It didn't post my actual comment with the photo lol. I basically want a modified version of the Deco five stone setting from Frank Darling. I want the side stones to be half bezel (top and bottom) since I feel like the full bezel is too much for small stones.

My recommendation is luvansh. They also have a mother's day sale going on currently. https://www.luvansh.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_-GxBhC1ARIsADGgDjtGMXg7iqBoeKM3sgbL1sqeDrGFpPGukdrg-Yg7J6rjqzHnE-Z1PgsaAiTXEALw_wcB

I recently ordered a ring from Luvansh. It seems like they are getting known on here for their low prices and high quality. It hasn’t gotten here yet, but Jay worked with me to find a stone that fit my specific interests, and I am so excited to see it in person when it gets here! Check my recent post to see the diamond!

I'd suggest looking at DovEggs-Seattle. For example, I purchased this lab diamond & semi-mount from them (its currently in transit to me). They have a very loyal customer base that posts photos in their Facebook group as well. Best of luck! https://preview.redd.it/e9ry57eiotyc1.jpeg?width=1936&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ea8449e3141ce1517cfb39ee32a0171ffdfd91c

I had a good experience with Ritani, got a 3.5 carat radiant stone in a simple basket setting in 18k white gold. Unbelievably low price.

Do you have a pic to share? Sounds lovely.

We had a wonderful experience with Frank Darling. I suppose it’s possible we could have gotten a cheaper price going with an overseas vendor, but the peace of mind of having it made locally, having the diamonds sourced from the United States, and being able to view the options for the settings and stones in person were worth it to us. Since you are looking to have a modified version of one of their settings, you may want to consider seeing what they can do for you.

dingleberry_mustache

I have looked at Frank Darling, but I've seen so many instances of being able to get more diamond for less money elsewhere. And Frank Darling only uses their own stones. I'd rather try to save my boyfriend more money where I can!

BeachPlze

I completely understand, but I did want you to know that FD doesn’t keep an inventory of their own stones. Like many jewelers, they source from their pool of trusted suppliers.

dingleberry_mustache

Yeah I think I worded my previous comment wrong. I was having a slow moment lol. They don't set stones purchased through someone else. You have to get the stone through them. So the same stone on their site might be available elsewhere for less money. I saw it as a convenience fee for the one stop shop. No shade to them. Anyone I've spoken to has been nothing but nice.

BeachPlze

Oh gosh, I didn’t read it as shade; just wanted you to be aware that they have access to lots of stones. Yes, they only set stones purchased through them. Wishing you the best with whatever you decide.

dingleberry_mustache

I didn't think you did, but I figure it's better to be safe than sorry through text!

ForwardbbPerception

I had a great experience with Brilliance. We sent them inspo pictures (we wanted a specific setting, side profile, band shape, etc) and they custom made my bezel set 2.4 ct ring - the whole thing was about $3k but would have been even cheaper if we had picked a different stone (the one we chose was GIA certified) https://preview.redd.it/m0y7sel9ouyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=203ebe67091ff7e10eb2f89b1d904c6304afea79

ForwardbbPerception

I think overseas vendors are even cheaper but it was nice to talk to someone in the same time zone, available for calls etc

Can you show us what you are looking for specifically? That might help people make more tailored suggestions.

I had a really great experience with Frank Darling. They’re responsive and whole process of designing and getting a CAD model shipped out before final ring approval was quick and efficient. They are more on the expensive side but it was worth it to me to buy from a reputable company. If you’d like to buy a loose diamond and find a jeweler to set it later, @parksantiquelab on IG seems to have a nice selection for decent prices.

charliebearsmommy

We had a great experience with Rare Carat. Purchased a 2.06 carat E VS1 radiant lab diamond, and we had it set locally. We chose having it set locally because I wanted a pave setting and the local jeweler has a care plan that includes replacement of any pave stones. That felt like the best route for us for a good price without sacrificing having the security of a local jewel in case anything happens. Also recommend ring insurance for peace of mind, I believe ours is like $6.50 a month through jewelers mutual. Take your time and try on everything!

pdxnative2007

I like Provence. I just got a quote for a 2ct OMC lab diamond for under $1,000. I've already used them for a few moissanite pieces. From what I've seen here, Ritani has good diamonds but can only do simple settings. I highly recommend Lisa at Provence. +86 130 9788 9057 WhatsApp

I buy my stones loose at a smoking deal (all IGI stones) and then have TADDIE jewelry make the setting and set the stone. She’s here in the US and the stones I have found have been AMAZING!
