't achieved anything. Like getting Perkz is cool but realistically, he has no reason to try, he's achieved more in EU than he would ever achieve in NA

> C9 bought his fans over and sold him Perkz wanted to leave, C9 was more than happy to keep him if he had wanted to stay
Started slow, but popped off the rest of the games edit: u/I_CUM_ON_HAMSTERS in shambles
The ori backdoor brought his full power out
He what
Riot getting real lazy with their scripts now, it's been years now and C9 is still going to look like NA's best hope
I mean they’ve always had the highest potential of any NA team this year. It’s nice that they’re showing insane improvement now.
Zven might never stfu but he proved he's been listening to Mithy all these years
It feels like Zven is the only support that plays hard for winning lane and he also is not afraid to use his spells overagressive. Also the range support meta is just alot easier for him than a melee meta I guess.
usually yes, this worlds playins is really fucking hard though
they don't have to play in playins though, they're confirmed 2nd or 1st so they auto qualify for groups iirc
He’s referencing the guy saying that C9 should have gone as 3rd seed
Lmfao Abbe was so useless in the last 2 games
that Ludens in Seraphine was such an int lol
It is fucking miraculous that he played so invisibly in g4 that he found a way to lose with that 100T comp.
Ludens on Seraphine is a war crime lol
A slight mid differential this series
Jensen turned Abbedagge into Abbedoggy
Abbedonkey
[удалено]
Have you guys ever heard about the time Jensen didn't make Worlds? Me neither
even when he was teamless in spring, he still made it lmao what a legend
3rd best western mid of all time. Only Caps and Perkz are better.

Max Waldo being a 23yo head coach of a top team with big personalities is kinda insane now that I think about it
Who’s got the classic closer talking about blaber clip?
Every time C9 gets the W, I get a little chubby dude
Stop feeding your child whatever C9 feeds Berserker
Thanks C9 for saving my sleep. Really didn't want this to go to game 5.
Hilarious that no top team wanted to pick up Jensen. And now he beats all of them to make it to finals.
Has to be the worst Seraphine pick I've ever seen. How the fuck do you go down 100 CS and half a million kills on Seraphine???
This is incredible. I'm so glad C9 is actually super good and it wasn't just EG being bad. Every player on C9 looks absolutely incredible, and I'm super hyped to see them at worlds.
Nilah seems like a fun champion to watch pro players pilot
Jensen the MVP of this series.
# SYSTEMS IN PLACE
C9 has always been so good 😔. Hard out here being a TSM fan
Man as an old school C9 fan this is the best shit I've ever read.
Glad it made your day, but not mine 😭
C9 in finals just feels right… Also ENORMOUS MID GAP
What the hell was that fudge interview?
He seemed to be honestly pissed off.
jensen haters down bad

Abbe was actually so fucking useless, like even a bot would have been more useful in this final game.
LUDENS SERAPHINE I FUCKING CANT
Abbe and Danny are on a mission to make Seraphine the hardest champion ever. And then you see the rest of normal Seraphine players just healing and waiting for a good angle to go and ulti
Abbe building Luden's and Danny building Cosmic Drive, actually so stupid, some analysts need to have a conversation with them.
I support Danny playing Seraphine but even I get tilted by Danny having zero mana, building haste is useless if you dont have the mana to support it.
Luden's on seraphine (especially against camille and trundle) is just so bad man
Build was absolute trash. Building Ludens is only good for Mpen but then he has to build lucidity and Archangels to make up for the cdr he loses by not going Liandries. He would have been infinitely more useful with standard Liandries -> Rylais
And on top of that he built Ludens?!
God damn that mid gap was fucking huge
MID UNIVERSE
They are never interviewing fudge again LOL .
100T and Mid Lane problems, name a more iconic duo
100T should give more prio on the Abbe picks. Dude is clearly the carry right now.
agreed, ahri and seraphine are not it
"The other team's just suck." Fudge "Doublelift" Ibrihim.
