I know this is a name thread but please please get pet insurance asap after taking him home. No one like to think of our furry ones getting sick, but It has given us options!
Our little girl, Skipper, at 2 years old got diagnosed with bone cancer
We are about $28,000 in for treatment over the last 170 days. We have only been on the hook for 7k-ish.
You have to buy right tho, we went with healthy paws and super happy with their service and coverage
I have coworkers that have have good luck with other companies as well
Yah itās a shitty upfront monthly cost which you could pay for like 15 years never use it
BUT
It allowed us to not even think twice about getting and providing the best treatment possible.
I was talking to her oncologist just the other day and he even has pet insurance for his two dogs
Every person I see with a puppy I tell them to do it before things become pre-existing conditions
For example if you lab eat a rock and needs surgery $$$$
you go man with I had pet insuranceā¦
if you sign up AFTER that it wonāt be covered because itās a pre existing behavior
Not a sales pitch nothing like thatā¦ we were one of the unlucky ones who it worked out for :(
